To provide a seat belt component having a molded resin surface in which the burr formed by the resin is less conspicuous or eliminated. The seat belt component could be a shoulder anchor and have the added benefit of allowing the seat belt to slide smoothly therethrough. An externally formed structural element is formed on the metal surface to prevent further flow of the synthetic resin.

Resin covered components of a seat belt

An airbag device is formed of a retainer having a center opening, an air bag, and at least one inflater fixed to the retainer. The air bag includes an outer bag having an outer bag opening, and an inner bag arranged inside the outer bag and having an inner bag opening. The peripheries of the outer and inner bag openings are directly or indirectly fixed to the retainer so that the inner bag communicates with an outside through the outer bag opening and the center opening. The inflater has a main body containing a gas generating agent therein and faces a space between the outer and inner bags to directly supply gas to the space when the inflater is actuated. When the gas is supplied to the space between the outer and inner bags, air is inspired into the inner bag through the center opening.

Airbag device with inner and outer bags

An air bag is structured by superposing a lower panel and an upper panel and sewing up the peripheral portions of the panels. The air bag is provided with an opening for an inflator at its rear portion. Flaps are extended from a peripheral portion of the opening for the inflator.

Air bag

The invention is a combination of an air bag device and a vehicle. An air bag for the air bag device for a passenger seat or a rear seat is structured by superposing a lower panel and an upper panel and sewing up the peripheral portions of the panels. The lower panel is longer than the upper panel. Portions of the lower panel are superposed each other and extended out of the air bag so as to form elongated portions. A protrusion of the air bag is formed by sewing up side edges of the elongated portions with threads.

Combination of an air bag device and a vehicle

An air bag for a passenger seat or a rear seat which is produced by easy sewing and is assembled into an air bag device easily is structured by superposing a lower panel and an upper panel and sewing up the peripheral portions of the panels. The lower panel is provided with an opening for an inflator and vent holes. The opening is provided with a cloth sewed on the outside of the periphery thereof. The rod-shaped inflator is inserted between the cloth and the opening. The both ends of the inflator are fixed to a casing.

Air bag device

An air bag has openings disposed on both of side surfaces of the air bag and a cylindrical cloth attached inside of the air bag to communicate the openings with each other. Both sides of the cylindrical cloth are connected to the side surfaces of the air bag. A vent hole is disposed in the cylindrical cloth.

Air bag with large size and small volume

A reclining adjustment mechanism (20) for continuously varying the reclining attitude of a seat main unit (2) of an infant restraining protective seat (1) is provided, and a protecting member (10), which does not allow a vehicle seat belt (7) to come into direct contact with the seat main unit (2) when the seat belt (7) is tightened, is interposed between the seat belt (7) and the seat main unit (2). Further, an engaging mechanism (2c, 10d, 11, 12), which causes the protecting member (10) and the seat main unit (2) to engage when the vehicle undergoes deceleration in excess of a predetermined value, is provided. Accordingly, the reclining attitude of the seat main unit can be adjusted continuously by the reclining adjusting mechanism. As a result, the seat belt does not directly engage the seat main unit (2) owing to the protecting member when an infant restraining protective seat is secured to the vehicle seat by the seat belt. Accordingly, the reclining attitude of the seat main unit can be adjusted continuously with the seat belt left in the tightened state. Since the protecting member and the seat main unit are engaged by the engaging mechanism when the vehicle undergoes a large amount of deceleration, a change in reclined attitude owing to movement of the seat main unit is reliably prevented.

Restraining protective seat for infants

The restraint and protection seat 1 for an infant includes a seat main unit 2, an infant seat belt 4 mounted on this seat main unit 2, a breast pad 5 mounted on the tip of this infant seat belt 4, and a fastening device to fasten the breast pad 5 on the seat main unit when the infant seat belt 4 is attached on an infant's body. The fastening device is provided with a receiving member 6 mounted on the breast pad 5 and with a fastening member mounted on the seat main unit 2 and to removably fasten the receiving member 6. The fastening device is arranged on the seat main unit 2 and is freely moved in a front-to-back direction by the screw device 28. Thus, the infant seat belt 4 and the breast pad 5 can be continuously adjusted and can be fitted to an infant of any physical shape.
