A displacement control system (A) of a variable displacement compressor sets a target for pressure in an intake chamber or a crank chamber, on the basis of a detected evaporator-outlet air temperature and a target for evaporator-outlet air temperature. The pressure of a refrigerant in a high-pressure section is detected, and a regulating current is supplied to a solenoid () of a displacement control valve, on the basis of the pressure of the refrigerant in the high-pressure section and the target for pressure.

Displacement control system for variable displacement compressor

Compressor () having a region of pressure intermediate between discharge pressure and suction pressure (especially, crank chamber ()), characterized in that a valve mechanism () is provided for introducing discharge gas into the region of intermediate pressure so as to render constant the difference between intermediate pressure and suction pressure. A compressor structure is provided which can stably introduce a mixture of discharge gas and refrigerating machine oil into the crank chamber without using pressure reducing means such as an aperture and in a manner easy to form a passageway, thereby improving the lubricity of rolling part and slide part in the crank chamber.

Compressor

A connector is provided to be connected to a solenoid embedded in a hole formed on a housing of a device to be attached. The connector is provided with connector electric terminal members which can be engaged with electric terminal members of the solenoid, and a case which stores the connector electric terminal members, is removably attached to the solenoid and covers an opening edge part of the hole. The structure of the connector requires lower process cost for ensuring waterproof and corrosion resistance of the solenoid, compared with a conventional structure. Optionally, a seal between the case and opening edge part of the hole and a diode between the connector electric terminal members and electric terminal members of the solenoid is provided.

In a variable displacement swash plate type refrigerant compressor (), a stopper () is provided for setting an initial angle of the inclination angle of a swash plate () when a drive shaft () is not driven. When the drive shaft () is driven by a driving power source of the compressor () under a non-operation condition of a refrigerant circuit, the stopper () is moved to permit the inclination angle of the swash plate () to be reduced from the initial angle in response to increase of compression work of the compressor () so as to suppress the increase of the compression work to save the driving power for the compressor ().

Clutchless variable displacement refrigerant compressor with mechanism for reducing displacement work at increased driven speed during non-operation of refrigerating system including the compressor

There is disclosed a control valve device for a variable capacity type swash plate compressor for use in an air conditioning system. The device comprises an introducing passage for connecting a discharge chamber to a crank chamber in the compressor, and a control valve for adjusting a pressure in the crank chamber in an autonomous manner to control a discharge capacity of the compressor. The control valve includes a valve unit for opening/closing the introducing passage and an electromagnetic solenoid assembly for operating the valve unit. The control valve device further comprises a resistance variable mechanism for varying a resistance of the magnetic circuit in the assembly in accordance with a differential pressure of the refrigerant between two points defined between the compressor and a condenser of the system.

Control valve device for variable capacity type swash plate compressor

A power transmission device prevents vibration in a rotation direction and collision noise, even if a shock absorbing rubber is permanently deformed in a compression direction. Specifically, even if compression forces repeatedly applied to a shock absorbing rubber causes the shock absorbing rubber to be permanently deformed in a compression direction, an elastic member placed between the shock absorbing rubber and each protrusion presses circumferentially the shock absorbing rubber of a pulley and a transmission ring, and therefore, a shock of an abrupt rotation number change caused by rattling between the shock absorbing rubber and the transmission ring may be absorbed by the elastic member, and vibration in a rotation direction and collision noise may be prevented.

Power transmission device

In an air conditioner provided with a refrigerant circulation circuit having a variable displacement compressor (), there is provided a flow rate sensor () for detecting a collision force of a refrigerant flowing in the refrigerant circulation circuit to produce a collision force detection value. A discharge capacity of the variable displacement compressor is controlled referring to the collision force detection value. It may also be possible to control a discharge capacity such that a valve portion serving to introduce a discharged refrigerant into a crank chamber is applied with a collision force of the refrigerant and an electromagnetic force in opposite directions and, when the collision force is greater than the electromagnetic force, the valve portion is opened to cause the collision force to approach the electromagnetic force.

Air conditioning apparatus using variable displacement compressor

An air conditioner accurately performs detection of a refrigerant circulation amount and improves a basic function including an accuracy and a response characteristic of a control for achieving stable maintenance of a room temperature. An electronic control system includes a controller performing an air-conditioning control so that flow detected information from a hot-wire flow sensor, refrigerant operation state information from a refrigerant operation state sensor, and temperature information from a resistance value sensor are added in external information detection means. Detection of the refrigerant circulation amount can be carried out more accurately and properly, a pressure control of a crank chamber pressure Pc is properly carried out through a gas feed passage by a control valve of a variable displacement compressor, the control valve being controllably driven by the controller through a drive circuit, and the basic function including an engine load control and an air-conditioning control is remarkably improved.

Air conditioner

A variable displacement compressor includes a plate having a variable inclination angle, and a piston engaging the plate. The piston reciprocates within a bore of the compressor in accordance with a rotation of the plate, and the piston has a stroke length which is determined by the inclination angle of the plate. The compressor also includes a sensor positioned adjacent to the piston. The sensor generates an output signal when a predetermined portion of the piston is aligned with the sensor. The compressor also includes a processing unit operationally coupled to the sensor. The processing unit estimates the inclination angle of the plate based on the output signal from the sensor.

Variable displacement compressors which estimate an inclination angle of a plate of the compressor

A compressor includes a power transmission mechanism. The power transmission mechanism includes a shaft, and a first rotation member fixed to the shaft. The first rotation member includes a plurality of accommodation portions. The power transmission mechanism also includes a second rotation member rotatably arranged around the periphery of the first rotation member. The second rotation member has an inner surface facing the first rotation member, and the second rotation member includes a plurality of recessed hollows formed in the inner surface. The compressor further includes a plurality of balls. During operation, a first portion of each of the balls is positioned within a corresponding one of the accommodation portions, and a second portion of each of the balls is positioned within a corresponding one of the hollows, such that a rotational motion of the second rotation member is transmitted to the first rotation member via the balls. The compressor also includes a ring plate adapted to apply a predetermined amount of force to the balls. The predetermined amount of force is sufficient to maintain the balls within their corresponding accommodation portion. Moreover, the second rotation member includes one or more stopper portions which prevent the balls from moving in an axial direction within their corresponding hollow.

A power transmission device includes a driving rotary member, a driven rotary member fixed to one end of a rotary shaft of a driven device, a first intermediate friction member disposed between the driving rotary member and the driven rotary member, and a spring for pressing the driving rotary member against the first intermediate friction member, thereby pressing the first intermediate friction member against the driven rotary member. The driving rotary member is provided with at least one first concave segment, the driven rotary member is provided with at least one convex segment and at least one second concave segment, and the first intermediate friction member is provided with at least one lug. The at least one lug is adapted to engage the at least one first concave segment and to simultaneously abut the at least one convex segment. The at least one lug also is adapted to slip off the at least one convex segment, disengage from the at least one first concave segment, and engage the at least one second concave segment when a torque applied to the driving rotary member exceeds a predetermined torque.

A power transmission has a drive side rotatable member having a plurality of tapered radial concave portions with each having a pair of tapered surfaces. The plurality of tapered radial concave portions are disposed in a radial direction along a radial axis of the drive side rotatable member. A driven side rotatable member is connected to a rotary shaft and has a plurality of radial and axial concave portions disposed in a radial direction along a radial axis of the driven side rotatable member. A plurality of balls are each moveable between each of the plurality of tapered radial concave portions and each of the plurality of radial and axial concave portions. A spring is provided on the driven side rotatable member. Further, a ring having an inclined surface is urged by the spring, whereby the ring presses each of the plurality of balls at a point at which the inclined surface is formed. The ring presses each of the plurality of balls to each of the plurality of tapered radial concave portions and to the driven side rotatable member when torque is transmitted. Further, the ring presses each of the plurality of balls to each of the pairs of tapered surfaces of each of the plurality of tapered radial concave portions and to the inclined surface of the ball pressing ring in order to move each of the balls into each of the plurality of radial and axial concave portions when a torque is interrupted. Accordingly, the present invention has a structure which may maintain torque in an interrupted condition once torque is interrupted.
