The controlling of the power conversion process includes, when output instruction content for iteratively issuing an instruction is determined, calculating the second requested power obtained by correcting currently requested power based on a difference between previously requested power and the first actual output power.

A vehicle control device includes a processor configured to execute computer-readable instructions to perform. The processor is configured to acquiring a state of a first battery and a state of a second battery having lower capacity and higher power than the first battery, calculating a first upper power limit value based on the state of the first battery, calculating a second upper power limit value based on the state of the second battery, and calculating a power output ratio between amounts of electric power to be supplied from the first battery and the second battery to a motor that outputs motive power for traveling based on the first upper power limit value and the second upper power limit value, and controlling electric power to be output to the motor based on a traveling mode of a vehicle, a maximum driving force in the motor, and the power output ratio. The controlling of the electric power includes changes the maximum amount of electric power based on whether or not the traveling mode is a first traveling mode in which traveling performance has higher priority than that in another traveling mode.

Power supply system

A power supply system includes: a first power circuit having a first battery, a second power circuit having a second battery, a voltage converter which converts voltage between the first power circuit and the second power circuit, a power converter which converts power between the first power circuit and the drive motor, a power control unit which controls charge/discharge of the first and second batteries by operating the voltage converter and the power converter, a first voltage parameter acquisition unit which calculates an effective value for the closed circuit voltage of the first battery as a first voltage parameter, a second voltage parameter acquisition unit which calculates the static voltage of the second battery as a second voltage parameter, in which the power control unit causes power to discharge from the second battery so that the second voltage parameter becomes no more than the first voltage parameter.

A power supply system includes power circuit which connects first and second batteries with a drive motor, and a management ECU which controls transfer of power between the batteries and the drive motor. The management ECU limits the output power of the second battery to no more than a second output upper limit, during combined output travel which drives the drive motor by way of the combined output of the first and second batteries. In addition, the management ECU sets the second output upper limit to a second maximum output of the second battery in the case of the first SOC of the first batter being greater than a remaining amount warning threshold, and sets the second output upper limit to a range extending upper limit which is smaller than the second maximum output, in the case of the first SOC being less than the remaining amount warning threshold.

In a drive controller for a vehicle including: a drive source configured to output a drive force to a first axle serving as one of front and rear wheel axles; an electric motor configured to output a drive force to a second axle serving as the other of the front and rear wheel axles; a one-way power transmission device disposed on a power transmission pathway between the second axle and the electric motor so as to transmit a power drive force from the electric motor to the second axle; a two-way power transmission device that transmits a rotation power from the second axle to the electric motor or transmits the power drive force and a regeneration drive force from the electric motor to the second axle, the drive controller includes: a first detector that detects a speed of the vehicle or a rotation speed of the second axle; a target rotation speed determination section that determines a target rotation speed of the electric motor based on the speed of the vehicle or the rotation speed of the second axle; a second detector that detects a rotation speed of the electric motor; and a controller that controls the electric motor such that the rotation speed of the electric motor is synchronized with the target rotation speed and that controls an output torque of the electric motor or an activation of the two-way power transmission device, when the electric motor starts power drive or regeneration drive while the vehicle is traveling by the drive force from the drive source.

Drive controller for vehicle

This is a connecting device (,) to be interposed between left and right wheels (,L,,R) of a vehicle. There are provided: a differential gear (,) having a first rotational element (,), and second and third rotational elements (,). The third rotational element (,) is coupled to one (,R) of the rear wheels via the first power transmission system (,), and the second rotational element (,) is coupled to the other (,L) of the rear wheels via second and third power transmission systems (,). The gear ratios of both the first and second power transmission systems (,) are identically set, and the gear ratio of the third power transmission system (,) is set so as to be opposite in direction to, but be equal in absolute value to, the above-mentioned gear ratio.

Coupling device between left and right wheels of vehicle

This is a connecting device (7) to be interposed between left and right wheels (5L, 5R) of a vehicle. It enables to perform a starting assistance control, a cornering control to improve the cornering performance by positively generating a difference rotation between left and right wheels, and a differential limiting control for restricting the difference rotation between the left and right wheels. There are provided: a differential gear (8) having a first rotational element (8a), and second and third rotational elements (8b, 8c) so arranged that, when one of them rotates in the forward direction relative to the first rotational element (8a), the other thereof rotates in the reverse direction; and a driving source (9) connected to the first rotational element (8a). One of the second and third rotational elements, e.g., the third rotational element (8c) is coupled to one (5R) of the rear wheels via the first power transmission system (10), and the second rotational element (8b) is coupled to the other (5L) of the rear wheels via second and third power transmission systems (11, 12) which are selectively established via a switching means (13). The gear ratios of both the first and second power transmission systems (10, 11) are identically set, and the gear ratio of the third power transmission system (12) is set so as to be opposite in direction to, but be equal in absolute value to, the above-mentioned gear ratio.

A process for controlling a yaw moment in a vehicle by generating a braking force in one of the left and right wheels of the vehicle and by generating a driving force in the other wheel. When a vehicle is accelerated during the turning thereof, grounding loads of rear wheels are increased in order to generate a yaw moment in a direction opposite from a turning direction. However, such yaw moment can be eliminated in order to enhance the turning performance by bringing one of the hydraulic clutches into an engaged state with a torque which is proportional to a product of longitudinal and lateral accelerations. Consequently, a braking force and a driving force in inner and outer wheels during turning of the vehicle, respectively, are generated. When the vehicle is decelerated during turning thereof, grounding loads of front wheels are increased to a yaw moment in the same direction as the turning direction. However, such yaw moment can be eliminated in order to enhance the high-speed stable performance by bringing one of the hydraulic clutches into an engaged state with a torque which is proportional to longitudinal and lateral accelerations. Thus, when the vehicle is accelerated or decelerated during the turning thereof, the generation of an undesired yaw moment can be avoided in order to insure the turning performance and the high-speed stable performance.

Process for controlling yaw moment in vehicle

A gearbox and two hydraulic clutches are disposed between left and right follower wheels of a vehicle. The torque transfer capacity of the hydraulic clutches is controlled to effect the distribution of a torque between the follower wheels. In a low lateral acceleration range, the torque transfer capacity is increased in accordance with an increase in lateral acceleration to enhance the turning performance and the high-speed stability performance. In a high lateral acceleration range, the torque transfer capacity is decreased in accordance with an increase in lateral acceleration, such that it does not exceed a largest frictional force of a wheel acting as an inner wheel during turning movement of the vehicle, thereby insuring a cornering force.

Torque distribution control system in vehicle

A swash-plate plunger-type hydraulic device has a cylinder block with a plurality of plungers slidably fitted in cylinder bores, a swash plate confronting one end of the cylinder block, and a distribution valve plate slidably held against the other end of the cylinder block. The cylinder block has an odd number of circularly arrayed connecting ports communicating with the cylinder bores and opening at the other end thereof. The distribution valve plate has inlet and outlet ports. A swash-plate plunger-type hydraulic device has a cylinder block with a plurality of plungers slidably fitted in cylinder bores, a swash plate confronting one end of the cylinder block, and a distribution valve plate slidably held against the other end of the cylinder block.
