A seat slide for a vehicle, including a lower rail fixed to a floor of the vehicle, an upper rail fixed to a seat of the vehicle, a lock plate disposed within an inner space between the lower and upper rails and secured to the lower rail, a latch lever with a pawl which is disposed within the inner space and pivotally supported by the upper rail, and a position sensor for detecting a position of the upper rail relative to the lower rail, the position sensor being mounted to the upper rail such that a sensing portion thereof is disposed within the inner space and opposed to the lock plate.

Seat sliding apparatus

A seat sliding apparatus is constructed of a lower rail for mounting to a vehicle floor, an upper rail slidably received on the lower rail, a memory mechanism section, a lock member for locking the upper rail to the lower rail and a walk-in mechanism section for locking and unlocking movement of a vehicle seat in a forward-and-backward direction through operation of the memory mechanism section and the lock member. The memory mechanism section is assembled to at least one substrate so as to a unit.

A seat slide apparatus includes: a lock plate axially attached to a side surface of an upper rail of which a portion near a base portion is axially attached in a freely rotatable manner; a lock hole formed in a lower portion close to a free end of the lock plate; and a lock spring engaging the lock hole with a lock tooth of a lower rail by using an urging force. In the construction, the engagement of the lock hole with a lock tooth prevents a seat main body mounted to the upper rail from moving in a longitudinal direction and canceling the engagement makes the seat main body freely move in the longitudinal direction. A lock plate guiding long hole is formed in the upper rail. A lock spring locking means is provided on the lock plate at a portion corresponding to the lock plate guiding long hole in such a manner that the lock spring locking means is inserted into the lock plate guiding long hole and projects from the lock plate guiding long hole so as to lock the lock spring. Furthermore, a lock plate holding means is provided at a position corresponding to the free end portion of the lock plate in such a manner as to slidably hold the free end side of the lock plate.

Seat slide apparatus

A novel seat slide apparatus comprising a lower rail mounted on the vehicle body and an upper rail having a substantially inverted-T section is disclosed, which is formed by folding a single plate member. The upper rail includes a lower upper flange with the lower surface thereof slidably supported on the lower rail through at least a roll member and a seat coupler extending upward substantially from the central portion along the width of the upper flange and adapted to be mounted on the vehicle seat.
