The present invention provides a production method and an apparatus for double curve formed products for producing double curve formed products easily at low cost, stabilizing an accuracy in configurational dimension of the double curve formed product and improving an accuracy in assembly thereof, the production apparatus being of a simple construction apparatus. Around an inner die in which an end portion of a treatment product is engaged, an outer die in which the other end portion of the treatment product is engaged is rotated relative to each other at predetermined angles. At this time, a side face of the treatment product is curved so that it is successively folded back. By a deformation reaction caused at this time, the side face of this curved portion is pressed against a processing curved surface of the inner die such that the side face is deformed along the processing curved surface. Another side face of the treatment product is pressed against a processing curved surface of the outer die such that it is deformed along the processing curved surface. As a result, in the treatment product, one curved surface is formed along the processing curved surface of the outer die and the other curved surface which is continuous from the one curved surface which is folded back is formed along the processing curved surface of the inner die.

Production method and apparatus for double curve formed products

An outer end portion of a webbing is guided in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a tongue plate provided on said outer end portion is engaged with a buckle device secured to the rear portion of a roof side, whereby the webbing is fastened to an occupant. A release plate movable a certain distance with respect to the tongue plate is moved forwards in the vehicle by drive means, whereby the tongue plate is moved forwards in the vehicle after the tongue plate is disengaged from the buckle device, so that the webbing can be separated from the occupant to automatically unfasten the webbing from the occupant.

Passive seatbelt system

Automatically fastening seatbelt system, wherein an anchor plate engaged with one of restraining webbings is connected through a support device to a driving force transmitting member and made movable along a guide rail, whereby the webbings are automatically fastened to an occupant, a release device is provided at a predetermined position in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail, and the operation of the support device is released by the operation of the release device to release the anchor plate from the guide rail.

Automatically fastening seatbelt system

An automatic seatbelt system which has a flexible tape extending continuously along a vehicle body form a roof side portion through a center pillar to a door so as to move a shoulder webbing connected to the roof side portion and a lab webbing connected to the door at the same time by a single driving sprocket wheel in response to an occupant entering or leaving a vehicle. The tape has a plurality of openings along the longitudinal direction thereof and the sprocket wheel is meshed with the tape by the openings. A shoulder guide rail is provided along the roof side portion of the vehicle body, within which a shoulder guide member guiding the shoulder webbing and connected to the trape is slidably received. A lap guide rail is provided along the door, within which a lap guide member guiding the lap webbing and connected to the tape is slidably received. When the sprocket wheel rotates, both shoulder and lap seatbelt webbings are simultaneously moved through the tape toward either the front side of the vehicle to provide an enough space for the occupant to enter the vehicle, or the rear side of the vehicle to place the webbings over the occupant at a seat.

Automatic seatbelt system

An automatic seatbelt system which has a flexible tape extending continuously along a vehicle body form a roof side portion through a center pillar to a door so as to move a shoulder webbing connected to the roof side portion and a lap webbing connected to the door at the same time by a single driving sprocket wheel in response to an occupant entering or leaving a vehicle. The tape has a plurality of openings along the longitudinal direction thereof and the sprocket wheel is meshed with the tape by the openings. The tape extends continuously between the vehicle body and vehicle door and has a stepped portion substantially extending in a vertical direction, for example, a direction which is aligned with the rotation center of door hinges so as to twist itself around the longitudinal center thereof during opening or closing the door. When the sprocket wheel rotates, both shoulder and lap seatbelt webbings are simultaneously moved through the tape toward either the front side of the vehicle to provide an enough space for the occupant to enter the vehicle, or the rear side of the vehicle to place the webbings over the occupant at a seat.

A lock lever is pivotally supported by a frame secured to the vehicle body, the intermediate portion of a webbing for restraining an occupant is wound around a contact member secured to said lock lever, and, when the tension of the webbing is increased in an emergency, said lock lever turns whereby lock members clamp the intermediate portion of the webbing to lock same, so that the occupant can be restrained. Particularly, the contact member, during normal condition of the vehicle, is supported by a small diameter portion to smoothly guide the webbing, and, in an emergency of the vehicle, comes into contact at a large diameter portion thereof with said lock lever to receive a resisting force to the rotation, so that the portion of the webbing locked by the lock members can be decreased in tension.

Webbing lock mechanism

A seatbelt retractor including a means for preventing excessive tightness of the seatbelt during use. The seatbelt retractor including a frame, a seatbelt take-up spool having a torque applied thereto in a wind-up direction and rotatably coupled to the frame, at least one ratchet gear coupled to the take-up spool, a pawl pivotally coupled to the frame and engageable with the pawl gear such that the spool is prevented from winding up when the pawl engages with the ratchet gear, and a means for disengaging the pawl from the ratchet gear when the seatbelt is completely wound on the spool or so long as the seatbelt is being pulled out from the wound up state and for engaging the pawl with the ratchet gear when the seatbelt is being utilized.

Device for preventing excessive tightness of seatbelts

An automatic safety belt apparatus for restraining the occupant sitting on the seat of a motor vehicle, which comprises a plurality of elements which operatively cooperate so that, when the door of a vehicle is closed from an open position, the safety belt automatically position itself around both the hip and the shoulders of the occupant in a restraining manner. Upon releasing the belt member or opening the vehicle door, the safety belt apparatus operates in an opposite manner permitting the occupant to leave the vehicle unobstructed.

A seat belt retracting apparatus having a spool mounted for rotation on a frame member and adapted to have a seat belt wound thereon, a pair of locking wheels having a plurality of locking teeth and fixedly mounted on the spool, a locking plate engageable with the locking teeth of the locking wheels when the seat belt is protracted and engages the body of a passenger thereby locking the seat belt against further protraction, and a retracting coil spring normally urging the spool in the retracting direction. In the apparatus, lock preventing means are provided for cooperation with the locking wheels through a driving connection between them so that the locking wheels can be temporarily prevented from the locked position and can protract over some pre-selected steps in the state in which the seat belt is engaged on the passenger's body.
