A power tool includes: a motor; a fan driven by the motor and defining an axis and a radial direction; and a housing for accommodating the motor and the fan therein, the housing including: a peripheral wall formed with a ventilation hole; and a grid partly covering the ventilation hole, the ventilation hole being positioned adjacent to the fan and having a shape defined by a circumferential surface, the grid including at least one elongated portion extending in a longitudinal direction perpendicular to the radial direction, and a distance from the axis of the fan to the circumferential surface is different from a distance from the axis of the fan to one elongated portion in the radial direction of the fan.

Power tool

An electric device body in which a battery pack including a plurality of battery cells and a plurality of first terminals is detachably mounted includes: a housing; a guide mechanism; and a plurality of second terminals; and a pressed portion. The battery pack is configured to be attached to and detached from the housing along a first direction. The guide mechanism is provided at the housing and configured to define the first direction. The plurality of second terminals is configured to be connected to the plurality of first terminals upon attachment of the battery pack to the housing. The pressed portion is configured to be pressed against the battery pack in a second direction intersecting the first direction when the battery pack has been attached to the housing.

When a battery pack is mounted to a battery attachment part, the battery pack is slid in a horizontal direction (a direction substantially perpendicular to an upper-lower direction) with respect to the housing, e.g., along a long longitudinal direction of a battery-side rail part, such that tool-side rail parts of the battery attachment part are introduced into engaging recess portions of the battery pack. Thereby, the elastic members are fitted and compressed in the battery-side rail parts and the tool-side rail parts, so that the elastic members press upwards the battery-side rail part (e.g., the battery pack) and press downwards the tool-side rail parts (e.g., the housing). That is, the elastic members press the battery pack and the housing such that they come close to each other.

Power tool and method for producing the same

When the plunger is a game moved to a prescribed position Ph of an initial state on the upper dead point side by the drive force of the motor after the plunger is moved to the lower dead point side, the controller of a spring driven-type fastener driving tool reduces the rotational speed of the motor to a prescribed value or less based on the detection signal of the operation detection switch and then stops the slowed down motor. In order to achieve this, the plunger is stopped at a stop position of an initial state that is as close as possible to an upper dead point side drive start position and is subjected to a strong compression force by the drive spring.

Fastener driving tool

A spring-type fastener driving tool includes a plunger having a blade that drives in fasteners, a spring that urges the plunger downwards and is capable of being compressed upwards, a spring compression mechanism unit that includes a drum that causes the plunger to move in a compression direction of the spring based on rotational force of a motor, a reduction mechanism unit, and a one-way clutch than prohibits reverse rotation of the motor. Reverse rotation of the drum due to the urging force of the spring is prevented by providing the one-way clutch between an input side rotating shaft of the reduction mechanism unit and a rotation output shaft of the motor.

An adjuster has a cylindrical shape and is rotatably supported in a housing of a fastener-driving tool about an axis parallel to one direction. The adjuster has an outer circumferential surface provided with one of a first recessed portion and a first protruding portion. A bumper is movable in the one direction and another direction opposite the one direction according to a rotation of the adjuster. An urging member has one of a second recessed portion and a second protruding portion. One of the second recessed portion and the second protruding portion is constantly in contact with the outer circumferential surface and is engaged with the one of the first recessed portion and the first protruding portion.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a nailing machine including: a housing; a motor that is accommodated in the housing; a plunger that plunges a nailing member; and a spring that is expanded or compressed by the motor to store an elastic energy therein and that accelerates the plunger by releasing the elastic energy, wherein a spring constant of the spring at one end of the spring in an expanding/compressing direction is set smaller than that of the spring at a center in the expanding/compressing direction.

A fastener driving tool has a housing, a nose portion, a magazine, a motor, a plunger, a drive mechanism, a trigger switch, a detection switch, an energizing switch, a failure detection circuit. The magazine is configured to store and supply a fastener to the nose portion. The motor is provided in the housing. The a plunger is provided in the housing to move between a top dead center and a bottom dead center. The plunger has a blade for impacting the fastener. The drive mechanism is configured to drive the plunger with power from the motor. The trigger switch is configured to drive the drive mechanism, and operated by a user. The detection switch is configured to be switched according to an arrangement of the drive mechanism. The energizing switch is configured to control power feed of the motor. The energizing switch is switched by the trigger switch and the detection switch. The failure detection circuit is configured to turn off the energizing switch, based on a condition of the detection switch prior to impacting the fastener.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a driving device including: a driver bit for striking a fastener loaded in a launching section; a driver for driving the fastener from the launching section by reciprocating the driver bit; a triggering device pullable to control the driver; and a locking device that locks the pulling operation of the triggering device when being set to a lock position and that releases the locking state when being set to a release position, wherein the locking device includes a release device to operate the locking device toward the release position when the triggering device is pulled and a returning device to return the locking device toward the lock position when the pulling is released.

Driving machine

A fastener driving tool includes a housing, a motor, a plunger, a spring, a drum, and one of a cable and a sheet member. The motor is provided in the housing. The plunger is provided in the housing for impacting a fastener in a fastener driving direction. The spring urges the plunger in the fastener driving direction. The drum is rotatably supported in the housing and is rotationally driven by the motor. The one of a cable and a sheet member is capable of being wound over the drum and has one end fixed to the drum and another end acting on the spring for transmitting a driving force of the motor to the spring. The spring is configured to accumulate a resilient energy therein for impacting the fastener by the plunger. The resilient energy of the spring is accumulated by forcible resilient deformation thereof as a result of winding of the one of the cable and the sheet member over the drum rotationally driven by the motor.

A controllerhas a single-driving mode/continuous-driving mode changeover switchfor performing fastener driving operation in a single driving mode or a continuous driving mode. In a case where the single-driving mode/continuous-driving mode changeover switchinstructs a single driving mode, the controllercauses a driver bladeto perform fastener driving operation when both a trigger switchand a push lever switchare switched, by switching operation, from the one switch status to the other switch status (e.g., the ON status). Consequently, fastener driving operation is made possible regardless of sequence of actuation of the trigger switchand the push lever switch
