List mode image reconstruction method and nuclear medicine diagnostic apparatus

In a mass spectrometer employing laser ionization to ionize a sample, a known sample is irradiated with laser light multiple times, and multiple sets of profile data are acquired each of which is a spectrum showing the relationship between the m/z values and intensities of ions generated from the known sample by one laser irradiation (Step S). Those sets of profile data are sorted into groups so that one or more sets of profile data are included in each group (Step S). For each group, a peak list is created which describes the m/z value and intensity of each peak originating from the known sample based on the one or more sets of profile data included in the group (Step S). A discriminant model for discriminating an unknown sample is created using the peak lists of the plurality of groups and information concerning the kind of the known sample as training data.

Method, system and program for processing mass spectrometry data

A sample group forming sectionclassifies samples derived from microorganisms into groups according to empirical information showing the species or strain of each sample. A differential analysis sectionperforms a differential analysis using a peak matrix created based on the result of the grouping. An operator enters group rearrangement conditions concerning the drug resistance of microorganisms. Under the entered conditions, a sample group rearranging/rearrangement-cancelling sectionrearranges the already formed groups by selecting or merging groups using another kind of previously registered empirical information which shows the drug resistance of each group. The differential analysis sectionperforms a differential analysis using a peak matrix newly created based on the result of the rearrangement of the groups. Provided is a method for quantitatively estimating the probability of substance identification based on the result of an MSanalysis using a certain MSpeak as the precursor ion, before performing the MSanalysis. Based on the result of MSand MSanalyses and substance identification performed for each of a number of fractionated samples obtained from a known preparatory sample, an identification probability estimation model creator grasps m/z and S/N ratios of MSpeaks having high probabilities of successful identification, calculates a parameter which determines the order of MSpeaks and a parameter representing an identification probability estimation model, and stores the parameters in a memory. When identifying a substance, an approximate order is calculated for an MSpeak obtained by the analysis. The identification probability for that peak is estimated from the approximate order with reference to the identification probability estimation model.

When calculating a system matrix (detection probability), adjustment is made by fitting a point spread function (PSF) expressed by a Gauss function to a profile of count values of radiation with respect to a distance from a point source which emits radiation of the same type as the positron-emitting drug, and a distance range of the above PSF is adjusted for each layer in a depth direction of gamma-ray detectors indicating an incident direction in which the radiation strikes. By calculating the system matrix (detection probability) after adjusting the distance range of the function for each layer, improvement can be made in image quality of a reconstructed image.

In a positron CT device of this invention, a cross range calculation section determines a cross range of a coincidence LOR as a virtual line that connects two detectors for performing coincidence and a pixel, and a system matrix calculating section determines a system matrix by calculating elements in the system matrix within the cross range upon calculating of the system matrix. Thereafter, a reconstruction section creates a distribution image of positrons as an image based on the system matrix. Consequently, improvement in speed of image reconstruction may be realized.

A radiation detecting apparatus of this invention includes an arithmetic processing device which carries out arithmetic processes for drawing boundaries based on peaks of signal strengths and separating respective positions by the boundaries, and for determining, by using spatial periodicity of the peaks, the number of peaks having failed to be separated, with a plurality of peaks connecting to each other. If the separation fails with a plurality of peaks connecting to each other, the number of peaks in error is determined using spatial periodicity of the peaks. Thus, by using spatial periodicity of the peaks, the number of peaks in error can be determined and boundaries can be set easily. As a result, incident positions can also be discriminated easily, and detecting positions of radiation can be determined easily.

Two-dimensional position map correcting method, and radiation detecting apparatus

A radiation detecting apparatus of this invention includes an arithmetic processing device which has a first adding step for adding signal strengths in one portion of a two-dimensional position map, draws respective boundaries based on results of addition in the first adding step, and corrects the two-dimensional position map based on signal strengths enclosed by these boundaries. The signal strengths of one portion of the two-dimensional position map, and not all the areas of the two-dimensional position map, are added. As a result, incident positions can be discriminated efficiently, and radiation detecting positions can be determined efficiently.
