Provided is a titanium composite materialincluding: a first surface layer portion; an inner layer portion; and a second surface layer portion; wherein: the first surface layer portionand the second surface layer portionare composed of a titanium alloy; the inner layer portionis composed of a commercially pure titanium including pores; a thickness of at least one of the first surface layer portionand the second surface layer portionis 2 &#x3bc;m or more, and a proportion of the thickness with respect to an overall thickness of the titanium composite materialis 40% or less; and a porosity in a cross section perpendicular to a sheet thickness direction is more than 0% and 30% or less.

Titanium material for hot working

A titanium product includes an inner layer portion and a surface layer portion joined to the inner layer portion. The surface layer portion has a composition consisting of, by mass %, O: 0.4% or less, Fe: 0.5% or less, Cl: 0.020% or less, the balance: Ti and impurities. The inner layer portionhas pores and a composition consisting of, by mass %, O: 0.4% or less, Fe: 0.5% or less, Cl: more than 0.020% and 0.60%, the balance: Ti and impurities. The area fraction of the pores in the inner layer portion in a cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the titanium product is more than 0% and not more than 30%. The Cl content (Cl) of the inner layer portion, a thickness (t) of the surface layer portion, and a thickness (t) of the inner layer portion satisfy the expression [Cl&#x2264;0.03+0.02&#xd7;t/t].

An &#x3b1;+&#x3b2; titanium alloy extruded shape containing, in mass %, Al: 5.5 to 6.8%, V: 3.5 to 5.8%, and Fe: over 0 to 0.30%, the balance being Ti and impurities, the impurities amounting to a total of 0.4% or less, the alloy including an acicular microstructure in which an average prior &#x3b2; grain size is 250 &#x3bc;m or less.

Titanium composite material and titanium material for hot working

A titanium-containing structure made of a titanium material includes: a package made of a commercially pure titanium material; and a filler packed into the package, wherein an internal pressure of the package is 10 Pa or less, the pressure being an absolute pressure, and wherein the filler includes at least one selected from titanium sponge, titanium briquette, and titanium scrap, and the filler has the same type of a chemical composition of the commercially pure titanium material. This titanium-containing structure enables production of a titanium product by performing hot working and eliminating the conventional melting step and forging step.

A titanium sheet has a chemical composition containing, in mass %, Cu: 0.1 to 1.0%, Ni: 0.01 to 0.20%, Fe: 0.01 to 0.10%, O: 0.01 to 0.10%, Cr: 0 to 0.20%, the balance: Ti and unavoidable impurities, and satisfying 0.04&#x2264;0.3Cu+Ni&#x2264;0.44%. The average grain size of &#x3b1; phase is 15 &#x3bc;m or larger, and an intermetallic compound of Cu and/or Ni, and Ti is at 2.0 volume % or less. This titanium sheet has excellent workability and high strength.
