The present invention provides a semiconductor device whose reliability is improved by improving the adhesion strength of a metal plate or connecting chip, said plurality of electrodes and a lead frame with a molding resin. Further, the semiconductor device of the present invention prevents flow out of a conductive joining material to be employed for joining a lead terminal and the metal plate other than the joining range of the metal plate and the lead terminal, and mounts the metal plate at high precision. In a semiconductor device (a plastic package) in which a source electrode of a semiconductor chip and source terminal of a lead frame are electrically connected by a copper plate and sealed by a resin, the surface of the copper plate is roughened to improve the adhesion strength to a molding resin. Further, a stepped part is formed in the source terminal to prevent a conductive paste from flowing out. The structure is so formed as to fit claw parts in the lead frame.

Semiconductor device with uneven metal plate to improve adhesion to molding compound

An electrically conductive paste comprises 80% by weight or more of silver powder and 20% by weight or less of a thermosetting resin. The silver powder has a particle size distribution having two peaks at specific positions. Viscosities of the paste measured under a low shearing stress and under a high shearing stress are in respective specific ranges and the ratio of these viscosities is in a specific range. A cured product obtained by heating the paste has a tensile modulus in a specific range. The paste has thermal and electric conductivities approximately the same as those of solder, shows little change in properties under a high temperature and a high humidity or under cyclic cooling and heating, exhibits excellent workability in coating and can be applied to coating by using nozzles having a wide range of diameters. Swash plate type hydraulic unit

It is intended to provide a swash plate type continuously variable transmission capable of automatically affording a lock-up state in which second distributing valves are stopped at their stroke mid-point to cut off motor ports when a motor swash plate stands upright, even without using any special interlocking mechanism. Second distributing valves for bringing motor ports of motor cylinder bores into communication with a high-pressure oil path and a low-pressure oil path selectively in an alternate manner are arranged in parallel with the axis X of a cylinder block; a valve swash plate for reciprocating the second distributing valves is integrally combined with a motor swash plate on the same slant plane; and the motor ports are formed so as to be controlled selectively by the second distributing valves at respective positions 90.degree. out of phase in the circumferential direction of the cylinder block 4 with respect to the corresponding motor cylinder bores, the second distributing valves being stopped at their stroke mid-points when the motor swash plate stands upright. In a swash plate type hydraulic unit for use as a swash plate type oil-hydraulic pump or motor, it is intended to attain the reduction in radial size of the hydraulic unit while ensuring a sufficient plunger stroke.

Swash plate type continuously variable transmission

A gear ratio is controlled to infinity so as to allow a vehicle to get underway smoothly with a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission equipped with a hydraulic pump having a cam plate with a fixed angle of inclination and a hydraulic motor having a cam plate with a variable angle of inclination. First distributing valves allow the cylinder holes of a hydraulic pump to selectively communicate with a low pressure oil circuit and high pressure oil circuit are operated by a first eccentric ring located in an eccentric weight ring. The eccentric weight ring rotates along with an input cylinder shaft and moves as a result of centrifugal force in a direction tilted 45.degree. with respect to an imaginary trunnion line O.sub.1 of the hydraulic pump so that the phase in the direction of eccentricity of the first eccentric ring is automatically changed. The first eccentric ring is off center in the direction perpendicular to the imaginary trunnion line O.sub.1 during low speed rotation, resulting in an infinite gear ratio, and is off center in the direction along the imaginary trunnion line O.sub.1 during high speed rotation, resulting in a gear ratio with a prescribed low value.

Hydrostatic continuously variable transmission

A hydrostatic continuously variable transmission is provided in which a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor are communicated to each other through a low pressure oil passage and a high pressure oil passage and a clutch valve capable of releasing an oil pressure of the high pressure oil passage is connected to the high pressure oil passage. The clutch valve can be automatically operated by making use of an oil pressure of the low pressure oil passage. A clutch valve is applied with an oil pressure of a low pressure oil passage for biasing the clutch valve in a valve opening direction, and an oil pressure governor is connected to a supply oil passage for supplying an oil pressure from an oil supply pump to the low pressure oil passage through a check valve for increasing an oil pressure of the oil passage in accordance with an increase in an input rotational speed of a hydraulic pump.

Automatic clutch device for hydrostatic continuously variable

To provide a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission including a constant displacement type swash plate hydraulic pump and a variable displacement type swash plate hydraulic motor, wherein a thrust load generated between an input cylindrical shaft of the hydraulic pump and a motor swash plate anchor of the hydraulic motor is not transmitted to an output shaft of the transmission. An input cylindrical shaft and a pump cylinder are axially fixedly connected by a first angular contact bearing interposed therebetween, and a cylinder block and a motor swash plate anchor are axially fixedly connected by a second angular contact bearing interposed therebetween.

A transmission with a static, hydraulic continuously-variable-speed transmission mechanism comprising a hydraulic circuit having a closed circuit, a hydraulic pump connected on the crankshaft of an engine, and a hydraulic motor having a motor output shaft coaxial with the axis of rotation of the hydraulic pump, and contained in a casing with its axis extended in parallel to that of the crankshaft. The static, hydraulic continuously-variable-speed transmission mechanism has a small construction and has an increased degree of freedom of selection of speed change ratio. The present invention provides a swash plate type hydraulic actuator comprising cylinders provided with an inner oil passage, an outer oil passage, cylinder bores, radial valve holes extending between the inner oil passage and the outer oil passages, and ports opening into the cylinder bores and the valve holes, respectively. Distributing valves are slidably fitted in the valve holes for connecting the ports alternately to the inner oil passage and the outer oil passage. In a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission in which a clutch valve capable of operating between a clutch-on position for setting a hydraulic closed circuit between a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor to a hydraulic transmitting state and a clutch-off position for setting the hydraulic closed circuit to a hydraulic transmission cutting-off state is connected to the hydraulic closed circuit, a pressure bearing chamber for urging the clutch valve to the clutch-off position, and a pressure regulating spring for urging the valve to the clutch-on position are provided in the clutch valve, and a clutch controller for regulating the set load of the pressure regulating spring is connected to the pressure regulating spring. Thus, the degree of the hydraulic transmission between the pump and the motor can be controlled as desired without influence of the viscous change of a working oil. Hydrostatic continously variable transmission with adjustable clutch

A power transmission system comprises a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission constituted by integrally and coaxially coupling a pump cylinder of a swashplate type hydraulic pump with a motor cylinder of a swashplate type hydraulic motor. The transmission is rotatably supported at its opposite ends on a bearing. A first transmission device connected to an engine is connected to an input member of the pump from one side of the transmission, and a second transmission device connected to a load member is connected to an output member of the pump on the radially opposite side of the transmission. The first and second transmission devices are disposed adjacent each other near one end of the continuously variable transmission. This permits the points of action of loads on the input and output members from the first and second transmission devices to be placed in close vicinity to each other, thereby reducing the swinging moment and the flexing moment acting on the transmission due to these loads.

Power transmission system

The present invention relates to a method for controlling an automatic transmission of a vehicle which is capable of continuously changing a transmission ratio (Rt) and transmission coefficient (Ct). The method is three fold, that is, an initial stage control procedure, a special stage control procedure and a normal stage control procedure having priority in operation in this order. At the initial stage control procedure, Rt and Ct are determined, according to a plurality of indices representing a state of the vehicle, so that the vehicle is accelerated effectively, in general. At the special stage control procedure, Rt and Ct are determined, when a propelling force transmitting path for transmitting propelling force from an engine to the ground is disconnected at least at one part, so that a shock due to a recovery of said propelling force transmitting path is minimized. At the normal stage control procedure, Rt and Ct are determined so that the vehicle responds to the operation of the driver swiftly.

Method for controlling automatic transmissions

In a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission, a pump cylinder of a swashplate type hydraulic pump is integrally and coaxially coupled with a motor cylinder of a swashplate type hydraulic motor. A number of distributor valves are radially arranged for reciprocal movement between radially inner and outer positions to put a large number of pump ports in the hydraulic pump into communication with the higher and lower pressure oil passages, and an eccentric ring circumscribed about the distributor valves is connected to an input member of the hydraulic pump for movement between a clutch OFF position and a clutch ON position. A clutch spring is connected to the eccentric ring for biasing the eccentric ring toward the clutch OFF position, and a weight is added to the eccentric ring and adapted to exhibit a centrifugal force for moving the eccentric ring toward the clutch ON position against a spring force of the clutch spring.
