In an information recording apparatus, light containing information to be recorded is generated, and a photo-to-electric converting device serves to convert the light into a charge latent image. The photo-to-electric converting device includes a photoconductive member exposed to the light. Information corresponding to the charge latent image is recorded on a recording medium. A first recording device serves to record main information on a first region of the recording medium. A second recording device separate from the first recording device serves to record sub information on a second region of the recording medium. The second region is different from the first region.

An image formation apparatus using a recording medium including a scattering-mode light-modulation member which takes an opaque state in response to a heat and takes a transparent state in response to an electric field. The apparatus comprises an electrode device disposed in opposed relation to the recording medium and a charge removal device facing or in contact with the recording medium. The electrode device applies an electric field to the recording medium thereby completely erasing an image previously recorded in the recording medium and the charge removal device removes charge left in the recording medium due to application of the electric field by the electrode device. An LED (light emitting diode) array of the present invention has a plurality of light emitting diodes aligned in row on a substrate crystal. Each of the light emitting diodes has a double hetero-structure formed by causing a light emitting layer to be interposed between p-type and n-type semi-conductive layers and is isolated with isolating mesa grooves. A reflecting layer is provided between the substrate crystal and one of the p-type and n-type semi-conductive layers. The reflecting layer comprises a plurality of semi-conductive layers having at least different refractive indexes of 2 or more than 2-kinds, each of the semi-conductive layers made of semiconductor having the same polarity as that of the substrate crystal and having a wider forbidden band width than that of the light emitting layer. Further, the isolating mesa grooves are provided by a wet etching using an etching liquid of H.sub.3 PO.sub.4 .multidot.H.sub.2 O.sub.2 having volume ratio of H.sub.3 PO.sub.4 : H.sub.2 O.sub.2 =1.about.5:1, thus, the LED array having a high integration and a high light emitting output can be successfully produced.

The timing with which the optical shutter is opened and the timing with which the electric field is generated by the power supply, are controlled by a control unit depending on imaging conditions selected by the user. The color imaging system also has an optical viewfinder for allowing the user to visually observe the optical image of the subject introduced by the lens.
