A planographic printing plate supply unit comprising: carrying rollers rotating while pressing a stacking bundle, in which planographic printing plates and covering papers are stacked alternately, so as to carry the planographic printing plate and covering paper at the top of the stacking bundle, wherein convex portions which are elastically deformed when pressing the stacking bundle and whose contact area with the planographic printing plate is larger after being elastically deformed than before are provided on the outside periphery of the carrying roller.

A conveying device for a printing plate precursor which takes the printing plate precursor and an interleaf sheet out from a cassette, and which, along a conveying path to an exposure section, takes-off only the interleaf sheet. When a leading end of the interleaf sheet passes by an interleaf sheet peeling roller disposed on the conveying path, the interleaf sheet peeling roller rotates in a direction opposite to a direction of conveying to the exposure section, and contacts the interleaf sheet, and slack is formed in the interleaf sheet between the interleaf sheet peeling roller and a conveying roller. A slack portion is nipped between two belts and fed to a forked-off path, and the interleaf sheet is removed from the conveying path. It is possible to feed only the printing plate precursor out to the exposure section while continuing to convey the printing plate precursor.

Image recording material conveying device and automatic image recording system

A device for positioning a sheet-shaped material by providing a plurality of pairs of pins on a conveying path. Printing plate precursors are classified, on the basis of widths thereof, into large-sized and small-sized. Two pairs of positioning pins are provided for each size, and are disposed so as to be offset in a direction of conveying a printing plate precursor toward a rotating drum. A width of a small-sized printing plate precursor is smaller than a pitch dimension of a pair of positioning pins for large-sized printing plate precursors. Therefore, the small-sized printing plate precursor abuts and is positioned by positioning pins for small-sized printing plate precursors which are provided further ahead. Moreover, a large-sized printing plate precursor directly abuts and is positioned by the positioning pins for large-sized printing plate precursors, so as not to be interfered with by the positioning pins for small-sized printing plate precursors.

Sheet-shaped material positioning device and printing plate precursor exposure device

A device for removing an image recording material is provided, which takes up little space and is used with printing plates and interleaf sheets set alternately in a cassette. An interleaf sheet and a printing plate are taken out simultaneously. In the midst of being conveyed along a conveying path leading to an exposure section, only the interleaf sheet is sucked by a fan or drawn-in between a roller pair so as to be peeled off from the printing plate. The peeled-off interleaf sheet is discarded, and the printing plate is conveyed reliably to the exposure section.

Device for removing image recording material

A printing plate is held at one point thereof by a holding portion provided at a surface plate. When pushed by a pushing portion, the printing plate is only rotationally displaced. Thus, an angular error is substantially eliminated and displacement of the printing plate is small. Then, the pushing portion positions the printing plate in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the surface plate can be moved. Then, movement of the surface plate positions the printing plate in the direction in which the surface plate can be moved.

An automatic exposure apparatus for printing plates and a method for exposing printing plates, which can prevent a defective image such as an unfocused image from being formed when an image is recorded onto the printing plate is provided. Suction holes are formed at a surface plate of an automatic exposure apparatus for printing plates, and a vacuum pump communicates with the suction holes. A solenoid valve is provided at a communicating path between the suction holes and the vacuum pump , and a chamber is provided at the communicating path between the solenoid valve and the vacuum pump . The solenoid valve is closed and the vacuum pump is operated in a state in which a photopolymer plate is disposed on a top surface of the surface plate , and the solenoid valve is opened completely in an instant in a state in which a pressure of a decompressed interior of the chamber is a predetermined value or lower, such that the decompressed interior can suck air all at once from the suction holes with a strong suction force. Accordingly, a curled photopolymer plate can be brought in complete contact with the top surface of the surface plate , and thus, a defective image such as an unfocused image is prevented when an image is recorded.

Automatic exposure apparatus for printing plates and method for exposing printing plates

A sheet material stacking device and an automatic exposure device for a printing plate, capable of stacking a number of interleaf sheets stably and efficiently. A pair of skewered rollers are provided at the sheet material stacking device used for the automatic exposure device. An interleaf sheet, which is fed from an interleaf sheet transport section, is guided by guide plates and nipped by the rollers. The interleaf sheet, while maintaining a so-called stronger pulling tension, is forcibly fed to an interleaf sheet accommodating section and stacked. Even if the interleaf sheet is thin, the interleaf sheet can behave stably as it is being stacked, and a number of the interleaf sheets can be stacked regularly and effectively.

Sheet material stacking device and automatic exposure device for a printing plate

A casing of a ball bearing which holds a ball screw can be displaced on a supporting stand against urging force of a compression coil spring and a tensile coil spring. If vibration of the ball screw is transmitted to the casing, the casing attempts to move on the supporting stand. However, when, due to the vibration, the casing is displaced against the urging force of the compression coil spring and the tensile coil spring, the urging force forcibly attempts to return the casing to its original position. A frequency of vibration of the casing is thereby forcibly changed.

Ball screw feed mechanism

In a printing plate automatic exposing device, a vacuum pump and a pressure sensor are provided in communication with a detection hole provided in a surface plate. When a photopolymer plate is set on the surface plate, a degree of vacuum of the detection hole becomes a predetermined degree of vacuum due to operation of the vacuum pump.

In an automatic exposure apparatus for printing plates, a photopolymer plate is taken out of an accommodating cassette in which stacked photopolymer plates are accommodated, and an image is recorded onto the photopolymer plate. A shutter which opens and closes an opening of the accommodating cassette is configured as a thin plate, and thus, the accommodating cassette is thin and light.

Exposure apparatus for printing plates

A heat transfer device for sheet assembly for the heat transfer of an image on a transfer sheet to a receptor sheet for printing by inserting a sheet assembly comprising the transfer sheet on which an image has been formed and a receptor sheet for printing superimposed on an auxiliary plate into an inlet opening portion formed on a casing along an inlet stand, and passing between a pair of heat pressure rolls arranged inside the casing, includes: an exhaust fan for taking the outside air from the inlet opening portion toward the pair of the heat pressure rollers for cooling the pair of the heat pressure rollers; and aperture maintaining means for maintaining air passage for allowing the intake of the outside air between the upper edge portion of the inlet opening portion and the upper surface of the sheet assembly at the time of inserting the sheet assembly into the inlet opening portion. Accordingly, the pair of the heat pressure rollers can be securely cooled by the outside air via the air passage.

Heat transfer device for sheet assembly

A feed device for feeding an image recording medium such as a film has a drive drum and at least one nip roller for gripping and feeding the image recording medium therebetween. At least two speed reducers are operatively coupled between the drive drum and a rotative drive source and comprise respective pairs of pulleys of different diameters and respective belts each trained around one of the pairs of pulleys, and wherein the belt operatively associated with the drive drum is of higher rigidity than at least one other belt.

Feed device

An image is recorded on an elongate image recording medium by feeding the image recording medium in an auxiliary scanning direction from a loading unit and applying a light beam to the image recording medium in a main scanning direction transverse to the auxiliary scanning direction. A loose loop is formed out of the image recording medium between the loading unit and an image scanning recording unit. Guide plates are angularly displaced to allow the image recording medium to hang by gravity with the image recording medium with the image recorded thereon having a free distal end. The hanging image recording medium is moved back toward the image scanning recording unit after the image has been recorded. The guide plates are displaced back to deliver the image recording medium to a next process.

Method of and apparatus for recording image onto a recording medium

In a printer which uses a lens in its exposure system to transfer an image formed on a negative film or a cathode ray tube onto a printing medium, a conjugate length varying device including a projecting stand on which a paper mask is detachably mounted and a plurality of paper masks different in height from one another. The paper masks are selectively mounted on the projecting stand to change the conjugate length thereby to change the print size.
