An exhaust device incorporated in a vehicle for travel on uneven terrains. The exhaust device includes an air blowing device and an exhaust pipe through which exhaust gas generated in a prime mover is directed out of the vehicle. The exhaust pipe includes an upstream pipe, a downstream pipe, and a joint device joining the upstream pipe to the downstream pipe in a manner permitting the upstream pipe to move relative to the downstream pipe, the air blowing device being disposed to blow cooling air toward the joint device.

A water pump is mounted to a combustion engine having a crank shaft extending in a vehicle widthwise direction, a crankcase supporting the crank shaft and a covering member fastened to an abutting surface at one side surface of the crankcase. The water pump includes: a water pump shaft that is disposed in parallel to the crankshaft and is drivingly coupled with the crankshaft; an impeller fixed to a distal end portion of the water pump shaft; and a pump casing rotatably supporting the water pump shaft. The water pump is disposed laterally inward of the abutting surface in the vehicle widthwise direction. The water pump shaft is inserted through an insertion hole provided in the crankcase. The pump casing is fitted in a mounting hole provided at an outer surface of the crankcase.

The utility vehicle further includes a fuel tank accommodated in a lower space of one of the seat rows, a fuel system mounting bracket provided next to the fuel tank in the lower space and fixed to a seat frame, and a fuel feed pump and a single or a plurality of fuel system accessories mounted to the fuel system mounting bracket.

An exhaust device of a vehicle having a V-engine including a front cylinder and a rear cylinder, includes at least one muffler disposed in a rear part of the vehicle, a front-cylinder exhaust pipe which is connected to a front surface of the front cylinder and which reaches the muffler, and a rear-cylinder exhaust pipe which is connected to a rear surface of the rear cylinder and which reaches the muffler. The front-cylinder exhaust pipe is curved rearward at a curved portion from a connecting portion between the front-cylinder exhaust pipe and the front cylinder inward of the side frame in the lateral direction. The front-cylinder exhaust pipe is located outward in the lateral direction with a fixed space from the engine, and extends toward a rear part of the vehicle substantially along the side frame as viewed from above.

The muffler mounting structure is provided with a muffler, at least one muffler mounting portion provided in a body frame and having a mounting hole, and at least one mounted bracket provided in an upper part of the muffler and disposed on an upper surface of the muffler mounting portion. The mounted bracket having a fixing member insertion hole passing in the up and down direction, and at least one fixing member inserted into the fixing member insertion hole from the upper side and fixed to the mounting hole.

A pick-up style utility vehicle having a front seat, a rear seat, a cargo bed, a cabin frame surrounding a riding space, and a screen shield partitioning the cargo bed and a rear riding space in front of the cargo bed. The cargo bed can be changed between an expanded state in which the cargo bed is expanded in a front direction into the rear riding space and a non-expanded state not occupying the rear riding space. A backrest for the rear seat is attached to the screen shield. The screen shield can be shifted between a position in the expanded state and a position in the non-expanded state when a seat bottom and the backrest of the rear seat are changed between a retracted state in which the seat bottom and the backrest are erected on the same straight line and a seatable used state.
