A microscope system includes a microscope apparatus and a computing device. The microscope apparatus obtains image data of a surface to be observed of a sample in each of the plurality of states having different setting values of a correction collar. The computing device calculates an evaluation value of image data on the basis of each of the plural pieces of image data. A process in which the microscope apparatus obtains the plural pieces of image data is repeated in such a way that a distribution range and an average interval of the setting values are narrowed in each repetition, and that the setting value that corresponds to a maximum evaluation value is included within the distribution range. The computing device calculates the setting value for correcting a spherical aberration on the basis of the evaluation values and the setting values that correspond to the evaluation values.

A microscope system includes: an objective; a correction apparatus which corrects a spherical aberration; a controller which obtains a plurality of combinations of a relative position of the objective to a sample and an optimum value, which is a set value of the correction apparatus in a state in which a spherical aberration caused in accordance with the relative position has been corrected, calculates a function expressing the relationship between the relative position and the optimum value on the basis of the obtained plurality of combinations by interpolation, and calculates the optimum value according to an observation target surface of the sample, on the basis of the function and the relative position which is determined from the observation target surface; and a correction apparatus driving apparatus which drives the correction apparatus in accordance with the optimum value, which is calculated by the controller.

A microscope system includes: a main body portion having an optical system for forming an image from at least observation light from a specimen; an objective lens unit having an objective lens for taking in the observation light and having a base portion with an approximately belt shape for holding the objective lens on one end; and a unit attachment portion that is held by the main body portion and is configured to detachably attach the base portion at a position where at least an optical axis of the objective lens coincides with an optical path of the observation light.

An ultrasonic motor includes a vibrator, a mobile unit, a holding mechanism, and a pressing mechanism. The vibrator generates elliptical vibration by degenerating different vibration modes and having a phase difference between the different vibration modes. The mobile unit is configured to be movable relative to the vibrator. The holding mechanism holds and fixes the vibrator in a direction substantially parallel to the direction of the relative movement of the mobile unit. The pressing mechanism presses the vibrator against the mobile unit. The holding mechanism includes an adjustment unit for adjusting the resonant frequencies of the different vibration modes of the vibrator to substantially match each other when the ultrasonic motor is driven.

Ultrasonic motor

An ultrasonic motorized stage includes a base part, first and second tables, first and second linear ultrasonic motors which respectively drive the first and the second tables, and first and second optical linear sensors which respectively detect the amount of move of the first and the second tables. The first and the second linear ultrasonic motors and the first and the second optical linear sensors are arranged in positions, which are at sides other than the front side of the ultrasonic motorized stage and prevent wear debris generated when the first and/or the second linear ultrasonic motor is driven from affecting the first and the second optical linear sensors, so that the first and the second linear ultrasonic motors and the first and the second optical linear sensors do not protrude upward from the upper surface of the second table.

A motorized table apparatus comprises: a support unit for supporting a movement table so as to allow it to move in a single axis direction relative to a stationary unit which is fixed to the movement table; a slide member which is equipped on the movement table and which has a length equivalent to, or more than, a moving range of the movement table; an ultrasonic oscillators which is equipped on the stationary unit, which moves the movement table, and which comprises a single piezoelectric body and two drive elements; and a pressure application unit for supporting so that the two drive elements of the ultrasonic oscillator and the slide member are pressed by a constant force, wherein a plurality of the ultrasonic oscillators are equipped.

An ultrasonic motor includes a vibrator formed by stacking a plurality of rectangular piezoelectric plates in a thickness direction, a driving circuit for applying a driving signal to a piezoelectric plate, and a detection circuit for detecting an electromotive force generated when the piezoelectric plate deforms, and this ultrasonic motor is configured in such a manner that there are a first piezoelectric plate and a second piezoelectric plate among the plurality of rectangular piezoelectric plates, the first and the second piezoelectric plate each is a piezoelectric plate in which a longitudinal vibration polarization portion that can excite longitudinal vibrations and a bending vibration polarization portion that can excite bending vibrations are polarized in a thickness direction, and the first piezoelectric plate is connected to the driving circuit and the detection circuit, and the second piezoelectric plate is connected to the driving circuit and is not connected to the detection circuit.
