An electric work machine () includes: a motor housing () having a tube part (C;C) and a bottom part (M;M); a brushless motor () having a stator (), which has a first contact surface (F;F), and a rotor () disposed in the stator; a baffle plate (); and an output shaft (). The stator includes a tube-shaped stator core () having a ring-shaped second contact surface (S;S) that is opposite of the first contact surface, and coils () wound on the stator core. The stator is held by the motor housing with the first contact surface in contact with the bottom part. A protruding part (S;S) of the baffle plate contacts the entire circumference of the second contact surface of the stator core and is fixed to the motor housing by three or more screws ().

Two 18V-type rechargeable batteries (and) are attached in series so as to allow a 36V-type tabletop cutting device (C) to be utilized. By utilizing the 18V batteries which are highly prevalent for electric tools, it is possible to use the 36V-type tabletop cutting device (C) as well as to reduce costs for the batteries.

Two 18V-type rechargeable batteries are attached in series so as to allow a 36V-type tabletop cutting device to be utilized. By utilizing the 18V batteries which are highly prevalent for electric tools, it is possible to use the 36V-type tabletop cutting device as well as to reduce costs for the batteries.

A cutting device may include a friction reducing device arranged in an operational force transmission path between an operation member and a fixing device that can fix a circular cutter to a rotational shaft of a cutting unit.
