A silicone-modified epoxy resin composition that offers a cured product excellent in low permeability to gas, mechanical strength, and heat resistance and transparency and further offers an optical semiconductor sealing material excellent in heat cycle resistance, and a cured epoxy resin product obtained by curing the composition. The epoxy resin composition comprises the following components (A) to (C):

Epoxy resin containing silicone-modified epoxy resin and polyvalent carboxylic acid compound, and cured product thereof

A silicone-modified epoxy resin which yields a cured product having low gas permeability and excellent strength; a composition of the silicone-modified epoxy resin; and an epoxy resin cured product obtainable by curing the composition, are provided. An epoxy resin represented by the following Formula (1):

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a silicone-modified epoxy resin which produces a cured product having excellent low gas permeability and strength; a composition of the resin; and an epoxy resin cured product obtainable by curing the composition. Disclosed is an epoxy resin represented by the following Formula (1):

An epoxy resin represented by the following formula (1)  wherein Rrepresents an alkylene group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms and optionally containing an ester or ether bond; Rrepresents a monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms; Rrepresents an oxygen atom or a phenylene group; k represents 1 to 10 as an average value; m represents an integer of 0 to 2; n represents 0 to 10 as an average value; and a plurality of groups R, R, R, k, or m present in the formula may be the same or different from each other.

Silicone-modified epoxy resin and composition and cured article thereof

A carrier gas supplied from a carrier gas source is injected from a carrier gas injection nozzle. Also, a fuel including a hydrocarbon-based liquid and supplied from a fuel source is supplied to a tip end of the carrier gas injection nozzle, whereby this fuel is atomized with the carrier gas injected from the carrier gas injection nozzle. Furthermore, an inlet of a reforming part that decomposes the atomized fuel and reforms the atomized fuel into a reducing gas including either or both of hydrogen and an oxygen-containing hydrocarbon is provided so as to face the carrier gas injection nozzle and the fuel supply nozzle, and a reducing gas supply nozzle that supplies the reducing gas discharged from an outlet of the reforming part is provided in an exhaust pipe.

Fuel reformer and exhaust gas purifier using the same

An exhaust purifying system includes a selective reduction catalyst provided on an exhaust passage of an engine, a fluid supply device for supplying a urea fluid to a section of the exhaust passage that is upstream of the selective reduction catalyst, a gas separator for separating source gas into oxygen-enriched gas and nitrogen-enriched gas, an ozone generator that includes an ozone producing space, to which the oxygen-enriched gas is introduced, and produces ozone from the introduced oxygen-enriched gas, an ozone supplier for supplying ozone to a section of the exhaust passage that is upstream of the selective reduction catalyst, a vortex tube for separating the nitrogen-enriched gas into cool air and warm air and discharging the cool air and the warm air, and a cooling device for cooling the ozone producing space by applying the cool air discharged from the vortex tube to the ozone generator.

Exhaust gas purification system and ozone generator

An oxidation catalyst, an ozone injection nozzle, a urea-based fluid injection nozzle, and a selective reduction catalyst are arranged in an exhaust pipe of an engine in this order towards its outlet. An exhaust gas purifier includes an air flow sensor that detects an air intake amount of the engine, a NOx sensor that detects a NOx concentration in the exhaust pipe, and first and second temperature sensors that detect inlet temperatures of the catalysts. An ozone generation device to which the ozone injection nozzle is connected includes a compressor, a dryer that dries compressed air, a flow rate sensor that detects a flow rate of this air, an ozone generator that converts this air into ozone, and an ozone concentration sensor that detects a concentration of the ozone. A controller controls the compressor and the ozone generator based on respective detection outputs of the respective sensors.

Exhaust gas purifier

A first selective reduction catalyst including a silver-based catalyst is provided in an exhaust pipe of an engine. An ozone generation device generates ozone by using oxygen in the atmosphere, and a hydrocarbon-based liquid supply device supplies a hydrocarbon-based liquid. A part of NO in the exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust pipe is oxidized to NOwith the ozone generated by the ozone generation device, and said NOis supplied to the first selective reduction catalyst. Also, a part of the hydrocarbon-based liquid supplied by the hydrocarbon-based liquid supply device is partially oxidized, with ozone generated by the ozone generation device, to an active reducing agent including an oxygen-containing hydrocarbon such as aldehyde, and this active reducing agent is supplied to the first selective reduction catalyst.

A selective catalytic reduction catalyst capable of reducing the NOin exhaust gas to Nis arranged in an exhaust pipe of an engine. Fluid feed has a fluid injecting nozzle facing the exhaust pipe on the exhaust gas upstream side from the selective catalytic reduction catalyst. The fluid feed is configured such that a urea fluid that functions as a reducing agent is fed with the selective catalytic reduction catalyst from the fluid injecting nozzle to the exhaust pipe. Ozone feed includes an ozone injecting nozzle that faces the exhaust pipe on the exhaust gas upstream side from the selective catalytic reduction catalyst, and on the exhaust gas upstream side or the exhaust gas downstream side from the fluid injecting nozzle. The ozone feed is configured such that ozone is fed from the ozone injecting nozzle to the exhaust pipe.

Exhaust gas purification device

A urea solution reformer and an exhaust gas purifier is configured to heat a carrier gas supplied from a carrier gas source by a carrier gas heating unit, to inject the carrier gas heated by the carrier gas heating unit from a carrier gas injecting nozzle, and to cause a urea solution to be supplied by a first urea solution supply nozzle to a tip end of the carrier gas injecting nozzle so that the urea solution is atomized by the carrier gas injected from the carrier gas injecting nozzle. Provided to face toward the carrier gas injecting nozzle is a catalyst unit for decomposing the atomized urea solution to reform it into an ammonia gas. An ammonia gas supply nozzle is attached to an exhaust pipe of an engine so as to supply the ammonia gas discharged from an outlet of the catalyst unit into the exhaust pipe.

Urea solution reformer and exhaust gas purifier using same

A first porous catalytic layer is provided in an exhaust passage, and a second porous catalytic layer is stacked on the exhaust-gas downstream-side surface of the first layer. The first layer includes an iron-zeolite catalyst to decrease 60% or more of NOx in the exhaust gas within an exhaust gas temperature range of 150-400&#xb0; C. The second layer includes one or more of a single catalyst, a mixed catalyst, and a complex oxide catalyst selected from iron-alumina, iron-zirconia, iron-ceria, and iron-titania, to decrease 60% or more of NOx in the exhaust gas within an exhaust gas temperature range of 400-700&#xb0; C. The first and second layers cooperatively exhibit catalytic activity to decrease 70% or more of NOx in the exhaust gas within an exhaust gas temperature range of 150 to 700&#xb0; C.

Selective reduction catalyst

A photosensitive resin (A) consisting substantially of a product obtained by reacting a polyester (c) which is a reaction product of a polyol (a) with a tetrabasic acid dianhydride (b) with a compound (d) having an ethylenically unsaturated group and an epoxy group in the molecule; an alkali-soluble photosensitive resin (AA) obtained by reacting the photosensitive resin (A) with a di- or tri-basic acid mono-anhydride (e); photosensitive resin compositions prepared by incorporating the above photosensitive resin with a diluent (XX), a crosslinking agent (B) and/or a photopolymerization initiator (C); products of curing of the compositions; and articles equipped with these products. The resins and resin compositions give cured articles which are suitable for the formation of optical waveguides and excellent in processability, transparency, developability, close adhesion, resistance to soldering heat, and so on.
