An automatic accompaniment generating apparatus capable of generating automatic accompaniment as intended by a user. In an arpeggio sounding data generation mode, when key depression tones are input by a user's key depression operation after arpeggio pattern data is selected and a loop count is set to a value of '1' by the user, the sounding of the key depression tones is started, and the generation of a sounding data list is started based on the tone pitches of the key depression tones and sounding pattern data included in the selected arpeggio pattern data. In the case of the loop count being set to '1', the reproduction of the sounding data list is completed at the end of one bar, and thereafter only the key depression tones are sounded until a key release operation is performed by the user.

Automatic accompaniment generating apparatus and method

An arpeggio playing apparatus comprises a musical tone signal generating device including a plurality of arpeggio playing parts, or an automatic music playing device and at least one arpeggio playing part. The arpeggio playing part is capable of playing an automatic arpeggio with an arpeggio pattern at a progression tempo. Under the condition that one of the arpeggio playing parts or the automatic music playing device has started playing an automatic arpeggio or an automatic music performance at the progression tempo which defines a synchronization timing consisting of periodically aligned synchronization grids, when a start instruction for a new arpeggio playing part is received, the new arpeggio playing part starts the operation in synchronism with the defined synchronization timing. If the start instruction comes at a time point within a delay margin, the arpeggio playing is started immediately and the first span of the arpeggio pattern is played in a shortened time length between the start instruction and the first coming synchronization grid. If the start instruction comes at a time point outside the delay margin, the start of the arpeggio playing is suspended until the first coming synchronization grid.

Apparatus and computer program for playing arpeggio

An arpeggio playing apparatus comprises an arpeggio pattern storing device, an arpeggio pattern readout device and an arpeggio tone processing device. The arpeggio pattern storing device stores at least one arpeggio pattern pair including a regular version pattern and an accentuated version pattern for automatic arpeggio performances. When there comes a key-on event representing an arpeggio designation and a key-on velocity, the arpeggio pattern readout device reads out, from the arpeggio pattern storing device, the regular version pattern when the detected velocity is less than a predetermined threshold value, and the accentuated version pattern when the detected velocity is not less than the predetermined threshold value. The arpeggio tone processing device automatically plays arpeggio based on the arpeggio designation by the key-on event and according to the arpeggio patterns of the read-out versions.

Apparatus and computer program for playing arpeggio with regular pattern and accentuated pattern

Various arpeggio patterns are provided for an automatic arpeggio performance in an electronic musical apparatus, in which arpeggio notes are sounded in various timbres and appropriate arpeggio types are selected for the respective timbres. For each of a plurality of timbres, plural available arpeggio types are prepared which are appropriate for the timbre, and are assigned to plural arpeggio type selecting buttons, respectively. According to the manipulation of an arpeggio type selecting button, the assigned type is selected and the arpeggio pattern data of the selected arpeggio type are outputted for the successive sounding of the notes as an arpeggio. The assignment of the arpeggio types to the selecting buttons are alterable by the user.

Apparatus and computer program for providing arpeggio patterns

In a music arrangement apparatus, a music data block provides a time-series of music data which contains at least a pitch component and which can be sequentially processed to produce a music performance. An arrangement data block provides a time-series of arrangement data in correspondence to the time-series of the music data. A modifying block modifies at least the pitch component of the music data according to the arrangement data so as to arrange at least a melody of the music performance. Further, a selecting block selects one or more of segments of the arrangement data, and a setting block sets the selected segment of the arrangement data.

An automatic performance apparatus that is responsive to a manual player of an input implement for producing either an arpeggio performance or a pattern performance in a modified form. Specifically, the present invention includes: a sequencer block that is responsive to manual play for generating a sequence of original note data representing either the arpeggio performance or the pattern performance; an input block to set control parameters; a play effector block to process the original note data according to the control parameters; a transposer block that shifts the altered note data by a predetermined interval to thereby generate shifted note data; a note effector block that generates additional note data in superposed relation to the shifted note data; a tone generator block that is receptive of the shifted note data and the additional note data for generating corresponding musical tones to thereby provide the modified form of either of the arpeggio performance and the pattern performance.

An information input apparatus comprises a casing which is held by an operator by opposite end portions thereof. At least one selection operating element is arranged on the front surface of the casing at a location close to one end thereof for selecting a kind of data to be input. At least one value-input operating element is arranged in the front surface of the casing at a location close to another end thereof, for inputting a value of the kind of data selected by the selection operating element. The value of the selected kind of data input is stored. The selection operating element is inclined relative to an edge of the one end of the casing, and the value-input operating element is inclined relative to an edge of the another end of the casing. The apparatus is compact and provides efficient inputting of information such as performance data for an electronic musical instrument.

It is determined which one of a plurality of predetermined attributes each component note of accompaniment pattern data belongs to, and there is generated information to control at least one tonal factor of the component note in accordance with the determined attribute. Thus, the accompaniment pattern data is controlled or modified for each of the component notes with the determined attributes. Also, for any of the component notes, of the accompaniment pattern data, corresponding to at least one given place in a relative tone pitch order, control information is set which controls at least one tonal factor such as tone pitch. Thus, the component note corresponding to the given place in the relative tone pitch order is controlled in accordance with the control information.

An automatic performance device has a phrase performance information memory storing pieces of phrase performance information having predetermined phrase lengths, which each have phrase-discriminating information imparted thereto. A performance pattern memory stores pieces of performance pattern information for determining a sequence of performance of the pieces of phrase performance information. A CPU prepares pieces of performance pattern information by storing the pieces of phrase-discriminating information into the performance pattern memory in a sequence of performance of the pieces of phrase performance information, according to operation by an operator, and imparts to the prepared pieces of performance pattern information as many pieces of pattern-discriminating information. Pieces of performance pattern information are designated by means of the pattern-discriminating information. Then, the CPU reads out pieces of phrase-discriminating information for phrases of the designated pieces of performance pattern information in the performance sequence from the performance pattern memory, and reads out pieces of phrase performance information corresponding to the read-out pieces of phrase-discriminating information, to give automatic performance based on the read-out pieces of phrase performance information. A chord of any of the pieces of phrase performance information to be set in performance thereof can be designated, and the CPU changes a note of the read-out phrase performance information according to the designated chord.

Automatic performance device

An automatic accompaniment apparatus employs a chord designating section, a pattern memory, special operation designating section, a pattern read out section, a note conversion section and a tone generator. The chord designating section designates a root and a type of a chord. The pattern memory stores a performance pattern containing note data which designate tone pitches of musical tones. The pattern read out section sequentially reading out the note data from the pattern memory durring the automatic accompaniment. The note conversion section carrying out a note correction operation corresponding to the type designated by the chord designating section on the note data read out by the pattern read out section when the special operation is not designated. In contrast, the note conversion section outputs the note data read out from the pattern memory when the special operation is designated by the special operation designating section. The tone generator generates musical tone signals based on the note data outputted by the note conversion section.

The valve is deformed according to a breath pressure at the entrance portion to change an opening area of the entrance. Whereby the electronic wind instrument can simulate blowing feeling of a natural wind instrument.
