A condenser includes a first header tank, a second header tank, a third header tank, a plurality of first heat exchange tubes, a plurality of second heat exchange tubes, a refrigerant passable tubular body, and a desiccant container. The first header tank is provided on one side of the condenser and has a gas-liquid separation function. The plurality of first heat exchange tubes extend in an extending direction between the first header tank and the third header tank to connect the first header tank and the third header tank. The refrigerant passable tubular body is provided in the first header tank. An upper end of the refrigerant passable tubular body is located above an upper end of the plurality of first heat exchange tubes. The desiccant container is provided above the refrigerant passable tubular body in the first header tank.

Condenser

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat exchange tubes and corrugated fins. The heat exchange tubes are spaced apart from one another in a vertical direction of the heat exchanger. The corrugated fins are each disposed between adjacent heat exchange tubes. Each of the corrugated fins includes crest portions, trough portions, and connection portions. The crest portions extend in an air passage direction of the heat exchanger. The trough portions extend in the air passage direction. The connection portions connect the crest portions and the trough portions. The number of the crest portions of each of the corrugated fins disposed between adjacent heat exchange tubes falls within a range of a designed number &#xb1;2. The designed number is a standard number.

Heat exchanger with variable tube length

A first header tank to which first heat exchange tubes of second and third heat exchange paths are connected and a second header tank to which second heat exchange tubes of a first heat exchange path are connected are provided at the left end of a condenser such that the former is located on the outer side of the latter with respect to a left-right direction and is offset from the latter in an air passage direction. The upper end of the first header tank is located above the lower end of the second header tank. The first header tank has a function of separating gas and liquid and storing the liquid. The first and second heat exchange tubes and side plates are bent in the same direction about a common vertical line. This condenser is suitable for use in a car air conditioner mounted on an automobile.

A first header tank to which first heat exchange tubes of third and fourth heat exchange paths are connected and a second header tank to which second heat exchange tubes of first and second heat exchange paths are connected are provided at one end of a condenser. The upper end of the first header tank is located above the lower end of the second header tank. The first header tank has a function of separating gas and liquid from each other and storing the liquid. A spacer is disposed between the first header tank and the second header tank. The spacer includes a first portion which comes into contact with and is brazed to the first header tank, and a second portion which comes into contact with and is brazed to the second header tank.

A first header tank to which first heat exchange tubes of third and fourth heat exchange paths are connected and a second header tank to which second heat exchange tubes of first and second heat exchange paths are connected are provided at one end of a condenser. The upper end of the first header tank is located above the lower end of the second header tank. The first header tank has a function of separating gas and liquid and storing the liquid. The first heat exchange tubes have projecting portions at their ends located on the side toward the first header tank. A corrosion prevention member having a function of corroding sacrificially for the first heat exchange tubes is disposed in a clearance between the projecting portion of the upper-end first heat exchange tube and the lower end of the second header tank.

A condenser has, at one end, a first header tank to which first heat exchange tubes of third and fourth heat exchange paths are connected and a second header tank to which second heat exchange tubes of first and second heat exchange paths are connected. The upper end of the first header tank is located above the lower end of the second header tank. The first header tank has a branching control section promoting a flow of liquid-phase refrigerant from the first header tank into the first heat exchange tubes of the fourth heat exchange path. The branching control section includes a space forming member which forms a closed refrigerant inflow space communicating with the first heat exchange tubes, and a liquid accumulation space. The space forming member has a communication portion for communication between a lower portion of the refrigerant inflow space and the liquid accumulation space.

Fixed to the peripheral wall of a headerof a unit-type heat exchangeris a receiver connecting blockhaving channelsfor causing the interior of the headerto communicate with the interior of a liquid receivertherethrough. The blockand the liquid receiverhave respective fixing portionsand respective contact faceseach provided on the fixing portion. The outer peripheral surfaces of the fixing portionshave respective contours of the same shape and the same size. The liquid receiveris fixed to the blockwith the contact facesof the fixing portionsin intimate contact with each other. A tubular seal memberhaving rubber elasticity is liquid-tightly fitted around the fixing portions. The seal memberhas an inner shape smaller than the contours of the outer peripheral surfaces of the fixing portionsand is fitted as elastically deformed around the fixing portions. Rainwater or the like can be prevented from ingressing into an interstice between the contact faces of the block and the liquid receiver.

Heat exchanger and refrigerant passage portion connecting structure for refrigeration cycle

A heat exchanger with a receiver-tank includes a heat exchanger main body, a receiver-tank and a block flange. The flange includes a main body, an embedding portion to be attached to one of headers in an embedded state, an inlet flow passage with an inlet side end portion disposed at an upper end of the embedding portion, the inlet flow passage communicating with a condensing portion of the heat exchanger main body, and an outlet flow passage with an outlet side end portion disposed at a side surface of the embedding portion, and the outlet flow passage communicating with a subcooling portion. A flange-like partition piece is formed at an upper end periphery of the embedding portion of the flange, and the peripheral edge of the partition piece is joined to the inner peripheral surface of one of the headers.

Refrigeration system and its condensing apparatus

A heat exchanger with a receiver tank is provided with a multi-flow type heat-exchange body (), a receiver tank (), a block flange () having a side surface connected to the periphery of a condensing portion outlet of the heat exchanger body () and an upper en to which a lower end of the receiver tank () is attached and a bracket () for supporting the upper part of the receiver tank () to the heat exchanger body (). A flange-shaped pressing stepped portion () is formed on the upper periphery of the tank main body () of the receiver tank (). The bracket () is provided with a joint portion () to be secured to the peripheral surface of one of headers () and embracing portions () and () that surround the periphery of the tank main body () and are engaged with the upper side of the pressing stepped portion () to downwardly press the receiver tank (). With this heat exchanger, stable refrigeration performance can be obtained and that the assembling operation can be performed easily.

Heat exchanger with receiver tank, and refrigeration system

A receiver-tank for use in a refrigeration cycle of this invention is provided with a filtering layer formed so that an upper space is formed above the filtering layer in a tank main body . An upper end of a refrigerant outlet in a tank bottom wall is opened toward the upper space . The refrigerant flowed into the tank main body from the refrigerant inlet passes through the filtering layer upwardly, and forms liquid-stagnation R in the upper space . The liquefied refrigerant of liquid-stagnation R flows out of the refrigerant outlet . Thereby, only the stable liquefied refrigerant can be extracted more assuredly.

Receiver tank for use in refrigeration cycle, heat exchanger with said receiver tank, and condensing apparatus for use in refrigeration cycle

A receiver-tank is provided with a vertical tank main body An inlet and an outlet are provided in an inlet-and-outlet forming member as a bottom wall of the tank main body A desiccant-filled-layer as a flow-resistance layer is provided in a lower part of the tank main body and an upper space is formed above the desiccant-filled-layer A suction pipe is provided in the tank main body with the lower end connected with the outlet and the upper end opened toward the upper space. When the refrigerant introduced into the tank main body from the inlet port goes up through the desiccant-filled-layer the flow velocity decreases, and liquid-stagnation R is quietly created bin the upper space. The liquefied refrigerant of this liquid-stagnation R flows out of the outlet through the suction pipe Thereby, the stable liquid refrigerant can be supplied.

The condensing apparatus in a refrigeration cycle includes a condenser having a condensing portion and a receiver-dryer. The receiver-dryer includes a tank main body, a desiccant-filled-portion arranged so that an upper space is formed at an upper part in the tank main body, a refrigerant-introducing-passage for introducing the condensed refrigerant into the tank main body from the condenser, and a refrigerant-discharging-passage for discharging the liquefied refrigerant in the tank main portion. The refrigerant-introducing-passage has an outlet which opens toward an inner bottom of the tank main body. The refrigerant-discharging-passage penetrates the desiccant-filled-portion and has an inlet formed so as to open toward the upper space at an upper end of the desiccant-filled-portion and an outlet formed at a bottom portion of the tank main body. The condensed refrigerant is introduced into the inner bottom of the tank main body through the refrigerant-introducing-passage from the condensing portion of the condenser and passes through the desiccant-filled-portion upward to be accumulated in the upper space. The accumulated liquefied refrigerant is introduced into the inlet of the refrigerant-discharging-passage and flows out of the tank main body via the outlet.
