A transient voltage protection device comprises a pair of discharge electrodes opposing each other with a gap therebetween and a discharge inducing portion in contact with the pair of discharge electrodes. The discharge inducing portion comprises a ceramic component, metal particles, and pores discontinuously scattered. The pores have an average size of 0.05 μm or more and 1.04 μm or less.

Transient voltage protection device

An LC composite component includes a magnetic substrate with magnetism, a magnetic layer with magnetism, inductors, capacitors, and core parts with magnetism. The magnetic substrate includes a first surface and a second surface on a side opposite to the first surface. The magnetic layer is disposed to face the first surface of the magnetic substrate. The inductors and the capacitors are disposed between the first surface of the magnetic substrate and the magnetic layer. The core parts are disposed between the first surface of the magnetic substrate and the magnetic layer and connected to the magnetic layer. The thickness of the core part is 1.0 or more times the thickness of the magnetic layer, the thickness of the magnetic substrate is 1.0 or more times the thickness of the magnetic layer.

LC composite component

An LC composite component includes a non-magnetic substrate, a magnetic layer with magnetism, capacitors, inductors, and core parts with magnetism. The non-magnetic substrate includes a first surface and a second surface on a side opposite to the first surface. The magnetic layer is disposed to face the first surface of the non-magnetic substrate. The inductors and the capacitors are disposed between the first surface of the non-magnetic substrate and the magnetic layer. The core parts are disposed between the first surface of the non-magnetic substrate and the magnetic layer and connected to the magnetic layer. The thickness of the core parts is 1.0 or more times the thickness of the magnetic layer in a direction perpendicular to the first surface of the non-magnetic substrate, and each of the magnetic layer and the core parts contains magnetic metal particles and resin.

A composite magnetic material includes a needle-like powder and a spherical powder. The needle-like powder includes a soft magnetic material and has an average minor-axis length of 100 nm or less and an average aspect ratio of 3.0 or more and 10.0 or less. The spherical powder includes a soft magnetic material and has an average major-axis length of 100 nm or less and an average aspect ratio of less than 3.0.

Composite magnetic material and magnetic core

A coil component includes a coil and a composite magnetic material containing magnetic particles. The magnetic particles have an average minor-axis length of more than 5.0 nm and 50 nm or less and an average aspect ratio of 2.0 or more and 10.0 or less. The magnetic particles are orientated substantially perpendicularly to a central axis of the coil and are orientated randomly within a perpendicular plane to the central axis of the coil. The composite magnetic material has a saturation magnetization &#x3c3;s of 80.0 emu/g or more.

Coil component and LC composite component

A soft magnetic material comprising a soft magnetic metal powder and a resin, wherein the soft magnetic metal powder is constituted from a particle group &#x3b1; and group &#x3b2;, when IA is a peak intensity of the particle group &#x3b1;, IB is a peak intensity of the particle group &#x3b2;, and IC is a minimum intensity present between the particle group &#x3b1; and group &#x3b2;, then an intensity ratio IC/IA satisfies 0.10 or less and an intensity ratio IA/IB satisfies 1.2 or more and 3.0 or less, the particle group &#x3b1; having a maximum peak intensity in a size distribution of the soft magnetic metal powder, the particle group &#x3b2; having an peak intensity which is the second largest to the particle group &#x3b1;, and a peak particle size PA of the particle group &#x3b1; is larger than a peak particle size PB of the particle group &#x3b2;.

Soft magnetic material, core, and inductor

The object of the present invention is to provide the soft magnetic material, the core, and the inductor having high permeability and excellent DC superimposition characteristic. A soft magnetic material comprising a soft magnetic metal powder and a resin, wherein said soft magnetic metal powder is constituted from a particle group &#x3b1; and a particle group &#x3b2;, when IA is a peak intensity of the particle group &#x3b1;, V&#x3b1; is the volume of the particle group &#x3b1;, IB is a peak intensity of the particle group &#x3b2;, V&#x3b2; is the volume of the particle group &#x3b2;, and IC is a minimum intensity present between the particle group &#x3b1; and the particle group &#x3b2;, then an intensity ratio IC/IA satisfies 0.12 or less, and a volume ratio V&#x3b1;/V&#x3b2; is 2.0 or more and 5.1 or less.

Provided are a soft magnetic alloy powder, a compact made from the soft magnetic alloy powder, a powder magnetic core including the compact, and a magnetic element including the powder magnetic core. The soft magnetic alloy powder contains Fe&#x2014;Ni-based particles containing 38% to 48% by mass Ni, 1.0% to 15% by mass Co, and 1.2% to 10% by mass Si relative to the total mass of Fe, Ni, Co, and Si, the remainder being Fe. The Fe&#x2014;Ni-based particles have an average size of more than 1 &#x3bc;m to less than 10 &#x3bc;m.
