A DC-AC inverter system using a state observer and a control method thereof are provided. The control method of the DC-AC inverter system includes the following steps. The state observer outputs a filter-capacitor-current estimation value at a next sampling time according to a DC link voltage at a current sampling time and a filter-capacitor-voltage actual value at the current sampling time. The filter-inductor-current estimation value at the next sampling time is compared with the filter-capacitor-current estimation value at the next sampling time to obtain a load current estimation value at the next sampling time. An inductor voltage estimator outputs a filter-inductor-voltage estimation value at the next sampling time according to the load current estimation value at the next sampling time. A feed-forward control is performed according to the filter-inductor-voltage estimation value at the next sampling time.

DC-AC inverter system using state observer and control method thereof

A voltage balance control method applicable to a three-phase DC-AC inverter is provided, the voltage balance control method including: multiplying, by a first multiplier, an actual value of a line capacitance voltage by a sine function to generate a first voltage; capturing, by a first filter, a DC part of the first voltage to generate an error DC component; subtracting, by a first subtractor, the error DC component from a target voltage amplitude to generate a second voltage; adjusting, by a first proportional-integral controller, the second voltage to generate an amplitude error compensation value; and adding, by an adder, the amplitude error compensation value with the target voltage amplitude to generate an amplitude reference value. A voltage balance control device applicable to a three-phase DC-AC inverter is also provided.

Voltage balance control method and device for three-phase DC-AC inverter

A dead-time voltage compensation apparatus and a dead-time voltage compensation method are provided. The method includes: converting a DC voltage of an input end of a single-phase DC-AC inverter into a unipolar AC voltage; calculating first to third current values based on a first inductor current value of a inductor, calculating first voltage compensation amounts of a first dead-time and a third dead-time of an AC voltage and a second inductor current value of the AC voltage based on polarities of the first to third current values, calculating fourth to sixth current values based on the second inductor current value, calculating second voltage compensation amounts of a second dead-time and a fourth dead-time of the AC voltage based on polarities of the fourth to sixth current values, and compensating a control reference signal of a processor based on the first and second voltage compensation amounts.

Dead-time voltage compensation apparatus and dead-time voltage compensation method

A sensorless measurement device for filter capacitor current by using a state observer is provided. The sensorless measurement device comprises a chip, wherein the chip comprises the state observer. The state observer is configured to retrieve a filter-capacitor-voltage actual value and a direct current link (dc-link) voltage of a present sampling time. According to the filter-capacitor-voltage actual value and the dc-link voltage, the state observer is configured to output a filter-capacitor-voltage state variable value, a filter-capacitor-current state variable value, and a disturbance-voltage state variable value of a next sampling time. The filter-capacitor-current state variable value is an average current value without ripples.

Sensorless measurement method and device for filter capacitor current by using a state observer

A ripple-compensation control method and electrical energy conversion device utilizing the same are provided. The ripple-compensation control method is disclosed, adopted by an electrical energy conversion device including a converter configured to perform electrical energy conversion, a controller coupled to control terminals of the converter and controlling a first voltage of a DC node of the converter according to a command value, and a ripple-compensation unit configured to generate a ripple-component voltage of the first voltage and provide the command value generated based on the ripple-component voltage to the controller.

Method of ripple-compensation control and electrical energy conversion device using the same

A voltage compensating method is applied to a converter for converting a DC voltage into an AC voltage. The converter includes a first switch module, a second switch module, and an inductor. In a first dead time period, detect a first current value related to the inductor. According to the first current value, calculate a second current value and a third current value related to the inductor. According to polarities of the first, second and third current values, determine an output mode of the converter indicating a voltage compensation model after the first dead time period. According to the voltage compensation model, the first current value, and the second current value or the third current value, calculate a voltage compensation value. In a second dead time period, adjust a switching time for the first switch module and the second switch module according to the voltage compensation value.

Voltage compensating method for converter

The disclosure provides a DC-to-AC power inverting apparatus for photovoltaic modules, which comprises two stages: a first stage including a resonant circuit in series, an isolating transformer with three windings, a full-bridge DC-to-AC converting unit operating in a high-frequency switch mode so as to reduce the transformer volume, and a full-wave rectifier; while a second stage including a half-bridge single-phase inverter unit with two active switches. In the first stage, any high-frequency AC signal produced from the primary winding of the isolating transformer is converter into a DC signal by the full-wave rectifier at the secondary winding of the isolation transformer. Moreover, the switching of the two active switches in the second stage is controlled to operate in a low-frequency mode using a switching frequency synchronized with the frequency of the public electrical supply to control the AC output, and thus to reduce the switching loss of the active switches.

DC-to-AC power inverting apparatus for photovoltaic modules

The present disclosure relates to a resonance circuit for DC-link voltage control in a DC-to-AC inverter. The resonance circuit comprises two active switches. Before the active switches of the DC-to-AC inverter are turned on, a DC-link voltage is isolated by the active switches and the active switches of the DC-to-AC inverter are discharged by the resonance circuit to zero voltage at both ends. Then, the active switches of the DC-to-AC inverter are turned on again after the DC-link voltage is charged by the resonance circuit until the DC-link voltage restores to a normal voltage value. Hence, the active switches of the DC-to-AC inverter achieve zero-voltage switching. Not only the switching loss can be reduced to enhance the conversion efficiency, but also the electro-magnetic interference as well as the RF interference due to dynamic transient changes of the voltage (dv/dt) and of the current (di/dt) can be lowered.

Resonance circuit for DC-link voltage control in DC-to-AC inverter

A power conversion device is provided for converting a DC voltage to an alternating current corresponding to an AC voltage according to the AC voltage, which includes a power conversion unit and an output unit. The power conversion unit converts the DC voltage to a high-frequency current having two envelops corresponding to the waveform of the AC voltage. The output unit includes an inductive circuit, a full-wave rectifying circuit, an inverter circuit and a filter circuit. The inductive circuit provides two induced currents according to the high-frequency current, wherein one induced current and the high-frequency current are in phase, and the other induced current and the high-frequency current are in antiphase. The full-wave rectifying circuit full-wave rectifies the two induced currents. The inverter circuit alternatively transfers the two full-wave rectified induced currents, and thus output an output current. The filter circuit filters the output current to provide the alternating current.

Power conversion device and control method thereof

The present invention discloses an apparatus for controlling an H-bridge DC-AC inverter, comprising an H-bridge DC-DC converting circuit capable of converting unstable DC power into stable DC power and a full-bridge DC-AC inverting circuit capable of inverting DC power output from the H-bridge DC-DC converting circuit into AC power. The H-bridge DC-DC converting circuit comprises: a first active switching element and a second active switching element; an inductor capable of storing energy; a first passive switching element and a second passive switching element; and a first capacitor and a second capacitor. The full-bridge DC-AC inverting circuit comprises: a third active switching element, a fourth active switching element, a fifth active switching element and a sixth active switching element; an output inductor; and an output capacitor.

Apparatus for controlling H-bridge DC-AC inverter

The present invention discloses a resonance circuit for use in an H-bridge DC-DC converter, the resonance circuit comprising: an H-bridge converter, capable of converting unstable DC power into stable DC power; a first resonance circuit, disposed on a buck side of the H-bridge converter for reducing the turn-off loss of a first active switching element; and a second resonance circuit, disposed on a boost side of the H-bridge converter for reducing the turn-on loss of a second active switching element. The H-bridge converter comprises: a first active switching element and a second active switching element; a coupled inductor with dual windings capable of storing energy; and a first passive switching element and a second passive switching element. The first resonance circuit comprises: a first inductor, a second inductor, a first auxiliary inductor, a first passive switching element, a second passive switching element and a first auxiliary capacitor, wherein the second inductor comprises a primary winding and an auxiliary winding. The second resonance circuit comprises: a second auxiliary inductor, a third active switching element, a first auxiliary inductor, a first passive switching element, a fourth passive switching element, a third capacitor, a fourth capacitor and a second auxiliary capacitor.

Resonance circuit for use in H-bridge DC-DC converter

A device for controlling a single-phase power conditioner for a renewable energy system is disclosed. The device comprises: a power system, providing alternating current (AC) utility power; a renewable energy system, using a natural resource so as to generate direct current (DC) power; a DC-to-DC converter, accepting the DC power generated by the renewable energy system so as to convert an input DC voltage of the DC power to an output DC voltage at a voltage level different from the DC input voltage; a grid-tied power conditioner, transforming voltage levels of the AC power and DC power; a controller, issuing a control signal for controlling the grid-tied power conditioner; and a load, consuming electricity by way of the grid-tied power conditioner.

Device for controlling single-phase power conditioner for renewable energy system

This present invention provides a bridge battery voltage equalizer to equalize the voltages of the serially connected battery strings, comprising at least one battery crossing over an energy-transferring circuit. A plurality of the energy-transferring circuits are interconnected in a bridge architecture. Each energy-transferring circuit having four nodes comprises a first semiconductor switch, a first diode, a second semiconductor switch, a second diode, and an inductor. One end of the first element switch is connected to a negative pole of the first diode thereto. A positive pole of the second diode is connected to one end of the second element switch thereto. The inductor is an energy storing element that crosses over between the negative pole of the first diode and the positive pole of the second diode.

Bridge battery voltage equalizer

An inverter circuit and a control circuit thereof for converting DC power from the renewable energy or distributed energy into AC power so as to be fed into the AC utility power system according to related regulations. The inverter circuit comprises a buck-boost inverter, a DC-to-AC inverter comprising two half-bridge inverters, and a by-pass passive switch coupled to an input DC voltage and the positive terminal of a first DC voltage. The inverter circuit of the present invention prevents the switching loss of an active switch and the energy loss of a coupled inductor by use of the by-pass passive switch and improves the efficiency of the inverter circuit by use of voltage feed-forward compensation.

Inverter circuit and control circuit thereof

A transformerless power conversion circuit is interconnected with an electric grid and converts an input DC power provided by a power generator into an AC power and feeding the AC power into the grid. The power conversion circuit includes a buck-boost converter converting the input DC power into two sets of DC power levels; and at least one half-bridge inverter converting the two sets of DC power levels into the AC power for feeding into the grid. The isolating transformer can be eliminated and the common ground problem for DC side and AC side is also solved. The power conversion circuit has significant improvement for device size, manufacture cost and conversion efficiency.
