An optical device includes a substrate having an electrooptical effect, and including an optical waveguide that guides light and a reflection groove having a bottom face that reflects light output from the optical waveguide; and a light-receiving element positioned above the reflection groove and fixed to the substrate. The light output from the optical waveguide into the reflection groove is reflected by the bottom face of the reflection groove while traveling through a space inside the reflection groove and is incident to the light-receiving element.

Optical device and fabrication method of optical device

An optical device guides propagating light to exit from a desired side surface of a substrate while maintaining sufficient power within a limited size of the substrate and which facilitates adjustment of a mount position of a light-receiving element by increasing allowable tolerance of the mount position of the light-receiving element. The optical device has a substrate, a light propagating direction path formed in the substrate, and a reflection groove formed in an output-side of said light propagating direction path in the substrate. A side wall of the reflection groove is formed to become a convex reflection surface in relation to light which enters from the light propagating direction path, and the light output from the light propagating direction path undergoes total reflection on a side wall forming the reflection surface and lets the reflected light exit from a predetermined side surface of the substrate while enlarging an image.

Electronic communication device shelf units for packing therein printed circuit boards wherein the shelf units are to be put one upon another in a cabinet, wherein each said shelf unit comprises hollow side plates provided with air inlet openings on their outer faces, and a top plate which is connected to the side plates and having a V-shaped heat diffusion plate defining thereon an air introduction space; the side plates are provided, on their inner faces, with openings communicating with the air introduction space, such that hot air diffusion for each shelf unit is independent of the other shelf units.

This application discloses a frame unit for communication and other electronic devices including a pair of parallel side plates interconnected by upper and lower guide rails extending between and perpendicular to the side plates, and a plurality of guide members which are secured to the guide rails and which are adapted to guide therealong printed boards on which circuit elements of an electronic device are provided. The application also discloses a frame device composed of a number of such frame units.

Frame unit for electronic communication devices

A mounting apparatus for communication signals exchange equipment is described. The apparatus includes supporting poles, each of which is erected close to each of the components of the communication signals exchange equipment, and further includes frameworks which are assembled horizontally above said supporting poles and rigidly fixed to the top ends of said supporting poles. The supporting poles and frameworks are provided both for mechanically supporting said components and for distributing a large number of communication signals cables between one component and other components. The construction of both the supporting poles and frameworks is completed by the time said components are located at their desired positions.
