A method of manufacturing a power transmission chain pin, which connects links arranged in a chain width direction of a power transmission chain, includes a rough sectional shape formation step of drawing a wire rod so that a section thereof is formed in a substantially oval shape and a rough end portion shape formation step of cutting a continuous bar-like member which has been subjected to the drawing work into a predetermined length so that an end surface thereof has a predetermined angle with respect to an axial direction. A final sectional shape and a final end portion shape of the power transmission chain pin are formed by a cold forging work to the bar-like member cut into the predetermined length, which is a final shape formation step.

Power transmission chain pin and manufacture method thereof

An assembling method for a torque transmission chain, including a step of manufacturing split pieces of the chain in such a manner that a predetermined number of pins are held by a linear pin holding jig and then a predetermined number of links are press-fitted to the pins; a step of linearly arranging the split pieces so as to overlap split piece coupling links each arranged at any one of both ends of each of the split pieces; a step of inserting the pin through the overlapped split piece coupling links; and a step of pulling both ends of a whole of the plurality of split pieces coupled to each other via the split piece coupling links to thereby fix the pin to a pin fixing portion of the split piece coupling links.

Assembling method for torque transmission chain

A power transmission chain includes a plurality of links respectively having front and rear insertion parts into which pins are inserted, a plurality of first pins and a plurality of second pins which are arranged in front and back for connecting the links. A plurality of the links includes two types of the links having different pitch lengths, wherein provided that a radius of a pulley shaft is RA, a radius of curvature of a face of the link having a shorter pitch length at an inner diameter side of the chain is RS, and a radius of curvature of a face of the link having a longer pitch length at an inner diameter side of the chain is RL, relation is set to be RA&#x2266;RS&#x2266;1.5RA, and RS&#x3c;RL.

Power transmission chain and power transmission device

A power transmission device includes a tubular stabilizer which is arranged between a primary pulley and a secondary pulley, and through which a string portion of a power transmitting chain is passed so as to be movable relative to the stabilizer whereby movement of the power transmitting chain is restricted. The stabilizer is supported by the power transmitting chain and is moved in the traveling direction of the power transmitting chain as the power transmitting chain moves in the traveling direction, and a movement of the stabilizer of which the amount is larger than or equal to a predetermined amount is restricted by a restricting device.

Power transmission device

Two kinds of pins having rolling contact surfaces of different shapes are used as first pins. A recess is formed at that portion of the first pin disposed between a chain outer periphery-side edge portion thereof and the rolling contact surface thereof. A straight portion is formed at that portion of the second pin disposed between a chain outer periphery-side edge portion thereof and the rolling contact surface thereof. With this construction, the two kinds of pins can be easily discriminated from each other from their appearance.

Power transmission chain and power transmission apparatus

A press-fitting apparatus includes a first retaining jig having a required number of pin insertion holes into which generally longitudinally half portions of pins and interpieces can be inserted, a second retaining jig having a required number of pin insertion holes into which one end portions of the pins and interpieces can be inserted, and pressing jigs each for pressing the link into a predetermined position relative to the pins and interpieces. In the press-fitting of the links, the press-fitting operation is divided into two steps, and in each of the two steps, the links are stacked from central portions of the pins and interpieces.

Method of producing power transmission chain and press-fitting apparatus used in said method

A one-way clutch spring intended to reduce drag torque of one-way clutches. Tongues extend within pockets in which engagement members are disposed are bent in advance radially inward when they are disposed in an annular space so as to have bends at a proximal end and to form an angle of inclination (&#x3b1;) of 20&#xb0;-30&#xb0; with a base. Further, the angle of inclination (&#x3b2;) with the base increases to exceed the angle of inclination (&#x3b1;) by an amount of 5&#xb0;-15&#xb0; when engagement members contact the tongues. Further, the height of the front end of the tongue relative to the base is greater than that of a top of the second bend to the base, and the three bends each have their center of curvature positioned on the side of an inner ring with the base used as a reference and their radius of curvature is 0.2 mm-0.6 mm.

One-way clutch spring

The present invention provides a one-way clutch in which spring force of tongue pieces of a spring will not be decreased, even in case where a larger tightening margin is provided between a cage and an outer race, but proper spring force can be maintained thereby to attain reliable synchronization between the outer race and the cage, and a rise of cost will not be incurred. The one-way clutch includes a cage, a spring arranged along an inner diameter side of the cage, and a sprag assembly. Each of sprag is inserted into pockets of the spring and cage, respectively. One end of the spring is overlapped with the other end at a position where the largest repulsive force is exerted from the cage. Thereby, rigidity of the spring is increased in a part of the spring corresponding to the position.

One-way clutch

A one-way clutch having a plurality of sprags () arranged at an annular space between a driving side member and a driven side member along a circumferential direction thereof, two cages () on an outer side and an inner side for retaining the sprags, and a spring member () in an annular shape, in which the outer side cage (), the inner side cage () and the spring member are respectively formed with pockets for sprags () of sufficiently large numbers and the sprags are contained at portions of the pockets. The pockets of a number the same as a number of pieces of using the sprags may be formed at any of the annular members of the outer side cage () and the like.

A one-way clutch includes a retainer (), a spring () guided by the retainer, and sprags () which are pivotally provided in respective pockets of the retainer and respective pockets of the spring. A rounded section () is formed on an outer diameter side of each of tongue-like flaps () of the spring. Guide sections () are formed at respective corners on one side of each pocket with respect to a circumferential direction thereof. The width (D) of a space between the guide sections is set so as to become greater than the width (T) of each of the tongue-like flaps formed in the spring, and the rounded section () is housed in the space between the guide sections.

A one-way clutch includes a retainer ( ), a spring ( ), and sprags ( ) which are provided in pockets of the retainer and those of the spring in a pivotable manner and forced by tongue-like flaps formed in the spring in a direction in which the sprags ( ) are to be locked. A peripheral maximum width (La) of an outer cam surface of the sprag ( ) and a peripheral maximum width (Lb) of an inner cam surface are greater than a circumferential width (Lp) of the pocket of the retainer ( ). Further, a width (Lc) of the sprag ( ) in the direction of inclination is made smaller than a circumferential width (Lp) of the pocket of the retainer ( ).

An assembly of a one-way clutch and a liquid thrust bearing is provided which can absorb an axial load due to a stator of a torque converter, thereby reducing the number of parts as compared to a conventional torque converter using a mechanical thrust bearing. In order to attain the object, the one-way clutch is mounted on a boss portion of a stator of a torque converter, a bearing support is disposed between outer and inner rings of the one-way clutch, a turbine-side member of the torque converter is disposed with a fixed inwardly facing surface facing an outwardly facing surface of the bearing support with a small open annular gap being between the facing surfaces and dynamic pressure grooves formed in one of the facing surfaces for providing a high pressure liquid layer between the facing surface which acts as a thrust bearing.

Assembly of a one-way clutch and a bearing

A one-way clutch comprises a first ring, a second ring spaced from the first ring to define an annular space therebetween, engaging members disposed in the annular space, at least one holding member for holding the engaging members, and a biasing member for biasing the engaging members in one direction. A pair of annular retaining members are disposed on opposite sides of the first and second rings to close the annular space between the first and second rings. Each annular retaining member has an inner surface provided with first and second stepped portions at first and second inner peripheral end surfaces thereof, respectively. The first stepped portion of each of the annular retaining members receives an end of the first ring, and the second stepped portion of each of the annular retaining members receives an end of the second ring. At least one of the annular retaining members has an annular recess at the inner surface thereof for receiving an end of the holding member.

A one-way clutch according to the present invention comprises an outer race fitted in a housing member, an inner race, a plurality of engaging members arranged between the outer race and the inner race, a cage for holding the engaging members, a spring for biasing each of the engaging member in one direction, annular members arranged on the opposite sides of the outer race so as to close a space between the inner and outer races, said inner race being formed of metal, one of said annular members being formed of synthetic resin, and an integral molding means for integrally forming the inner race and the annular member. According to a further embodiment, one annular member and the cage are integrally molded with synthetic resin.

An improvement is made on a one-way clutch having an inner ring, an outer ring having projections to be engaged with corresponding recesses of a housing, a plurality of engagement members disposed between the inner and outer rings, a cage for the engagement members, a spring member for forcing the engagement members in one direction, a pair of end bearings disposed in opposite lateral positions between the inner and outer rings, and a pair of end bearing retainer plates to be fitted on end faces of the outer ring. Grooves are respectively formed on opposite end portions of an outer peripheral surface of the projections of the outer ring at regular intervals in a circumferential direction. Each of the end bearing retainer plates is provided with fitting portions which are integrally formed around an outer periphery of the end bearing retainer plate at regular intervals and which are respectively engaged with the grooves of the outer ring. One of the end bearing retainer plates is also provided with spring portions which are integrally formed around the outer periphery and which axially project to rest against a part of the housing when placed in position in the housing.
