A stator includes a stator core having a plurality of teeth, an insulator, a plurality of coils, a first region in which distal ends of feeder lines are connected to each other, and a second region in which distal ends of neutral lines are connected to each other. The insulator has inner and outer walls spaced from each other in a radial direction. In a cross section at a gap between two adjacent coils, along a plane including an axis of the stator core, a center of gravity of the first region is positioned above a center of gravity of the second region in an axial direction. B&#x3c;A and C&#x3c;A, where a radial length of the first region is B, a radial length of the second region is C, and a radial length between the inner wall and the outer wall of the insulator is A.

Stator, motor, and compressor

A compressor includes a hermetic container, a compression mechanism section disposed in the hermetic container, and a motor disposed in the hermetic container to drive the compression mechanism section. The motor has a rotor and a stator disposed so as to surround an outer periphery of the rotor. The stator includes a stator core and oil passage grooves. The stator core has a hollow circular cylindrical section and a plurality of circumferentially arranged teeth protruding radially inward from an outer peripheral surface of the hollow circular cylindrical section. The oil passage grooves are located radially outside of the teeth. The oil passage grooves are formed by cutting an outer peripheral surface of the hollow circular cylindrical section.

Compressor

A compressor includes a casing and a motor disposed inside the casing. The motor is welded to the casing at a plurality of weld positions. The motor includes a core, a coil, at least one insulating member, recesses and a gap. The core has an annular back yoke portion, a plurality of tooth portions projecting radially inwardly from the back yoke portion and a slot formed between the tooth portions adjacent to each other. The coil is disposed in the slot. The insulating member is disposed in the slot to insulate the coil from the core. The recesses are formed in portions of the back yoke portion with each recess facing the slot. The gap is provided between the back yoke portion and the insulating member.

A compressor includes a casing and a motor disposed inside the casing. The motor is welded to the casing at a plurality of weld positions. The motor includes a core, a coil, at least one insulating member and a gap. The core has an annular back yoke portion, a plurality of tooth portions projecting radially inwardly from the back yoke portion and a slot formed between the tooth portions adjacent to each other. The coil is disposed in the slot. The insulating member is disposed in the slot to insulate the coil from the core. The gap is provided between the back yoke portion and the insulating member.

A stator includes a stator core, which has a plurality of stacked electromagnetic steel sheets, caulking portions configured to fix the plurality of electromagnetic steel sheets to each other, and a plurality of slot portions open toward an inner circumference side and arrayed along a circumferential direction. A number Q (an integer of 1 or greater) of the caulking portions, a number S of the slot portions and a number P of the poles satisfy Q&#x2266;S and Q=P&#xd7;n/2 (where n is an integer of 1 or greater). The stator is preferably part of a motor for a compressor.

Two magnets in a circumferential direction of a rotor are provided in each slot of the rotor. The two magnets are consistently pulled in a direction in which they are mutually separated by magnetism of a stator and fixed on inner surfaces on both sides of the slot in the circumferential direction of the rotor.

Motor and compressor

A compressor motor includes a rotor and a stator disposed radially outside of the rotor. The rotor includes a rotor core, and a plurality of magnets circumferentially arranged on the rotor core at center angles of equal intervals. The rotor core has an axial length L and a radial length D. Each of the magnets has a thickness t. L/D &#x3c;0.7, and t&#x3e;(1&#xd7;K&#xd7;N)/(L&#xd7;D&#xd7;P), where P is the number of poles, K is 100000, and N is a factor that depends on a compressor output.
