A martensitic stainless steel contains 0.20 mass %&#x2264;C&#x2264;0.60 mass %, 0.10 mass %&#x2264;N&#x2264;0.50 mass %, 14.00 mass %&#x2264;Cr&#x2264;17.00 mass %, 1.00 mass %&#x2264;Mo&#x2264;3.00 mass %, 0.20 mass %&#x2264;V&#x2264;0.40 mass %, Si&#x2264;0.30 mass %, Mn&#x2264;0.80 mass %, P&#x2264;0.040 mass %, S&#x2264;0.040 mass %, Cu&#x2264;0.25 mass %, Ni&#x2264;0.20 mass %, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.

Martensitic stainless steel

The present invention provides an age hardening type bainitic microalloyed steel having a composition which includes, in terms of mass %: 0.06-0.35% of C; 0.01-2.00% of Si; 0.10-3.00% of Mn; 0.001-0.200% of S; 0.001-2.00% of Cu; 0.40-3.00% of Ni; 0.10-3.00% of Cr; 0.10-1.00% of Mo; 0.10-1.00% of V; and 0.001-0.100% of s-Al, with the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities, and which satisfies a value of the following expression (1) to be 20 or larger and a value of the following expression (2) to be 0.82 or larger:3&#xd7;[C]+10&#xd7;[Mn]+2&#xd7;[Cu]+2&#xd7;[Ni]+12&#xd7;[Cr]+9&#xd7;[Mo]+2&#xd7;[V]&#x2003;&#x2003;expression (1);1.66&#xd7;[C]+0.18&#xd7;[Si]+0.27&#xd7;[Mn]+0.09&#xd7;[Ni]+0.32&#xd7;[Cr]+0.34&#xd7;[Mo]+0.44&#xd7;[V]&#x2003;&#x2003;expression (2),in which each [ ] in the expression (1) and the expression (2) indicates a content of the element shown therein in terms of mass %.

Age hardening non-heat treated bainitic steel

An age-hardenable steel having a composition consisting of: C: 0.05 to 0.20%, Si: 0.01 to 0.50%, Mn: 1.5 to 2.5%, S: 0.005 to 0.08%, Cr: more than 0.50% and not more than 1.6%, Al: 0.005 to 0.05%, V: 0.25 to 0.50%, Mo: 0 to 1.0%, Cu: 0 to 0.3%, Ni: 0 to 0.3%, Ca: 0 to 0.005%, and Bi: 0 to 0.4%, the balance being Fe and impurities. Within the impurities, P&#x2264;0.03%, Ti&#x3c;0.005%, and N&#x3c;0.0080%, and [C+0.3Mn+0.25Cr+0.6Mo&#x2265;0.68], [C+0.1Si+0.2Mn+0.15Cr+0.35V+0.2Mo&#x2264;1.05], and [&#x2212;4.5C+Mn+Cr&#x2212;3.5V&#x2212;0.8Mo&#x2265;0.12]. The steel has hardness before aging of not more than 310 HV. After aging, the fatigue strength is not less than 480 MPa and absorbed energy at 20&#xb0; C. is not less than 12 J.

Age-hardenable steel

Rolled steel bar for hot forging consisting, by mass percent, of C: 0.25-0.50%, Si: 0.40-1.0%, Mn: 1.0-1.6%, S: 0.005-0.035%, Al: 0.005-0.050%, V: 0.10-0.30%, N: 0.005-0.030% with the balance being Fe and impurities, i.e., P: 0.035% or less and O: 0.0030% or less, wherein Fn1=C+Si/10+Mn/5+5Cr/22+1.65V&#x2212;5S/7 is 0.90 to 1.20. The predicted maximum width of nonmetallic inclusions at the time when a cumulative distribution function obtained by extreme value statistical processing by taking the width of nonmetallic inclusion in an R/2 part of a longitudinal cross section of the steel bar as W (mm) is 99.99% is 100 &#x3bc;m or narrower. The number density of sulfides each having a circle-equivalent diameter of 0.3 to 1.0 &#x3bc;m observed per unit area of the R/2 part of a transverse cross section of the steel bar is 500 pieces/mmor higher.

Rolled steel bar for hot forging, hot-forged section material, and common rail and method for producing the same

A rolled steel bar for hot forging consisting, by mass percent, of C: 0.25-0.50%, Si: 0.40-1.0%, Mn: 1.0-1.6%, S: 0.005-0.035%, Al: 0.005-0.050%, V: 0.10-0.30%, and N: 0.005-0.030%, and the balance of Fe and impurities, i.e., P: 0.035% or less and O: 0.0030% or less, wherein Fn1=C+Si/10+Mn/5+5Cr/22+1.65V&#x2212;5S/7 is 0.90 to 1.20. Hot-forged section material and common rail

An inexpensive mechanical fuse having a high fatigue limit ratio and high rupture reliability, and superior in forming performance, and a method of manufacturing the same are presented. The mechanical fuse is composed of Fe-based sintered alloy, and comprises an inner rimfixed to one power transmission shaft, an outer rimfixed to the other power transmission shaft, and plural armsfor linking the inner rimand outer rim, which are formed integrally. The armsinclude rupture portionswhich are ruptured when exposed to an overload torque. By treating in steam, an iron oxide phase is formed in the surface layer and pore inner wall. The iron oxide phase is effective to form round pores and lower the notch sensitivity. As a result, the fatigue strength and fatigue limit ratio are enhanced.

Mechanical fuse and method of manufacturing the same

A mechanical fuse has further improved and stabilized fatigue limit ratio, and can obtain high reliability under a using condition in which cyclic loading is applied. The mechanical fuse includes a Fe-based sintered alloy that has at least one element of P at 0.15 to 1.5 mass %, Si at 0.4 to 2.0 mass %, and Mn at 1.0 to 4.0 mass %, and the remainder consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities. An iron oxide layer is formed on a pore inner wall and the pores have roundness of 0.004 or more. A method of production therefore is also provided.

Mechanical fuse and production method for the same

A method of stress inducing transformation from the austenite phase to the martensite phase by conducting cold working on material of austenite stainless steel in the temperature range from the point Ms to the point Md. The above cold working is a biaxial tensing. An intermediately formed hollow body is made, which includes a ferromagnetic portion and a non-magnetic portion contracting inward. Then, the intermediately formed body is subjected to a stress removing process in which residual tensile stress is removed from an intermediately formed body. In the stress removing process, it is preferable that a punch is press-fitted into the intermediately formed body so as to expand a non-magnetic portion and then the intermediately formed body is drawn with ironing while the punch is inserted so that the residual tensile stress can be changed into the residual compressive stress in the non-magnetic portion.

Method of stress inducing transformation of austenite stainless steel and method of producing composite magnetic members

This is a composite magnetic member excellent in corrosion resistance having a chemical composition consisting essentially, by weight, of 0.30 to 0.80% C, more than 16.0% but not more than 25.0% Cr, 0.1 to 4.0% Ni, 0.1 to 0.06% N, at least one kind not more than 2.0% in total selected from the group consisting of Si, Mn and Al, and the balance Fe and impurities, and having a ferromagnetic portion and a non-magnetic portion.

Method of stress inducing transformation of austenite stainless steel

A fuel injection valve has a single pipe member made of composite magnetic material which can be processed to form ferro-magnetic structures and non-magnetic structures. A magnetic fuel connector, a magnetic valve body, a nonmagnetic intermediate pipe are formed in the single pipe member. An electromagnetic solenoid is disposed around the intermediate pipe, and a needle valve is disposed in the valve body. A magnetic stationary core is disposed inside the fuel connector, and a magnetic movable core is disposed inside the valve body in a magnetic circuit composed of the solenoid, the fuel connector, the stationary core and the valve body.
