A vehicle having a rear fender disposed above a rear wheel and formed of a plate member having an upward projecting shape, includes a cover member which covers a portion of a lower open part of the rear fender on a lateral side of the rear wheel. The rear fender and the cover member are provided as separate bodies to keep the moldability of the rear fender favorable. The mud-guard performance can be enhanced by covering part of the lower open part of the rear fender by the cover member. Such configuration provides a vehicle in which the mud-guard performance can be enhanced while keeping the moldability of a rear fender favorable.

A seat support structure for a saddle-riding vehicle having a rider's seat and a pillion seat separate from and disposed posterior to the rider's seat includes a bracket disposed on the rider's seat which is fixed to a vehicle body, the bracket providing a coupling between the rider's seat and the pillion seat, wherein the bracket is detachably inserted in a front portion of the pillion seat when the pillion seat is mounted to the vehicle body, and the pillion seat has a rear portion removably secured to the vehicle body.

A fuel tank structure of straddle type vehicle in which a wide space below the fuel tank can be secured and a clearance portion for avoiding the fuel tank interfering with the vehicle body side can be downsized. The fuel tank is supported on and disposed above a main frame with a fuel pump being installed to a bottom plate of the rear portion of the fuel tank. A maintenance space formed below the fuel pump when the rear portion of the fuel tank is lifted in a state wherein an installation portion of a front bracket installed to the front lower portion of the fuel tank is rotatably supported on the main frame. The fuel tank is configured such that the installation portion of the lower end of the front bracket is disposed below the bottom plate, simultaneously, and is installed to the main frame with a bolt.

Fuel tank structure of straddle type vehicle

In a motorcycle including a vehicle body frame, an engine supported by the vehicle body frame, an air cleaner box arranged above of the engine, and an ABS module capable of decompressing brake pressures of front and rear wheels, the ABS module is arranged at a position above the engine, rearward of the air cleaner box, in proximity to the left inlet port and a right inlet port of the air cleaner box for sucking outside air, and in suction routes of the left inlet port and the right inlet port. Therefore, a cooling effect with respect to an ABS module to suppress a thermal influence on the ABS module can be secured.

A fuel tank from which fuel is supplied to an engine includes: overhang portions that project outward from left and right main frames in the vehicle width direction; and fuel pipes that pass the inside of the fuel tank from an area in the vicinity of a fuel filler port, and extend downward from the overhang portions arranged outside the pair of main frames in the vehicle width direction. The fuel pipes are constituted of a drain pipe through which spilled filling fuel or rain water collected around the fuel filler port is discharged to the outside of the fuel tank, and a breather pipe which makes the inside of the fuel tank and atmosphere communicate with each other.

Saddle-ride-type vehicle

To easily prevent flapping of a cover attached to a vehicle such as a motor cycle. A storage box is provided on a lateral side of a vehicle frame. The storage box includes a storage box main body having an opening facing an outside of a vehicle, and a lid member which is openable and closable to cover the opening. A side cover which covers a lateral side of the vehicle is provided in front of the storage box. A rear edge portion of the side cover extends to an outside edge portion of the storage box main body, and is fixed to the outside edge portion.

In a vehicle including a left trunk and a right trunk in a rear portion of the vehicle, a rear fender continuous with respective rear faces of the left and right trunks is provided, and a plane formed of the respective rear faces of the left and right trunks and the rear fender is provided with negative pressure correction holes.

A seat height adjustment apparatus includes a stepped portion provided on a bottom plate of a seat and formed in a stepped configuration, an adjust member removably attached to the stepped portion and having a lower face placed on a seat rail for adjusting the height between the seat rail and the seat, and vehicle body side fixing members provided on the seat rail for abutting with an abutting portion to fix the adjust member. Upon seat height adjustment, adjustment of the seat height can be carried out simply only by replacing the adjust member to an arbitrary stage of the stepped portion. Further, since the seat height adjustment apparatus is formed from the three parts of the stepped portion, adjust member and vehicle body side fixing member, the number of parts is reduced.

A saddle-type vehicle is provided with an impact member for deflecting a front wheel sideways in the event of a collision. The saddle-type vehicle includes a body frame having a head pipe for rotatably supporting a steering shaft for the front wheel, main frames extending rearwards from the head pipe, and an engine operatively mounted to the main frames. The impact member is disposed in front of a lower portion of the engine. The impact member includes a support part, which extends forwardly from the engine, and a load-receiving deflector plate mounted to the support part and which is inclined away from a vehicle width direction.

A lock device capable of locking, in a closed state, a lid member for each of side trunks provided on both sides of the vehicle body rear portion of a motorcycle. The lock device includes a plurality of catch mechanisms with catches that are swingably supported by a trunk main portion via a plurality of associated pivots, respectively. The lock device so configured expands the possibility of the layout of a plurality of catch mechanisms.

A storage box structure includes a pair of left and right seat cowls for covering sides of a vehicle body frame under a seat. Storage boxes are formed by the seat cowls so as to protrude outwardly in the direction of the vehicle width and provided with openable and closable lids on the outsides of a vehicle. The storage boxes include a projection projecting toward the center of the vehicle body. The projection includes an opening which is in communication with the interior of the storage box and is fitted at least to the projection of the other storage box. The opening brings the interiors of the left and right storage boxes into communication with each other. The storage box structure so configured achieves a reduction of the number of components, improvement of rigidity, and improvement of mounting accuracy.
