A press-fit terminal () made of a wire material () of a predetermined length, the press-fit terminal includes: a distal section () formed at one end thereof to be inserted into a substrate (); a connecting section () formed at the other end thereof to be connected to a complementary terminal; and a press-fit section () formed at a distal section side thereof to be press-fitted into a through-hole () of the substrate; wherein the press-fit section is formed at the central part thereof a hole () vertically elongated along an axis direction of the wire material; the hole is formed with an extending section () extendedly formed toward the inside of the hole along the inner circumferential surface () of the hole; and the extending section is formed at the end thereof with an erected section () in an intersecting direction about the axis direction of the wire material.

A press-fit terminal is made up of a wire material of predetermined length. At a first end of wire material of the press-fit terminal is formed a tip for insertion into a substrate, and at the other end is formed a connection portion for connection to a corresponding terminal. A press-fit portion for press-fitting into the substrate is formed at the tip side of the wire material of the press-fit terminal, and a shoulder portion is formed to the connecting portion side of the press-fit portion. By making use of the press-fit terminal, damage to the substrate and breakage of contacts can be minimized, consistent insertion force and retaining force can be attained.

The perpendicular fitting female terminal according to the present invention comprises a tubular body having two first walls facing in a height direction and opposing to each other and two second walls facing in a width direction and opposing to each other, and extending in a depth direction, and a connecting part being aligned with the body in the depth direction and being integrally provided with the body, and being able to be connected to a conductor including electric wire. The two second walls of this perpendicular fitting female terminal are provided respectively with receiving holes penetrating, and inside the body is provided a leaf spring that undergoes elastic deformation in the height direction, and when a plug is accepted through any receiving hole, the leaf spring is pressed by the plug to undergo elastic deformation in the height direction.

A connector including: a male connector having a generally-box-shaped first housing and a first connection terminal; and a female connector having a generally-box-shaped second housing and a second connection terminal. The second housing has an airway for allowing the second housing inside to communicate with the outside. The first connection terminal has a communicating path for allowing the first housing inside to communicate with the outside. Because the inside of the sealed case and connector can be opened to the atmosphere through the communicating paths, the internal pressure of the sealed case can be brought into a condition close to or agreement with the atmospheric pressure. Even when temperature variations rapidly change the internal pressure of the sealed case, cracking in the sealed case can be avoided because internal pressure changes in the sealed case can be relieved.
