An aerial vehicle includes an outer surface, an arithmetic unit and a control unit. The arithmetic unit calculates a control command using a control parameter. The control unit controls an attitude of the aerial vehicle or a thrust of the aerial vehicle based on the control command. At least a part of the outer surface of the aerial vehicle is composed of ablation material. The arithmetic unit changes the control parameter in response to an amount of shape change of the aerial vehicle caused by disappearance of the ablation material.

The present invention provides a radio communication apparatus that does not need installation of multiple radio devices in a communication node and requires only a single radio device to construct a data link of any of line-of-sight communication, over-the-horizon communication and aerial-vehicle communication. A radio communication apparatus includes a line-of-sight communication processing part that controls a beam from a phased array antenna to establish a line-of-sight communication, which is used when there is no obstacle in a radio transmission channel, an over-the-horizon communication processing part that controls the beam from the phased array antenna to establish an over-the-horizon communication, which is used when there is an obstacle in the radio transmission channel, and an aerial-vehicle communication processing part that controls the beam from the phased array antenna to establish an aerial-vehicle communication, which is used for communication with a communication node on a flying object, and the phased array antenna switches among the line-of-sight communication, the over-the-horizon communication and the aerial-vehicle communication.

A peeling detector for a tunnel wall capable of rapidly inspecting the tunnel wall by effectively using infrared radiation is provided. The detector heats a tunnel wall,with a light emitting heater,while moving. An infrared camera,detects infrared radiation radiated by the wall after heating. Based on the quantity of the infrared energy, a difference in the temperature between peeled and normal portions induced by heating is grasped to evaluate whether the peeling of the tunnel wall,is present or not.

While a vehicle is traveling, a line sensor camera shoots a tunnel wall surface. Line images from the line sensor camera which outputs a line image equivalent to one line from 2,048 pixels are digitized, and stored in a buffer memory in a state arranged in a moving direction of the line sensor camera. Whenever image data corresponding to 2,048 pixels&times;472 lines are stored, the image data are divided into four plane image data each composed of 512 pixels&times;472 lines. Each plane image is converted to a video image signal by a video signal converter in chronological order, and the video image signal is recorded on a video tape by a video deck. The recorded video tape is played back by another video deck, and a reproduced image is image processed by an image processor, whereby the state of the tunnel wall surface can be inspected. Thus, the equipment cost is reduced, and the time required for inspection shortened.
