Of the components making up the pump, one part including the bearing is removably assembled into the other part so that the bearing is received in the other part. This structure allows easy removal of the first part of the pump components from the second part for disassembly and for maintenance and inspection of the pump. The pump can also be reassembled with ease by inserting the first part into the other part.

Mechanical pump equipment

This invention relates to a cold trap for collecting impurities from liquid, which comprises a mesh screen and a spacer mesh having higher strength and wider mesh holes than that of the mesh screen interposed between the windings of the mesh screen. According to the present invention, since the spacer mesh supports the mesh screen over the whole surface thereof so that the mesh screen is protected free from break or deformation, the stiffness and collecting efficiency of the mesh section can be maintained prolongedly.

Cold trap

The balustrade comprises glass panels arranged on opposite sides of the passenger conveyor steps circulating endlessly, guide frames each of which has a U-shaped recess and is mounted on and bonded to the upper edge portion of the glass panel by adhesive, with the upper edge portion being inserted in the U-shaped recess so that both ends of the glass panel project from the ends of the guide frame, joint frames each of which has the same cross-section as the guide frame and is disposed in a gap formed between the adjacent guides by arranging the glass panel with the guide frame in an end-to-end relation, coupling plates disposed on both sides of the guide frames and joint frame to sandwich them and means for fastening the coupling plates. The guide frames and the joint frame, which support handrails circulating endlessly, are firmly and easily secured to the glass panels with simple construction.

Balustrade of passenger conveyor

An ionization detector which ionizes particles of a substance to be easily ionized and then measures the number of the ionized particles as ionization current. The detector comprises a heater for ionizing particles, a collector disposed opposite to the heater for collecting ionized particles, and a control arrangement for controlling the temperature of the heater to a constant value. Thus, by preventing the fluctuation of the temperature of the heater due to the fluctuations of the voltage of the power source and of the flow of a cooling fluid which is detected as the ionized particles, an exact measurement of the number or concentration of ionized particles can be performed.

Ionization detector

A driving mechanism for driving a moving handrail of an escalator and the like. The driving mechanism include driving rollers and guiding rollers which are disposed to confront with each other through the moving handrail interposed therebetween. The driving rollers are secured to a movable plate, while the guiding rollers are attached to fixed plates. The movable plate is adapted to be moved in the direction perpendicular to the moving handrail, while the fixed plates are firmly secured to a part of a truss frame which supports the escalator. The movable plate carries a sprocket by means of which the driving rollers are rotated to drive the moving handrail. The sprocket itself is adapted to be driven by a chain going therearound. The vertical component of the tensile force residing in the chain acts to press the driving rollers onto the moving handrail.
