A rotary inertia mass damper of a damper device is configured to include a planetary gear that includes a driven member with outer teeth, first and second input plate member as a carrier which rotatably supports a plurality of pinion gears, and a ring gear that meshes with the plurality of pinion gears and works as the mass body. The outer teeth of the driven member are arranged to be disposed outside first and second springs in a radial direction of the damper device. The driven member, the plurality of pinion gears and the ring gear are arranged to at least partially overlap with the first and second springs as viewed in the radial direction. A motion of the ring gear in the axial direction is restricted by the plurality of pinion gears.

Damper device

A damper device of a starting device includes a drive member, a driven member, outer springs that transmit torque between the drive member and the driven member, first and second inner springs that are placed inward of the outer springs and that transmit torque between the drive member and the driven member, and a dynamic damper having third springs coupled to a first intermediate member as a rotary element and a turbine runner as a mass body coupled to the third springs. The third springs of the dynamic damper are disposed so as to be located next to the outer springs of the damper device in the circumferential direction.

The first mass body of the first dynamic damper or the second mass body of the second dynamic damper includes at least the turbine runner.

Starting device

A damper device includes first inner springs configured to transmit a torque between a drive member and an intermediate member, second inner springs configured to transmit a torque between the intermediate member and a driven member, and a rotary inertia mass damper including a sun gear serving as a mass body rotating with relative rotation of the drive member to the driven member. The rotary inertia mass damper is provided in parallel to a torque transmission path including the intermediate member, the first inner springs and the second inner springs. A damping ratio &#x3b6; of the intermediate member determined based on a moment of inertia Jof the intermediate member and rigidities kand kof the first and the second inner springs and is less than a value.

A centrifugal pendulum vibration absorbing device includes a flange that is coupled to a driven member that is a rotary element that rotates using power from an engine and a mass body that is coupled to the flange so as to oscillate about a pendulum fulcrum PF and is designed so as to have an effective order qthat is greater by a correction amount &#x394;q that is at least associated with the non-linearity of an order q of vibration of the flange and the mass body that is dependent on an oscillation angle &#x3d5; of the mass body than an order qof vibration that is generated in the engine to be damped.

Centrifugal pendulum-type vibration absorbing device and order setting method for the same

A cushioning member between plate bodies of a mass body and at end portions, in the circumferential direction, so as not to rotate relative to the plate bodies. The peripheral edges, on both sides in the width direction, of the outer peripheral surfaces of the cushioning member's first and second side portions abutting against a support member, along with swing of the mass body, are chamfered, reducing the possibility that the cushioning member enters in a clearance between the side surfaces of the support member and the plate bodies when the cushioning members' first side portion and the support member abut, or when the cushioning member's second side portion and the support member abut, along with swing of the mass body, suppressing damage to the cushioning member.

Centrifugal-pendulum vibration absorbing device

A damper device including an input to which power from an internal combustion engine is transmitted and an output, the damper device including: a first torque transmission path including a first elastic body that transmits torque between the input and the output; and a second torque transmission path disposed in parallel with the first torque transmission path and including an intermediate element, a second elastic body that transmits the torque between the input and the intermediate element, and a third elastic body that transmits the torque between the intermediate element and the output, wherein the second and third elastic bodies are placed outside the first elastic body in a radial direction of the damper device so as to be arranged side by side in a circumferential direction of the damper device.

A damper device includes a dynamic damper that has third springs coupled to an intermediate member and that also has, as a mass body coupled to the third springs, a turbine runner and a coupling member etc. The third springs of the dynamic damper are disposed so as to overlap both in the axial and radial directions of the damper device second springs that have higher rigidity than first springs and that are disposed inward of the first springs to transfer torque between a drive member and a driven member.

A starting device where the lock-up clutch is a single-plate clutch including a piston having a friction material that is in frictional engagement with the input member; and the piston and the input element of the damper mechanism are coupled to each other on a radially inner side of the plurality of pendulum mass bodies so as to rotate together.

A coil spring is formed by winding a wire in a coil shape. In the cross sectional shape of the wire formed in the coil shape, the inner diameter side part in the coil shape includes a semi-elliptical shape having a major radius and a minor radius and the outer diameter side part in the coil shape includes a curved shape circumscribing a circumscribed circle having a radius larger than the minor radius, arc shapes having a curvature larger than the curvature of the circumscribed circle, and linear shapes connecting both ends of the arc shapes to both ends of the semi-elliptical shape. This can increase the cross sectional shape of the wire, reduce a shearing stress, and improve the durability of the coil spring.

Coil spring

A centrifugal-pendulum vibration absorbing device disposed within a liquid chamber that stores a liquid, the centrifugal-pendulum vibration absorbing device having a support member coupled to a rotary element that is rotated by power from a drive device; and a mass body supported by the support member so as to be swingable. An order of vibration of the mass body is determined on the basis of an order of vibration to be damped generated by the drive device in consideration of at least a force caused by a centrifugal liquid pressure generated within the liquid chamber along with rotation of the drive device to act on the mass body.
