The invention provides a patch and a patch preparation having an adhesive layer with a high adhesive force, wherein the hydrophobic adhesive layer does not bloom even when an organic fluid component having high polarity is contained therein. The patch contains a support and an adhesive layer on at least one surface of the support, wherein the adhesive layer contains a synthetic rubber having a viscosity average molecular weight of 500,000-1,600,000, an organic fluid component having high polarity, a tackifier, and magnesium aluminometasilicate. In the patch preparation, the above-mentioned adhesive layer further contains a drug.

Patch and patch preparation

The present invention provides a patch package structure, which includes: a package including a first sheet material which is planar and a second sheet material which has been molded, the first and second sheet materials being sealed together in peripheral parts thereof, and a patch disposed in the package, in which the patch contains a backing, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer laminated on at least one side of the backing, and a release liner which protects a pressure-sensitive adhesive surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; the second sheet material has been molded so as to have a protrudent part in at least a substantially central area thereof, the protrudent part having a planar outer shape larger than a planar outer shape of the release liner and having at least one recessed part; d is not smaller than T, in which d is the minimum gap distance between the inner surface of the first sheet material and the inner surface of the second sheet material at the recessed part and T is a thickness of the patch; and, at the boundary between the sealed part where the first and second sheet materials are sealed together and an unsealed part, the outer surface of the second sheet material rises at an obtuse angle.

Patch package structure

The invention provides a patch and a patch preparation having an adhesive layer with a high adhesive force, wherein the hydrophobic adhesive layer does not bloom even when an organic fluid component having high polarity is contained therein. The patch contains a support and an adhesive layer on at least one surface of the support, wherein the adhesive layer contains a synthetic rubber having a viscosity average molecular weight of 1,700,000-6,500,000, an organic fluid component having high polarity, a tackifier, and magnesium aluminometasilicate. In the patch preparation, the above-mentioned adhesive layer further contains a drug.

The invention is intended to provide an adhesive patch which contains a drug except bisoprolol and which effectively inhibits the occurrence of oozing out or sticking out of the adhesive layer components from the exposed area of the adhesive layer of the adhesive patch during storage as well as the occurrence of oozing out of the drug from the adhesive layer thereby preventing the reduction in drug content. The support, the release liner and the adhesive layer constituting the adhesive patch each are formed to have a rectangular planar shape and the entire adhesive patch are formed to have a rectangular planar shape, and a protrudent part is formed on the support-side surface of the adhesive patch at a corner thereof. In addition, the adhesive patch may be formed to have a middle part and a peripheral part, and the protrudent part may be formed at a corner of the rectangular middle part. Further, between the adjacent at least two protrudent parts, a connecting built-up part may be provided in which the thickness of the adhesive patch is smaller than the thickness of the adhesive patch in the protrudent part. In case where the release liner has a split part, the split part is made so as not to traverse the protrudent part.

Adhesive skin patch

The present invention provides to a patch and a patch preparation having low stretchability, which can be continuously adhered to the skin for a long time without undesirable detachment and marked falling off from the skin due to various factors during adhesion, and specifically provides a low stretchable patch and a patch preparation containing a support and an adhesive layer formed on one surface of the support, wherein a ratio P of the total length W (mm) of curved sections of a planar outer shape of the patch to the total length S (mm) of straight-line sections of the planar outer shape of the patch (W/S) is not more than 1.22, and, when the curved sections are approximated by a circular arc, the radius R (mm) of the circular arc is not less than 0.5 mm.

The present invention provides a water resistant patch preparation having a central part and a peripheral part, which preparation is comprised of a support and an adhesive layer comprising a drug, which is formed on one surface of the support, wherein at least a part of a lateral end of the adhesive layer in the peripheral part is located inside a lateral end of the support, and the adhesive layer in the peripheral part has a thickness smaller than that of the adhesive layer in the central part.

Water resistant patch preparation

An adhesive pharmaceutical preparation which has a less irritation to the skin surface, keeps excellent stability of bisoprolol in the preparation, and allows continuous administration of a pharmacologically effective amount of bisoprolol into the living body, is provided. The adhesive preparationcomprises a support, an adhesive layerlaminated on one surface of the support. The adhesive layeris characterized by containing bisoprolol, polyisobutylene, tackifier, and an organic liquid ingredient compatible to polyisobutylene and tackifier. Thus, an adhesive pharmaceutical preparation which has a good adhesiveness with less irritation to the skin and which gives almost no pain at peel-off or removal from the skin surface with leaving almost no paste, can be provided. In addition, bisoprolol is very stably maintained in the preparation and a pharmacologically effective amount of bisoprolol can be administered continuously into the living body through the skin surface.

The present invention relates to a percutaneous administration device of bisoprolol, which includes a backing; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer containing bisoprolol, which is laminated on one surface of the backing, wherein the maximum value of a release rate of bisoprolol during a period of from immediately after the application on skin until a lapse of 24 hours is 30 &#x3bc;g/cm/hr or less; and wherein the release rate of bisoprolol at the time of a lapse of 24 hours after the application on skin is 10 &#x3bc;g/cm/hr or less. The percutaneous administration device of the present invention is reduced in the skin irritation during the application, especially at the time of peeling, and is capable of persistently administrating a therapeutically or preventively effective amount of bisoprolol into a living body.

In the adhesive pharmaceutical preparation of the invention containing bisoprolol, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is laminated on one side of the backing. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer contains a branched monoalcohol having from 12 to 28 carbon atoms, a free base of bisoprolol and a polyisobutylene pressure-sensitive adhesive. Accordingly, compatibility of the polyisobutylene pressure-sensitive adhesive with the free base of bisoprolol can be specifically increased. As a result, not only it becomes possible to increase blending amount of the free base of bisoprolol but also bleed of the free base of bisoprolol from the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can be suppressed and, what is more, the pressure-sensitive adhesion characteristics sufficient from the practical point of view can be obtained.

The present invention relates to a patch package structure which includes: a package including a first sheet material and a second sheet material, the first and second sheet materials being sealed together in peripheral parts thereof; and a patch disposed in the package, the patch contains a backing, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer laminated on at least one side of the backing, and a release liner which protects a pressure-sensitive adhesive surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the release liner having on a surface thereof a cut line supporting a peel-off of the release liner at the time of using the patch, the patch being disposed in the package so that the release liner faces the inner surface of the first sheet material, the first sheet material having a first region in which the inner surface of the first sheet material faces the cut line of the release liner, the first sheet material having in the first region a minimum first distance between the inner surface of the first sheet material and the surface of the release liner, and the inner surface of the first sheet material being spaced from the surface of the release liner at the minimum first distance in the first region.

A blister package comprises a blister and a cover sheet, and the blister has a groove formed in an outer edge section of the blister. The outer edge section of the blister includes an outer region and an inner region, the groove is formed on the inward side of the outer region, and the inner region is formed on the inward side of the groove. The peel strength between the outer region and the cover sheet is greater than the tear strength of the cover sheet, and the peel strength between the inner region and cover sheet is smaller than the tear strength of the cover sheet.

Blister package

A patch package structure which includes: a package including a first sheet material which is planar and a second sheet material which has been molded, a peripheral area of the first sheet material having been sealed to a peripheral area of the second sheet material to constitute the package, and a patch disposed in the package; in which the patch includes a backing, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on at least one side of the backing, and a release liner which protects the pressure-sensitive adhesive surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the release liner having a weakening line for assisting a removal of the release liner; and in which the second sheet material has specific first protrudent part, second protrudent part, third protrudent part and elevated part in a central area thereof except the peripheral area thereof.

The main object of the present invention is to provide a patch package structure capable of stably retaining the physiologically active ingredient in a patch during preservation of the patch. This object can be achieved by employing the following constitution. To be specific, the present invention is a patch package structure including a patchand a packaging memberholding the patch, wherein the patchincludes a supportand an adhesive layerformed on at least one surface of the support, the packaging memberincludes a first package, the first packageincluding an acrylonitrile resin layer, a moisture-absorbing layerformed on the acrylonitrile resin layer, and a moisture impermeable layerformed on the moisture-absorbing layer, and the acrylonitrile resin layeris provided on the proximal side of the patch

The main object of the present invention is to provide a patch package structure including a patch containing a physiologically active ingredient and a package housing the patch, which is capable of stably retaining the physiologically active ingredient in the patch during preservation.
