To introduce a reagent with a small amount of residual liquid and enable a fluidic manipulation by deformation of an elastic film, a sealed type of sample processing device is configured with a reagent storage including a joint portion which joins an upper film and a lower film at a periphery of a storage space which stores a reagent between both films, an analysis chip including a lower surface fluid channel through which a liquid flows on a lower surface side and an upper surface fluid channel through which the liquid flows on an upper surface side, and an elastic film which seals the lower surface side of the analysis chip. A portion of the lower film is joined to the upper surface side of the analysis chip, a removed portion, in which the lower film is partially removed, is in an upper part of the upper surface fluid channel.

Sample processing device and apparatus

A liquid chromatograph has a long-life flow passage switching valve with reduced abrasion caused by sliding of flow passage end portions of a stator and flow passage end portions of a rotor seal. The flow passage switching valve includes: a stator; and a rotor seal connected with a rotor configured to rotate and slide on a circumference with respect to the stator. The stator has stator flow passages that open to the rotor seal. The rotor seal has a rotor seal flow passage for coupling two or more of the stator flow passages. A flow passage end portion that is positioned at a tip end in a sliding direction of the rotor seal flow passage is positioned in a direction opposite to the sliding direction of the stator flow passage end portion to be connected to the rotor seal flow passage, at least at the start of sliding.

Flow passage switching valve and liquid chromatograph having the same

Provided are a bubble eliminating structure and a bubble eliminating method which eliminate bubbles in a liquid by agitating the liquid, and an agitating method using the same. A first groove, which is an upstream bubble eliminating groove, and a second groove, which is a downstream bubble eliminating groove, are branched from a mixing well. After starting suction of the liquid from mixing wellinto the first groove, suction of the liquid from the mixing wellinto the second grooveis started, and after completion of discharge of the liquid from the first grooveinto the mixing well, discharge of the liquid from the second grooveinto the mixing wellis completed. This operation is repeated to eliminate bubbles.

Bubble eliminating structure, bubble eliminating method, and agitating method using the same

A blood collecting device collects blood in a short time after puncture without scattering the blood into the open air other than a container for collecting the blood. One of representative blood collecting devices has a container unit that includes a screw portion, a holder that holds the container unit serving as a system whose one end is closed, a puncture unit that can be attached to the container or the holder, a through-hole of the puncture unit, and a puncture unit protection member that protects the puncture unit and the container unit.

The present invention provides a pretreatment device for a sample for analysis that makes it possible to send a sample liquid to an arbitrary treatment module connected to a sample liquid conveyance flow route, and an analysis system using the same. A pretreatment device for a sample for analysis according to the present invention is at least provided with a plurality of sample liquid treatment modules for introducing a sample liquid or carrying out prescribed pretreatment on the sample liquid, a first flow path for conveying the sample liquid or the pretreated sample liquid between the plurality of sample liquid treatment modules, and a conveyance direction switching part for switching the conveyance direction of the sample liquid or the pretreated sample liquid in the first flow path. The sample liquid treatment modules have an introduction flow path for introducing the sample liquid or the pretreated sample liquid from the first flow path, a discharge flow path for sending the sample liquid or the pretreated sample liquid to the first flow path, and a flow path switching part for switching the state of communication with the first flow path of the introduction flow path and the discharge flow path.

Pretreatment device for sample for analysis, and analysis system using same

Provided are: a flow path switching valve that reduces the pressure load in a contact surface outer peripheral section of the flow path switching valve and inhibits friction between constituent components; and a liquid chromatographic device using the flow path switching valve. The flow path switching valve is provided with a stator having a plurality of through holes and a seal having conduction grooves for causing the through holes to conduct. The seal has a first portion present vertically beneath a region comprising at least a surface of contact with the stator, and a second portion having lower rigidity than the first portion, on the outside of the first portion. Due to this configuration, it is possible to reduce the pressure load when a flow path of a liquid is switched under high-pressure conditions, and inhibit the phenomenon of friction itself.

Fluid switching valve and liquid chromatograph apparatus using the same

A chemical analysis apparatus includes a liquid delivery device and a liquid discharge unit discharging delivered liquids, the liquid delivery device including: a first liquid delivery unit delivering a first liquid containing an analysis object; a second liquid delivery unit delivering a second liquid not containing an analysis object; a measurement unit measuring physical properties of the delivered first liquid; first and second liquid pools containing the delivered first liquid and second liquid; and a plurality of passive valves. The apparatus further includes: a first flow passage connecting the first liquid delivery unit and the liquid delivery device; a second flow passage connecting the measurement unit and the second liquid pool; a third flow passage connecting the second liquid delivery unit and the liquid discharge unit; a first air hole provided in the first liquid pool; and a second air hole provided in the second liquid pool.

Liquid delivery device and chemical analysis apparatus using liquid delivery device

The present invention is such a plug application and removal device that mist which is generated upon plug removal of a sample container or a reagent container is not peripherally scattered, or is such a sample processing device that mist which is generated upon dispensing of a sample or a reagent into a container is not mixed to another container. A plug application and removal device has a container holding mechanism that holds a container housing liquid inside and applied with a plug, and has a plug application and removal mechanism that removes or applies the plug from/to the container. The plug application and removal device has: a control mechanism for controlling movement of liquid or mist spilled out of the container upon a process of removal or application of the plug by the plug application and removal mechanism.

In some examples, a liquid feeding device includes a main flow passage in which a fluid may be fed between an upstream side and a downstream side. A first flow passage may branch from the main flow passage, and may include a narrow flow passage at a terminal end portion, having a smaller cross-sectional area than the first flow passage. A liquid feeding mechanism may feed the fluid to the main flow passage and the first flow passage. The narrow flow passage may suppress the fluid from leaking from first flow passage. Thus, the liquid feeding device may quantitatively determine a first volume of the fluid by filling the first flow passage with the fluid, and subsequently feeding the quantitatively determined fluid back to the main flow passage.

A nucleic acid analysis reaction cell and a nucleic acid analyzer are provided, in which a uniform flow rate is realized, so that a portion where a flow rate is low is removed and washing time for reagent removal is shortened. A flow path () is provided which includes a detection area () for detecting sequence information of a nucleic acid fragment and detection outer areas () disposed at both ends of the detection area (). A liquid mixing device that decreases a concentration non-uniformity in the flow direction of a mobile phase and a liquid chromatograph that uses the liquid mixing device are provided. The liquid mixing device is configured to include a flow channel unit that is made from an introduction channel, a branch portion that is positioned in a downstream of the introduction channel, multiple branched flow channels that branch from the branch portion, a junction portion in which the multiple branched flow channels join together, and a discharge channel of the downstream of the junction portion. The multiple branched flow channels are different in terms of any one of, or several of width, depth, and length that are associated with an external shape, and a structure filling the inside of the flow channel and thus the times for the liquid to pass through the branched flow channels are different from each other.

Liquid mixing device and liquid chromatograph

It is possible to correctly determine whether a change in the pressure or flow rate is caused by normal opening and closing operations of a check valve and to monitor in real time whether an operation of a check valve is normal or abnormal in a liquid supply device. Light is introduced in the check valve and a change in the quantity of light transmitted through or reflected by the check valve, caused by the opening and closing of the valve is detected, so that the opening and closing operations of the check valve can be directly detected. The check valve is arranged in a pipe in the liquid supply device, and a change in the pressure in the pipe is monitored on the basis of a signal from a pressure sensor and a signal which represents the opening and closing of the check valve.

Both a column having high-pressure resistance and capable of performing high-speed separation and analysis even with a small flow rate and a liquid chromatograph apparatus using the column are provided. A separation column according to the present invention has a monolithic rod being arranged in the center, being made of a porous material, and having a circular cross section, a filler layer arranged such that it encircles a circumferential surface of the monolithic rod, and a cylindrical support medium arranged outside the filler layer. The filler layer is formed by filling a tube-like gap between the monolithic rod and the support medium with particles or beads.

In the separation column, a sample and a mobile phase are introduced into a packing material. The chromatograph has a covering member for covering an outer surface of the packing material and a supporting member having the packing material covered with the covering member inserted therein, wherein the level of pressure generated within a gap located between the covering member and the supporting member on the outflow side of the gap, where the fluid-flows out of the gap, is lower than that of pressure generated within the gap on the inflow side of the gap, where the fluid is introduced.
