A vehicle display device includes an image display device in which an upper display area is disposed to face an eye point of a vehicle, a combiner, an accommodating part that accommodates a lower display area of the image display device and is formed with an opening, and a reflective member that reflects the lower display area toward the combiner. When viewed from the eye point, a first image, which is an image of the opening reflected in the combiner, overlaps the upper display area, and a boundary line of the first image has gaps of first widths between the first image and the upper display area. The first image overlaps a second image which is an image of the lower display area reflected in the combiner, and the boundary line of the first image has gaps second widths between the first image and the second image.

Vehicle display device

A vehicle display device includes a first display unit and at least one second display unit. The first display unit includes an image display device that displays an image on a display surface of a surface, the second display unit includes a display plate portion disposed along a second display area on the cover glass, and a light guide portion including a light guide member that guides light from a light source and radiates the light to the display plate portion. The light guide member of the light guide portion is supported by a case, and protrudes between an edge portion of the image display device and the cover glass. The cover glass includes a gradation portion that is disposed in a position along a boundary with the second display area in a first display area and becomes thinner as getting away from the boundary.

An upper display region and a lower display region are provided on a display surface of a single display device used for a combination meter device or the like for a vehicle, and by reflecting a light image of a real image displayed in the lower display region by a reflecting member and projecting the light image in a state of overlapping the upper display region, a virtual image and a portion of the real image are simultaneously displayed to be overlapped on the same region. By arranging the lower display region in a place that becomes a blind spot of a structure such as a steering wheel, it is possible to effectively utilize a space of the blind spot for performing display. By allowing an inclination angle of the reflecting member to be adjusted, position alignment between a region of the real image and a region of the virtual image is implemented even when a viewpoint EP position is changed.

On-vehicle display apparatus

A display device for vehicle capable of reducing visual recognition burden on a driver and shortening watching time is provided. The display device for vehicle includes a liquid crystal display including a first area, a second area and a third area as display areas, and a CPU configured to switch the liquid crystal display between a normal display mode and a simple display mode. The CPU is configured to, in the normal display mode, make the first area, the second area and the third area to display vehicle information, and in the simple display mode, put the first area and the second area in a non-displayed state and make only the third area to display in digital indication at least speed information among the vehicle information.

Display device for vehicle

In a display control apparatus, a cooperation unit capable of detaching from a meter device is prepared, and a smartphone is connected to the cooperation unit. The display control apparatus responds to changes in specification of a smartphone by cooperation function of the cooperation unit. The cooperation unit reads a cooperation pattern number stored in a memory on a meter device, and grasp an output image size, a display position, presence and absence of blank image. The cooperation unit receives an image data on a screen of the smartphone, and transmits image data in which change of display size, position adjustment and so on is performed to the meter device. The cooperation unit accepts a user input operation on an operation input device, transmits it to the smartphone so as to enable remote operation during driving.

Display control apparatus for a vehicle information display

In an indicating-needle type meter device, when starting excitation of a stepping motor, a controller sets the phase of an excitation signal to a predetermined excitation start position and returns the phase of the excitation signal by a predetermined reversal angle such that an indicating-needle rotates in the backward direction, thereby positioning the indicating-needle at a stopper position. Subsequently, the controller advances the phase of the excitation signal by an origin return angle to rotate the indicating-needle in the forward direction to an origin position apart from the stopper position by a predetermined angle, thereby positioning the indicating-needle at the origin position. Here, the origin return angle is an angle obtained by adding a backlash angle, a predetermined positive pre-offset angle, and a positive placing error correction angle set based on a placing error of the indicating-needle with respect to the stopper.

Indicating-needle type meter device

A head-up display device which can reduce heat generation and perform efficient control by controlling a drive current of a motor is provided. After a combiner is held in a display position, a microcomputer controls duty of drive pulse supplied to the motor so that the motor is operated by low torque drive of torque 50% when adjusting an angle of the combiner according to the operation of a forward/backward tilting switch. Furthermore, the microcomputer controls duty of drive pulse supplied to the motor so that the motor is operated by normal torque drive of torque 100% when moving the combiner from a storage position to a display position and from the display position to the storage position according to up-and-down operation.

Head-up display device

An on-vehicle display device includes a first display section provided in an area within a width of a steering wheel of a vehicle viewed from a driver sitting on a driver seat of the vehicle and which displays at least one piece of report information concerning a state of the vehicle, a second display section provided in an area outside the width of the steering wheel viewed from the driver and which displays an image, and a control section which controls displays of the first display section and the second display section respectively. When a piece of report information is displayed on the first display section, the control section controls to display an information image corresponding to the piece of report information on the second display section.

On-vehicle display device

There is provided a method of returning a pointer driven by a motor to an origin point disposed between a starting point and an endpoint of a movement range of the pointer, the method comprising the steps of: moving the pointer from an arbitrary point in the movement range to a reference point that is away from the starting point by not less than a distance between the starting point and the origin point; thereafter moving the pointer from the reference point toward the starting point; detecting the pointer by a sensor at a detection point whose relative position with respect to the origin point is known; and stopping, when the pointer at the detection point is detected, the pointer moving from the reference point toward the starting point at a predetermined point of time based on timing of the detection of the pointer at the detection point.

Method of returning pointer to origin point

A stepping motor drive is provided, by which a recoil movement of a driven member upon an initialization action can be reduced. The stepping motor drive includes: a drive signal supply means which supplies a plurality of periodic drive signals having different phases from each other to generate a rotation torque in a stepping motor, one electric cycle being constructed by a plurality of excitation steps; a control means which makes the drive signal supply means supply the drive signal upon a initialization action in which a driven member connected with rotation of the stepping motor is made abut against a stopper; and a first storing means which stores a torque control parameter according to an inversion phase characteristic intrinsic to the stepping motor.

Stepping motor drive

The object of the invention is to provide a stepper motor apparatus and a method for controlling a stepper motor, and particularly relates to a stepper motor apparatus for driving a pointer and a method for controlling the stepper motor. When an ignition switch is turned on, CPUstarts to feed a driving signal into the stepper motor in order to cause the stepper motor to rotate in a backward direction. Upon detecting that a protrusionis in abutment with a stopperon the basis of induced voltage generated on excitation coilsand, CPU stop rotation of the stepper motorby maintaining the driving signal's phase at which the abutment is detected. Subsequently, CPUfeeds the driving signal into the stepper motorin order to drive the stepper motorto rotate in a direction where the protrusionis driven against the stopper, and then stops rotation of the stepper motorin a forward direction by maintaining a predetermined phase at which the driving signal arrives. Thereafter, CPUdrives the stepper motor to rotate such that a pointerhomes in on its commanded position &#x3b8;i.

Stepper motor apparatus and method for controlling stepper motor

A stepper motor driving apparatus, includes a stepper motor; a driven member interlocked with a rotation of a rotor of the stepper motor, a stopper stopping the driven member in a zero position, a controller controlling the excitation state of an excitation coil of the stepper motor, an induced voltage waveform detector detecting an induced voltage waveform generated on the basis of change of magnetic flux in accordance with the rotation of the rotor, and a zero position detector detecting whether the driven member is stopped in the zero position. The zero position detector includes a comparator which compares a time Tin which each induced voltage waveform exceeds a predetermined threshold value with a predetermined contact determining reference time Tref, and a determinant which determines whether the driven member is stopped in the zero position by the stopper based on a result of the comparison by the comparator.

Stepper motor driving apparatus

A driving device, includes a stepping motor having an exciting coil and a rotor; a driven member driven in accordance with a rotation of the rotor; a stopper mechanically stopping the driven member at a zero position; a controller controlling the state of excitation of the exciting coil; an induced voltage detector detecting an induced voltage generated by a change of magnetic flux according to the rotation of the rotor; and a zero position detector detecting a stoppage of the driven member at the zero position. The controller supplies an exciting pattern to the exciting coil at the time of processing of zero position detection. The exciting pattern includes a first exciting step for detecting the induced voltage and a second exciting step for rotation. Total periods of the first exciting step is greater than that of the second exciting step during an electrical angle 90&#xb0; in the one cycle.

Driving device for stepping motor

When excited states of excitation coils are controlled at a both excitation step of magnetizing both of two excitation coils, an initializing driving means inputs excitation pulses in which a duty ratio thereof at an interval of time controlled by the both excitation step is less than 1 to the excitation coils. Contact detecting means detects contact based on voltages generated at the excitation coils when the excitation pulses are not inputted.

Initializing drive apparatus

A drive unit for calibrating an indicator/meter of a vehicle is provided in which a pointer in an indicator for a vehicle can point immediately after an ignition switch is turned ON, and the frequency of seeing motion of the pointer in an initializing operation by a car driver is reduced. A sensing mechanism ( - ) is provided to sense an open/close operation of a door. Correspondingly to the sensing of the sensing mechanism ( - ), a drive-start mechanism ( - ) starts rotation of a stepping motor using a drive mechanism ( - ) for initialization. The drive mechanism ( - ) during initialization rotates the stepping motor to move a driven member toward a stopper.
