In a lens for safety glasses of the present invention, a first lens element which shields a laser beam is laid on a second lens element for antiglare. The first and the second lens element may be affixed together. In the lens for safety glasses, the first lens element includes a substrate which contains an absorbent for selectively absorbing a laser beam having a specific wavelength in an ultraviolet wavelength region, a visible light wavelength region or an infrared wavelength legion and is transparent in the visible light wavelength region. The safety glasses with the lens may provide comfortable fit and a good appearance, causes less misjudgment of colors and prevents loss of correct color sense, and has both a laser-beam shielding function and an antiglare function.

A sports goggle includes a goggle main body () on which information processing means () is mounted. Information transmission means of transmission/reception of information on sports to/from outside can be mounted on the goggle main body (). The present invention can, therefore, provide the abnormality detection support device which enables an operator to work with both hands available while directly watching the infrared image even under a circumstance that smoke or the like due to occurrence of fire disturbs the field of vision of the operator, and has excellent usability.

The inner composing layer is welded together to an inside face of the outer composing layer. The goggle frame is welded together to a peripheral side face of the outer composing layer. In this way, the goggle frame and the associated goggle lens are unified together. The swimming goggles are free from water penetration between the goggle frames and the goggle lenses, and allow a high productivity and a low incidence of defected products.

The lens for eyeglasses and the molded synthetic resin for light transmitting filter are made of a synthetic resin base material comprising an organic dye with an absorption maximum in the vicinity of the central wavelength on the standard relative visibility curve, as well as an ultraviolet light absorbing agent and a blue light absorbing agent, the base material having a transmittance minimum in the range of wavelength extending from 550 to 585 nm on the transmittance curve, the transmittance of light at the transmittance minimum being not greater than 25%, the average transmittance of light over the range of wavelength extending from 590 to 660 nm being not less than 15%, and the average transmittance over the range of wavelength extending from 470 to 550 nm being not less than 10%.
