A beach cleaner for recovering waste while moving in a towed state by a traction vehicle. A grating-like portion scoops up waste present in front of the beach cleaner as the beach cleaner is moved and a reticulate portion that is formed behind the grating-like portion to hold waste. As the beach cleaner is moved, waste present in front of the beach cleaner is scooped up onto the grating-like portion and is held with the reticulate portion formed behind the grating-like portion. Sand that is scooped up together with the waste is allowed to drop through the gaps in the grating-like portion.

A waste recovery station for a beach cleaner for recovering waste raked up by a beach cleaner. A waste recovery station for a beach cleaner includes a pair of station members arranged in parallel with each other through a required spacing. Each station member is provided with a pair of support posts with a foot such as, for example, a circular or square flat plate fixed to a lower end of each support post and is also provided with a guide member fixed to upper ends of the support posts. In the guide member, a longitudinally intermediate portion is formed as a horizontal portion and front and rear end sides are formed as slant portions and are bent downwardly at an obtuse angle. The rotor is mounted on a rotary shaft extending in the transverse direction of the beach cleaner. Waste is delivered rearwardly between the rotor and the grating-like portion. With travel of the beach cleaner, waste present in front of the beach cleaner is scooped up onto the grating-like portion and sand which is scooped up together with the waste is allowed to drop through gaps in the grating-like portion.

A beach cleaner for traveling on sandy soil while being towed by a traction vehicle for recovering waste such as empty cans scattered on the sandy soil. The beach cleaner is provided with a travel body. The travel body includes a plurality of longitudinal members arranged in a hurdle shape spacedly and extending in a travel direction and also having in a front portion thereof a portion to be pulled by the traction vehicle. A flat plate-like scraper for scraping up waste together with sand during travel of the beach cleaner is provided in the front portion of the travel body. A net for separating waste from a mixture of sand and waste scraped up by the scraper and for storing the thus-separated waste thereon is stretched on an upper surface of the travel body.

A beach cleaner for recovering waste while being towed by a traction vehicle. The beach cleaner includes a grating-like portion for scooping up waste present in front of the beach cleaner as the beach cleaner is moved. The grating-like portion is inclined so that the front side thereof assumes a lower position. A rotor is disposed on an upper side of the grating-like portion and for rotation so that a lower portion thereof moves rearwardly. The rotor is centered on a rotary shaft extending in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The rotor delivers the waste rearwardly between the rotor and the grating-like portion. A reticulate portion is formed behind the grating-like portion. The reticulate portion is inclined so that the rear side thereof is located at a lower position to hold waste. With movement of the beach cleaner, waste present in front of the beach cleaner is scooped up onto the grating-like portion and sand which is scooped up together with the waste is allowed to drop through gaps in the grating-like portion.

Waste scattered on a sandy beach is recovered in a clean and efficient manner by using a beach cleaner of a simple structure. In a first waste recovery step, a first beach cleaner A is allowed to travel on a sandy beach while being towed by a self-traveling vehicle R, whereby waste G such as string-like waste and other elongated waste is caught on rakes and conveyed to a waste recovery area. In a waste recovery station the first beach cleaner A is lifted to recover the waste. In a second waste recovery step, while a second beach cleaner is allowed to travel by the self-traveling vehicle, waste such as cans which have not been recovered in the first waste recovery step are scooped up in a waste conveying section, and are then collected in a waste collecting section by means of scraping blades and are recovered in a waste recovering area. In a third waste recovery step, while the first beach cleaner A is allowed to travel at a high speed by the self-traveling vehicle R, small waste such as cigarette butts popped up with sand which is scraped up by the scraper are allowed to drop and collected onto a waste catch net, and the waste thus collected is recovered in the waste recovery area.

Method for recovering waste in sandy beach

An overtop position is to be established in a hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission, and an increase of the maximum speed and the maintenance of power performance are to be made compatible with each other. In a hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission, the angle of inclination of a movable swash plate is controlled in such a manner that a target Ne is calculated from both RC (riding condition) and throttle valve opening, then the target Ne thus calculated is compared with an actual Ne to determine a rotational direction and DUTY of a control motor. The operation of the control motor is controlled in accordance with the thus-determined data and angle information on the angle of the movable swash plate provided from an angle sensor. In constant speed vehicular traveling, the change gear ratio is set at TOP ratio and a shift is made to OVERTOP when predetermined overtop control conditions ((1) the current change gear ratio should be at TOP position, (2) the degree opening of a throttle valve should exceed a threshold value determined according to a vehicular speed, and (3) the engine speed should exceed a preset value) are satisfied, thereby increasing the maximum vehicle speed.

Control method for hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission

A water pump for circulating the cooling water of an internal combustion engine, facilitates the formation of the water passage connecting the water pump to the cooling water passage in the cylinder block and can reduce manufacturing costs thereof. In an overhead valve type internal combustion engine, a camshaft is located and mounted in space surrounded by an upper portion of a cylinder and cylinder head.

An engine mount for a saddle-seat vehicle includes an upper engine mount operatively connected to the engine of the vehicle. The upper engine mount operatively connects the engine to the frame of the vehicle. At least one connector is provided for connecting the engine to the upper engine mount. The upper engine mount permits substantially free vertical movement of the engine relative to the frame. The upper engine mount includes an outer sleeve operatively connected to the frame. The upper engine mount further includes an elastic cushion arranged between the connector and the outer sleeve. The upper engine mount may further include an inner sleeve located within the elastic cushion for passage of the connector therethrough. The upper engine mount further includes a plate bracket operatively connected between the outer sleeve and the frame. The plate bracket may include lightening holes therein for decreasing the weight of the plate bracket while increasing flexibility of the plate bracket. The upper engine mount substantially reduces or eliminates the transmission of engine vibration to the seat and the rider of the vehicle.

A cooling device is mounted on an off-road vehicle including a vehicle frame having a pair of main pipe members spaced from each other transversely of the vehicle and extending longitudinally of the vehicle, the main pipe members having rear portions joined to each other, a central roll bar mounted on the main pipe members substantially centrally in their longitudinal direction, and a rear roll bar coupled between the rear ends of the main pipe members and the central roll bar, and an engine mounted on a lower portion of the vehicle frame rearwardly of the central roll bar. The cooling device includes a radiator positioned in a space surrounded by the main pipe members, the central roll bar, and the rear roll bar, and mounted on a support pipe extending and joined between the main pipe members. The cooling device also has a shroud attached to the rear surface of the radiator, and a fan motor fixedly accommodated in the shroud.
