A control circuit for a sensor provided in a long member which can be inserted into a lumen to measure the flow velocity of a fluid in the lumen and a measurement device. The control circuit includes a drive circuit supplying a drive current to the sensor. A leakage current detection circuit detects a leakage current and performs an output corresponding to the detected leakage current. The leakage current detection circuit outputs a detection signal in response to detection of a leakage current exceeding a threshold value. A stop circuit stopping supply of the drive current to the sensor by the detection signal is further provided.

A blood measurement device has a tubular shaft having flexibility, a tubular connection portion positioned coaxially with the distal end of the shaft and having an inner diameter larger than the inner diameter of the shaft, a slit communicating the inside and the outside of the connection portion, a tubular tip guide portion having flexibility coaxially connected to the distal end of the connection portion, a core material having flexibility fitted into the connection portion and extending to the distal end in the internal space of the tip guide portion to be connected to the tip guide portion, a measurement element positioned in the internal space of the tip guide portion and measuring the physical quantity of blood, and a signal wire which is extended from the measurement element to be inserted into and passed through the internal space of the shaft through the slit.

A triaxial acceleration sensor and a triaxial angular rate sensor are mounted on each of the lower limb portions on both sides of one joint among joints constituting a part of one lower limb of a subject. The acceleration and angular rate of each lower limb portion are measured by the triaxial acceleration sensor and triaxial angular rate sensor while the subject is walking. The orientations of each lower limb portion while walking are calculated on the basis of the measured acceleration and angular rate. A three-dimensional model including the motion trajectory of one joint is constructed by linking the lower limb portions in the calculated orientation to each other. The angle formed by the acceleration vector of one joint when the heel strikes the ground to the movement trajectory in the sagittal plane is calculated as a gait parameter.

A myoelectric sensor for detecting myoelectric signals which accompany body movement includes: a wearing band that is elastic, expandable, and circular, and that is worn around a limb to surround the limb tightly; myoelectric detection units a plurality of which are disposed in the circumferential direction on the wearing band with intervals therebetween so as to cause each of a plurality of myoelectric detection electrodes to be in close contact with the surface of the limb, and which detect myoelectric signals from corresponding positions on the limb using the myoelectric detection electrodes; and connection cables that electrically connect mutually adjacent myoelectric detection units and thereby transmit the myoelectric signals. The connection cables each include a bent portion, the bent shape of which changes in response to changes in the distance between the mutually adjacent myoelectric detection units.

A transmitted light intensity measurement unit for measuring a concentration of fluid flowing through a duct comprises: a light source for supplying light into the duct from a light supply part on a surface of the duct; a light receiving element for receiving the light, which has been passed from the light supply part through the duct wall and the fluid inside the duct, at a light receiving part located on an opposite side in a diametrical direction of the duct relative to the light supply part, and outputs a signal indicating an intensity of the light; and a light-transmissive member disposed on at least one light path among a light pass between the light source and the light supply part and a light pass between the light receiving element and the light receiving part, abutting and closely contacting the duct wall by an elastic deformation of the duct wall.

An electrocardiograph measures an electrocardiac signal by processing electric signals detected by bioelectrode pads. The bioelectrode pads each includes a plurality of sheets of electrodes disposed by being stacked on each other; conductive gel sheets disposed alternately with the sheets of electrodes and interposed between the electrodes; and a dynamic pressure stabilizing plate. The electrocardiograph includes a first differential circuit for obtaining an electrocardiac source signal by taking the difference between signals each obtained from any one of the electrodes of each of two bioelectrode pads; a second differential circuit for obtaining a body motion noise signal by taking the difference between signals obtained from any two of the electrodes of each of said two bioelectrode pads; and a body motion noise removing circuit for removing the low frequency components of the body motion noise signal of each of said two bioelectrode pads from the electrocardiac source signal.

A needle-less connector includes a housing having a drug solution flow path, and an elastic valve body. An end surface of the housing on a side of a tip end opening of the drug solution flow path constitutes a protruding support surface whose center section protrudes and slopes in a direction of a foot, and the elastic valve body is superposed onto the protruding support surface in a state of close contact therewith. Insertion of a male luer into a slit of the elastic valve body causes expanding deformation of the elastic valve body along the protruding support surface. A flexion section is formed on a sloped surface of the protruding support surface, and the sloped surface has different tilt angles on a foot section side and on a crest section side of the flexion section.

An electrode pad for use on a living organism can measure an electrocardiographic signal without being hindered by body-motion noise. The electrode pad is attached to the skin of the living organism, detects an electrical signal, and supplies the electrical signal to an electrocardiograph. The electrode pad for use on a living organism is characterized by the provision of a mesh-like electrode that extends along the skin, a conductive gel sheet that is layered on top of the electrode and extends along the surface of the skin, and a soft protective sheet that covers the layered electrode and conductive gel sheet.

A fluid concentration measuring device measures the concentration of a fluid flowing through a duct having a light-transmissive, deformable duct wall. The device includes a light source; a light receiving element which receives the light, which passed through the wall of the duct and the fluid inside the duct, and outputs a signal indicating the intensity of the light; light path distance setting means and fluid concentration output means which obtains a plurality of relational expressions, which indicate the relation between the light intensity and the fluid concentration when the light from the light supply part is received by the light receiving part over each of the light path distances, and obtains the fluid concentration from the light intensity at the light receiving part based on the relational expressions for the plurality of light path distances and outputs the fluid concentration.
