The present invention relates to a printhead, a printing apparatus comprising the printhead, and a print control method thereof. The printhead includes a plurality of heating elements and a driving circuit for electrifying and driving the heating elements. The printhead comprises: a shift register for serially inputting digital data, supplied from an external unit, and retaining the data; a counter for counting a clock; a comparator for comparing time-length data, included in the digital data, with a counted value of the counter, and outputting a match signal when a match is found; and a flip-flop circuit for enabling a driving signal in response to a driving start signal supplied from an external unit, and disenabling the driving signal in response to the match signal outputted based on the counted value of the counter from the driving start signal.

Disclosed are a printing apparatus and method through which high-quality image printing can be performed at all times even if image data is binarized so as to perform pseudo half tone representation and the binarized image is printed by multi-pass printing. The apparatus performs printing in such a manner that the periodicity of a matrix pattern such as a dither matrix for half tone representation and the periodicity of the matrix of a mask pattern, which is used in multi-pass printing, will not coincide. In a case where printing is carried out by a printhead having a plurality of ink discharge nozzles, the printing apparatus is controlled so that printing is performed by assigning a large number of different nozzles to print the same line.

A camera system includes a camera body and a lens in which a motor circuit and an electric circuit are arranged and are supplied with electric power from a power source in the camera body. C., no disordered liquid crystal orientation results even after cold/hot temperature cycles. An even greater effect is achieved if the spontaneous polarization at of the composition at temperature t.sub.1 is at least 160 nC/cm.sup.2.
