A sheet storage device includes first and second frames, a cover, and a torque retention mechanism that includes a shaft to rotate in conjunction with pivoting of the cover, and generates a resistance torque against rotation of the shaft when the cover pivots to a closed position. The torque retention mechanism includes a first torque retention mechanism and a second torque retention mechanism. A shaft of the first torque retention mechanism is attached to a first support part disposed on a first frame side, while a shaft of the second torque retention mechanism is attached to a second support part disposed on a second frame side.

Sheet storage device and image formation system including same

A sheet conveyance device includes a cover member, a sheet stacking tray, a control portion, and an optical sensor. The cover member has a stationary rib that enters and retreats from an optical path along with opening and closing of the cover member, and a swingable rib that enters and retreats from the optical path along with up-down movement of the sheet on the sheet stacking tray. The control portion, based on an amount of received light incident on the optical sensor, detects an opened state and a closed state of the cover member and an up-down position of the sheet stacked on the sheet stacking tray.

Sheet conveyance device and image forming system

A sheet storage device includes a housing, a sheet stacking tray, a shaft, a suspension mechanism, a driving device, and a drive transmission portion. The suspension mechanism includes a plurality of winding pulleys and a plurality of wires. The drive transmission portion includes a plurality of driving gears and a plurality of driven gears. The plurality of winding pulleys permit the engagement positions of the plurality of driven gears with respect to the plurality of driving gears to be changed in the circumferential direction of the shaft. The drive transmission portion changes the respective engagement positions of the plurality of driven gears and thereby changes the respective relative positions of the fixing portions of the plurality of winding pulleys in the rotation direction. This permits adjustment of the respective unwound lengths of the plurality of wires.

Sheet storage device and image forming system therewith

A cushion member includes a tubular portion and an abutting portion. The tubular portion has, in its inside, a hollow that extends in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction that is a longitudinal direction of a storage portion. The tubular portion can be elastically deformed by an external force in the first direction. The abutting portion abuts on, in the first direction, a portion of the cover portion other than the lid. An evasive cut portion is formed at a portion of the tubular portion that faces the lid of the cover portion in the first direction, the evasive cut portion being a cut that is cut into from an end of the tubular portion in the second direction.

In an image forming apparatus, a reservation managing unit receives a reservation request from a mobile terminal device of a user, and registers reservation information. The reservation information indicates (a) a usage time zone specified by the received reservation request and (b) the mobile terminal device. The operation restriction unit changes an operation control mode from an operation permission mode to an operation prohibition mode if (a) the mobile terminal device detected by a terminal detecting unit is a mobile terminal device of a reserving user who reserved as the usage time zone a current or a next time zone and (b) there are no currently using users. The operation permission mode is a status where an operation of an unspecified user can be received, and the operation prohibition mode is a status where a user operation is prohibited until a release operation of the reserving user.

Image forming apparatus

An image processing apparatus includes a document table, an image reading portion, a cover portion, a presser sheet, and a sheet winding portion. The presser sheet is provided on the cover portion, and contacts the document on the document table when the cover portion is positioned at the closing position. The sheet winding portion allows a first portion of the presser sheet to extend along the document table while holding a second portion of the presser sheet in a wound state. The sheet winding portion can feed the second portion when an external force is applied to the first portion. In the cover portion, a retreat space is formed so that the first portion of the presser sheet and a portion of the second portion fed from the sheet winding portion can retreat into the retreat space.

Image processing apparatus

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a first belt transporting unit for transporting a recording medium by absorbing and supporting, a recording unit disposed to face the first belt transporting unit to eject ink to the recording medium, a second belt transporting unit disposed adjacent to the first belt transporting unit on a downstream side in a transport direction to transport the recording medium by absorbing and supporting, and a transport guiding unit disposed to face a transporting surface of the second transporting unit. A surface of the transport guiding unit facing the second transporting unit is provided with a plurality of ribs extending in the transport direction. Protruding heights of the ribs with respect to the transporting surface of the second transporting unit are gradually decreased from an outermost rib to an innermost rib in a width direction of the recording medium.

Inkjet recording apparatus

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a first belt transport section having a first transport belt, a recording section, a second belt transport section having a second transport belt, and a guide mechanism provided in an upstream-side end part of the second belt transport section. The guide mechanism includes a guide support member and a biasing member. The guide support member has formed therein a guide portion to pass the recording medium held by attraction on the first transport belt to the second transport belt and a positioning portion to keep a fixed gap between the guide portion and the transport surface of the first belt transport section, and is arranged to be swingable in a movement direction of the first belt transport section. The biasing member biases the guide support member in a direction approaching the first belt transport section.

Inkjet recording apparatus with divided belt transport sections

An image processor, including a housing having a transparent plate disposed on the upper surface thereof, and a swing frame pivotally mounted on the housing. In the swing frame is disposed a document conveyer which includes document suppressing rollers. In a state where the swing frame is brought to the closed position, the document suppressing rollers extend over the transparent plate, maintaining a space relative thereto in the direction of width of the transparent plate. A first shaft member is mounted on the swing frame, a pair of support brackets are rotatably mounted on the first shaft member separated by a distance in the axial direction, a second shaft member is mounted on the pair of support brackets to extend in the direction of width of the transparent plate in a state where the swing frame is brought to the closed position, and the document suppressing rollers are mounted on the second shaft member. First position restriction devices are disposed in relation to the pair of support brackets and are brought into contact with the upper surface of the transparent plate so as to restrict the space between the transparent plate and the document suppressing rollers.
