The total length of starter harnessfor exclusive use for connecting a starter for an engine and plus-side terminalof in-vehicle batteryis increased by providing a surplus redundant segmentto increase resistance in harnessbeyond length required for laying the harness in an engine room. Redundant segmentis collected in a form of rod by forming a two-fold portion by folding a portion of the single continuous harness, and further folding the two-fold portion twice, and fixed through harness holderto bracketof battery tray. Without using a resistor receiving limitation of the heat resistance, it is possible to suppress a voltage drop at the time of restart, problematical in a vehicle having an idle-stop function. A required resistance is obtained by increasing the length redundantly, so that a temperature increase of harnessis small.

Disclosed herein is a protector for wire harness, which comprises a first protector body for protectively covering a first wire harness to be secured therein and a second protector body for protectively covering a second wire harness to be optionally secured therein. The second protector body having a substantially L-like shape in cross section. The second body is pivotally coupled with the first protector body through a hinge member so as to enable pivotal movement of the second protector body with respect to the first protector body. The protector further comprises a plurality of supporting pieces for supporting the second wire harness thereon which may be secured in addition to the first wire harness. The supporting pieces are provided on the first protector body so as to secure the second wire harness in cooperation with the second protector body.

A power supply control circuit for selectively supplying electrical power to either a first high-mount lamp installed on a detachable body component of an automotive vehicle body or a second high-mount lamp installed on a main body component thereof has a relay and two diodes. The relay establishes the communication between the second high-mount lamp and a power source in response to turning ON of a brake switch when the detachable body component is opened or removed from the main component and blocks the communication when it is closed. In this circuit, the power source applies voltage to relay coil via an ignition switch and one of the diodes or via the brake switch and the other of the diodes, so as to prevent electricity from continuously passing through the relay coil when the detachable body component is opened or removed from the vehicle body for a long time.
