In a gaming system, preferential matching is achieved while suppressing increase of load on a server device. In order to determine whether a matching between specific players should be prioritized over other matchings a discrimination is made between whether or not a player satisfies a predetermined priority condition associated with information at a respective gaming console, and if the priority condition is satisfied, priority information indicating that the priority condition has been satisfied is added to a request for matching and transmitted to a server, whereupon at the server, if the request for matching to which the priority information has been added is received, the player of the gaming console that has transmitted the request for matching is prioritized in being matched between the specific players over players who do not satisfy the priority condition.

Game system and player matching method

A game machine () receives via a server apparatus () and displays on a game image (), a comment transmitted from a terminal apparatus () of a user. When a user of the game machine () indicates a reply to the comment, the game machine () requests the server apparatus () to transmit as a reply comment, a comment for reply which is specified in advance by the user, to a user who is a transmitter of the comment to be replied. By following the request, the server apparatus () transmits the comment for reply to the terminal apparatus () of the user who is a destination of reply.

Amusement system having communication function

A game machine includes a game progress controller, a main image display controller, a supplementary information generator, and a sub-image display controller. The game progress controller accepts operational information entered from a touch panel and from other game machines and successively obtains tile objects representing tiles of individual players. The main image display controller defines arrangement zones for the tile objects representing the tiles of the individual players within a main screen area, displays the tile objects so that patterns of tile objects of a primary player are visually recognizable, and substitutes the tile objects obtained by drawing actions for specified ones of the tile objects. The supplementary information generator generates supplementary information regarding the tile objects that are displayed in a visually recognizable fashion. The sub-image display controller displays the supplementary information in a sub-screen area located adjacent to the main screen area.
