The object of the present invention is to provide a cellular phone to be used for emergency reports that performs GPS positioning by means of remote control from an emergency report center, and transmits positional information to the emergency report center. The emergency report cellular phone according to the present invention is constituted such that when an emergency report switch thereof is depressed, a call request is made to the emergency report center. The emergency report center transmits a response signal with the result that a call link is formed between the emergency report cellular phone and the emergency report center. Following completion of the telephone call, the emergency report center transmits a position recalculation command message, by means of a DTMF signal. The emergency report cellular phone, which has received this command message, performs GPS positioning and then converts latitudinal and longitudinal information to a DTMF signal before transmitting same to the emergency report center. As a result, even in a case where, in a time of emergency, a reporting party is unable to perform GPS positioning manually as a result of a poor physical condition, for example, since GPS positioning is possible by means of remote control, it is possible to rescue the reporting party in a rapid and reliable manner.

Emergency report cellular phone, cellular connection switching method and GPS positioning method

A speed detecting apparatus mounted on an object moving on the ground detects a Doppler frequency for computing a moving speed thereof by receiving reflection waves of a microwave signal or a millimeter wave transmitted to the ground. The apparatus comprises a plurality of transmitting/receiving systems each having an antenna and a transmitter/receiver, and a signal processing section for computing moving speed according to Doppler frequency detected by the transmitting/receiving systems. Directivity of an antenna provided in each of the plurality of transmitting/receiving systems is set at a different angle respectively.

Speed detecting apparatus

A distributed constant type multiple-line circuit is described which comprises a dielectric block (60) having shield conductors (62,64) on its rear surface and all the peripheral side surfaces, a central conductor (1) extending in the block in the front-to-rear thickness direction at the central portion thereof, a first plurality of conductors (2-5) positioned around and parallel to the central conductor and inductively coupled therewith, and a second plurality of conductors (2'-5') positioned nearby and parallel to the first conductors and inductively coupled therewith, respectively. The length of the central conductor is equal to one quarter of the wavelength of the central frequency (f.sub.1) in a frequency band, and the rear end thereof is isolated with the shield conductor on the rear surface of the block. Each of the lengths of the first conductors is equal to one quarter of the wavelength of a predetermined frequency (f.sub.2 -f.sub.5) in the frequency band, and the rear ends thereof are shorted with the shield conductor on the rear surface of the block. Each of the lengths of the second conductors is equal to that of the corresponding one of said first conductors, and the rear ends thereof are isolated with the shield conductor on the rear surface of the block. An input signal (S.sub.IN) iS input to the front end of the central conductor, and signal components of frequencies (f.sub.2 -f.sub.5) are respectively output through the first conductors from the front ends of the second conductor.

Distributed constant type multiple-line circuit

Disclosed is a transmission signal output control circuit which is formed of an RF amplifier circuit for supplying an amplified RF transmission signal to an antenna circuit; a detector connected to the RF amplifier to detect a transmission signal output level of the RF amplifier; a reference signal generation circuit for generating a reference signal having a selectively changeable signal level; a transmission signal output level control circuit for comparing an output of the detector with the reference signal to thereby supply a control signal to the RF amplifier to thereby control an amplification degree of the RF amplifier to make the RF amplifier produce an RF transmission signal level corresponding to the selected signal level of the reference signal; and a DC bias supply circuit connected to the detector a high-frequency choke coil which has an inductance value selected to cooperate with an intrinsic electrostatic capacitance value of the detector to provide parallel resonance at a frequency of the RF transmission signal.

Transmission signal output control circuit

A shielding structure for a circuit on a circuit board has a conductive box member for enclosing a region of the surface of the circuit board requiring shielding. The edge defining the open side of the conductive box member has a conductive rib protruding therefrom. A conductive pattern member is formed on the surface of the circuit board in the same shape as the edge of the conductive box member so as to encircle the region requiring shielding. The conductive box member is fastened on the circuit board by screws so as to cause the conductive rib to bite into the conductive pattern member and establish good electrical connection therewith. A conductive sheet can be inserted between the conductive box member and the conductive pattern member to further enhance the shielding effect.

Shield structure for circuit on circuit board

A radar detector/security device for cars in which the antenna structure of a radar wave detection circuit that drives a warning means when a radar wave is detected is utilized to radiate a local oscillation signal and receive a signal reflected from a dielectric body. The Doppler shift produced by the movement of the dielectric body is detected as a beat component of the local oscillation signal. This beat component causes an incorporated security function to activate a security circuit. The radar detection circuit or the security circuit can be selectively utilized.

Radar detector/security device for automobiles

A band determining method in which radar signals of first and second frequency bands are received in the upper- and lower-heterodyne reception modes, using a local oscillation signal modulated with a low frequency signal, thus causing the phase relationship between the detected signal and the modulating signal to indicate which band signals are received.

Band discriminating method in a receiver

A radar detector capable of discriminating a prescribed radar signal from other undesired radar or interference signals by mixing an incoming electromagnetic wave radar signal with a local signal whose frequency varies with time within a fixed range of frequency repeatedly at regular periods, thus providing a beat signal; temporarily stopping the frequency sweep in response to appearance of dc components alone in the beat signal when the incoming radar signal matches the local signal in frequency; and watching the length of time for which the incoming radar signal matches the local signal in frequency. The reception of the prescribed radar signal is indicated using a sound-generating unit such as a speaker or a light-emitting unit.

Radar detector

A radar detector is disclosed which comprises a radar wave signal receiver for producing a detection output when the incident radar signal is synchronized with a local oscillation frequency at a certain sweeping time, first and second pulse train signal generators for producing pulses with different cycles, and a cycle alteration circuit for altering the cycle of the second pulse train signal generator in accordance with a logic output corresponding to the detection output from said receiver, thereby synchronizing such cycle with the cycle of the first pulse train signal generator. The regular radar wave signal is discerned by the detection of coincidence between the output pulses from the first and second pulse train signal generators at certain time intervals. Consequently, the radar system is prevented from responding to interference noise or extraneous radar waves.
