This gas analysis device comprises: a laser light source which irradiates a gas to be measured with laser light; a laser control means which controls the laser light source so that the wavelength of the laser light is changed in each prescribed wavelength band; a light detection means which photoelectrically converts the laser light that have passed through the gas to be measured and outputs an electrical signal; and an interpretation means which analyzes, on the basis of the electrical signal, an absorption wavelength of the gas to be measured. In the gas analysis device, the laser control means controls the laser light source so that the intensity of the laser light changes into a shape (for example, a rectangular shape or a trapezoidal shape) having at least a substantially constant flat part in a prescribed time period, and the wavelength of the laser light changes in the time period.

A concentration measurement method performed in a concentration measurement device including an electric unit having a light source and a photodetector, a fluid unit having a measurement cell through which a gas flows, and a processing circuit for calculating a concentration of the gas based on an intensity of a light passing through the measurement cell. The concentration measurement method includes a step of determining an absorption coefficient of the measurement gas using a reference absorption coefficient determined in association with the reference gas and a correction factor associated with the measurement gas, and a step of obtaining a concentration of the measurement gas flowing in the measurement cell using the absorption coefficient of the measurement gas. When the absorption peak wavelength of the measurement gas is longer than the peak wavelength of the light source, a reference gas having a longer absorption peak wavelength than the peak wavelength of the light source is used, and when the absorption peak wavelength of the measurement gas is shorter than the peak wavelength of the light source, a reference gas having a shorter absorption peak wavelength than the peak wavelength of the light source is used.

Oil-degradation detecting apparatus

An exhaust gas analyzer capable of real-time analysis of the concentration, temperature, and the like of an exhaust gas component in a cross-section of an exhaust path in a spot-wise manner reduces analysis cost. The infrared laser light R is emitted via the optical fiber () into the through-hole (), travels across the exhaust path, and is then received by the detector ().

An exhaust gas analysis method comprises applying a laser beam to the exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine, receiving the laser beam that has passed through the exhaust gas, and measuring the concentration of any of the components contained in the exhaust gas based on the received laser beam. The exhaust gas analysis method further comprises detecting the absorption spectrum of the laser beam absorbed in the exhaust gas by using the received laser beam, calculating the concentration of the specific gas component by using the absorption spectrum, calculating the temperature of the exhaust gas by using the absorption spectrum, calculating the pressure of the exhaust gas by using the absorption spectrum, correcting the calculated concentration of the component contained in the exhaust gas by using the calculated temperature, correcting the concentration by using the calculated pressure, and outputting the true concentration value.
