A seal edge grinding method for a glass funnel, wherein a glass funnel seal edge and a grinding wheel are pressed against each other, and the seal edge is ground with the grinding wheel, comprising: moving a glass funnel and a grinding wheel by a certain quantity in an relatively approaching direction by a mobile unit under numerical control to grind a seal edge of the glass funnel with the grinding wheel by the use of feed controlled grinding; and relatively pressing the seal edge and the grinding wheel at a certain pressure by a pressing force of a pressing unit to grind the seal edge with the grinding wheel by the use of pressure controlled grinding after completion of the feed controlled grinding.

Method for grinding glass funnel seal edge and apparatus therefor

A plunger supporting mechanism includes a bottom mold into which a gob is loaded; a plunger which is arranged above the bottom mold, and which is lowered to pressure the gob in the bottom mold to press the gob into a glass product, the plunger having an upper portion provided with a flange; a floating unit which supports the flange in a floating manner to support the plunger so as to be movable in a horizontal direction; and a press machine for raising and lowering the plunger through the floating unit; wherein the floating unit is supported so as to be tiltable with respect to the press machine, or the plunger is supported so as to be tiltable with respect to the flange.

A forming method of a glass product includes the steps of successively setting female press-molds on a gob feeding stage; feeding gob to the female press-molds at the gob feeding stage at predetermined intervals; successively transferring the female press-molds fed with the gob to a press-forming stage; press-forming the gob into a glass product at the press-forming stage; and removing the press-formed glass product at a product removing stage. A plurality of the press-forming stages are provided surrounding the gob feeding stage, and wherein a plurality of closed loop molding lines are provided each of which independently performs a series of steps including the steps of press-forming the gob and removing the press-formed glass product, along with the step of successively transferring the female press-molds fed with the gob in the step of feeding the gob to the press-forming stage in each of the closed loop molding lines, and the step of successively returning the female press-molds after finishing the step of removing the press-formed glass product to the gob feeding stage from each of the closed loop molding lines.

Method and device for forming a glass product

A transfer system includes an air table, and a linear motor cooperating with the air table to float and move a pallet. The transfer system is designed to allow for a small radius of curvature for each turning section of the air table. Ball valves of the air table are openable upon contact with a pallet to apply air under pressure to a pallet. A linear motor is adapted to move the floating pallet, and guides are provided to guide the moving floating pallet. The pallet includes a pallet body made of a light material, and an external load part made of metal. The external load part has a lower surface projecting slightly from the lower surface of the pallet body. Guides are mounted to the outer periphery of the pallet body. A linear motor secondary conductor is mounted to the lower surface of the pallet body.

An apparatus for forming a glass product which comprises: a single glass gob feeding device for feeding a glass gob to a mold for forming a formed body; a press forming device for press forming the glass gob into the formed body of a predetermined shape; a formed body removing device; a plurality of carrier means on which the mold is loaded; and a transfer means for transferring and circulating the carrier means on which the mold is loaded in an order of the glass gob feeding device, the press forming device, the formed body removing device, and back to the glass gob feeding device; wherein, assuming a path is defined as a path for transferring and circulating the carrier means by the transfer means, a single path or a plurality of paths is or are provided for the single glass gob feeding device.

Apparatus for forming a glass product and a method for forming a glass

A butterfly valve for controlling high-temperature fluid including a ceramic valve is disclosed. The butterfly valve exhibits excellent high-temperature sealing and heat insulating characteristics and strength sufficient to rigid support the valve disc therein. The valve comprises a valve stem and a valve disc integrally formed of ceramics and is housed in a casing through a valve guide opening and the valve guide opening is closed with a plug through which the valve stem is inserted.

A blanket feeder type glass batch feeding apparatus for preventing the leakage of the atmosphere in a glass melting furnace is provided. The glass batch feeding apparatus comprises a sealing case for surrounding a reciprocally movable batch feeding trough and extending to a batch feeding opening of the glass melting furnace, a shelter plate disposed at the outlet of the sealing case and a damper plate disposed in the sealing case wherein the shelter plate and the damper plate are respectively contacted with a glass batch layer fed into the apparatus.
