The present disclosure relates to an austenitic stainless steel contains C≤0.10 mass %, Si≤0.50 mass %, 3.0≤Mn≤8.0 mass %, P≤0.30 mass %, S≤0.30 mass %, 7.0≤Ni≤12.0 mass %, 18.0≤Cr≤28.0 mass %, 1.0≤Mo≤3.0 mass %, 0.03≤V≤0.50 mass %, 0.0003≤B≤0.0300 mass %, 0.0001≤Ca≤0.0300 mass %, 0.35≤N≤0.80 mass %, W≤2.0 mass %, Zr≤0.20 mass %, Cu≤0.5 mass %, Al≤0.10 mass %, and O≤0.050 mass %, with a balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities. The austenitic stainless steel has a number density of coarse alloy carbonitrides of 3×10pieces/mmor less.

A component for a hot-dip metal plating bath includes a base material and a thermal spray coating disposed to cover a surface of the base material. The base material includes ferritic stainless steel that contains: C: 0.10% to 0.50% by mass; Si: 0.01% to 4.00% by mass; Mn: 0.10% by mass to 3.00% by mass; Cr: 15.0% to 30.0% by mass; a total of Nb, V, Ti, and Ta: 0.9% by mass to 5.0% by mass; and a balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities. The ferritic stainless steel includes a microstructure that includes a ferrite phase as a main phase and a crystallized carbide, an area fraction of a Nb carbide, a Ti carbide, a V carbide, a Ta carbide, and a composite carbide thereof to the crystallized carbide of 30% or more. The hot-dip metal plating bath contains 50% by mass or more of Al.

The present invention relates to a Ti&#x2014;Al-based heat-resistant member including a Ti&#x2014;Al-based alloy which includes: 28.0 mass % to 35.0 mass % of Al; 1.0 mass % to 15.0 mass % of at least one selected from the group consisting of Nb, Mo, W and Ta; 0.1 mass % to 5.0 mass % of at least one selected from the group consisting of Cr, Mn and V; and 0.1 mass % to 1.0 mass % of Si, with the balance being Ti and unavoidable impurities, in which a whole or a part of a surface of the Ti&#x2014;Al-based heat-resistant member includes a hardened layer as a surface layer, the hardened layer having a higher hardness than an inside of the Ti&#x2014;Al-based heat-resistant member, and the Ti&#x2014;Al-based heat-resistant member has a hardness ratio (a hardness of the surface layer/a hardness of the inside) of 1.4 to 2.5.

The present invention provides a beta-type titanium alloy including, by weight %: Nb: 10 to 25%; Cr: 1 to 10%; at least one of Zr: 10% or less and Sn: 8% or less, satisfying Zr+Sn being 10% or less; and the balance of Ti and inevitable impurities, the alloy having Young's modulus of 100 GPa or less, a process for producing the beta-type titanium alloy, and a beta-type titanium alloy product.
