A sphygmomanometer according to the present invention includes an air leakage testing unit that performs air leakage testing on an air system to obtain an air leakage testing result, and a storage unit that stores the air leakage testing result. The air leakage testing result stored in the storage unit is displayed, on a display device, in a first display mode during a transition from a power-off state to a standby state or a non-blood pressure measurement state where a measurement start operation is disabled, or during a transition from the standby state to the power off state or the non-blood pressure measurement state where the measurement start operation is disabled, whereas, in the standby state or during blood pressure measurement, the air leakage testing result is not displayed or is displayed in a second display mode lower in degree of enhancement than the first display mode.

Sphygmomanometer

A blood pressure monitor cuff is formed by stacking an outer circumferential layer arranged on a side opposite to that of a measurement site and a fluid bladder arranged on the measurement site side. The outer circumferential layer and the fluid bladder are formed of an elastomer material. Two edge portions in a lengthwise direction of the outer circumferential layer protrude in a thickness direction toward the measurement site. The fluid bladder includes a base layer that opposes the outer circumferential layer and a top layer overlapping with the base layer, and the edge portions of the base layer and the top layer are welded together forming a bladder shape. Additional sheets are welded in the thickness direction to the welded edge portions of the top layer and the base layer. The fluid bladder is arranged between the two edge portions of the outer circumferential layer in the width direction.

Blood pressure monitor cuff, method for manufacturing the same, and blood pressure monitor

A blood pressure measurement method includes wrapping a cuff around a site. The cuff includes: a first bladder that swells due to receiving fluid and is arranged at an outer surface of the site that corresponds to a first half surface where an artery is; and a second bladder that swells due to receiving fluid and is arranged at the outer circumferential surface of the measurement site that corresponds to a second half surface opposite to the first half surface. During inflation, the pressure of the second bladder is made larger than the first bladder by supplying more fluid such that the stroke amount by which the second fluid bladder swells is larger in the thickness direction. Then, the two bladders are inflated at equal rates. In the process of inflating, or in the process of deflating at rates equal to each other after inflating, blood pressure is measured.

A fluid bladder includes multiple segment bladders that are each formed by folding one sheet in half in a width direction X extending along an artery passing through the measurement site, welding or adhering edge portions on a side opposite to the folding location for folding in half, and welding or adhering edge portions in a lengthwise direction Y. The multiple segment bladders are stacked in a width direction orthogonal to the measurement site and integrated, and the folding locations are arranged alternatingly on opposite sides in the width direction.

An appliance includes a belt that is worn by being wound around a wrist. The appliance includes: at least a first display region that is positioned in an area of the belt that corresponds to a volar-side surface or a radius-side surface of the wrist; and a second display region that is positioned in an area of the belt that corresponds to a back-side surface of the wrist. During a blood pressure measurement period, first control for displaying ongoing blood pressure measurement information only on the first display region is performed, and during a period other than the blood pressure measurement period, second control for displaying information that needs to be displayed on the first or second display region is performed.

Appliance

A blood pressure meter includes a pump and a first fluid path provided inside a main body. The first fluid path feeds a fluid from the pump to a fluid bladder or discharges the fluid from the fluid bladder. A pressure sensor is mounted on a first substrate disposed inside the main body. A second fluid path that introduces the fluid from the fluid bladder to the pressure sensor is provided. The second fluid path includes an inlet pipe that is integrally formed with a sensor package that incorporates the pressure sensor, and extends straight between the fluid bladder and the pressure sensor. A second substrate on which a blood pressure measurement element is mounted is disposed in a space that is located between the first substrate and the fluid bladder in a thickness direction and is adjacent to the second fluid path in a planar direction.

A fluid bladder has a first fluid bladder region that inflates due to receiving a supply of fluid and is contained in a portion of an outer circumferential surface of a measurement site in a lengthwise direction of a cuff, the portion corresponding to a first half surface, where an artery is. Also, the fluid bladder has an expansion region that is expanded due to an action from outside, and is contained at a portion of the outer circumferential surface of the measurement site that corresponds to a second half surface, in the lengthwise direction of the cuff. During inflation for blood pressure measurement, a stroke amount by which the expansion region expands is larger in the thickness direction than a stroke amount by which the first fluid bladder region swells.

A bodily information measurement apparatus includes a band-shaped belt to be wrapped around a measurement site; a main body that is connected to a base end portion in the lengthwise direction of the belt and on which a pressure detection unit and a fluid supply unit are mounted; and a fastening unit for fastening the base end portion and the leading end portion of the belt. The belt is formed by stacking an outer circumferential layer and a fluid bladder for compressing the measurement site. The bodily information measurement apparatus is attached to the measurement site due to the base end portion and the leading end portion being fastened by the fastening portion in a state in which the fluid bladder and the leading end portion of the belt overlap.

Every pulse wave, a constant volume control unit performs servo control while updating a servo gain such that a difference between an arterial volume shown by an arterial volume signal that is detected by an arterial volume detection circuit and a control target value of the servo control is less than a control deviation at which a rate of change of the arterial volume relative to a change in cuff pressure is deemed to be constant. Because the control deviation is the difference between the arterial volume shown by the arterial volume signal and the control target value, a blood pressure decision unit decides, as a blood pressure, the cuff pressure sequentially detected in a period during which servo control is performed, by correcting the cuff pressure using the control deviation and the rate of change deemed to be constant.

Electronic sphygmomanometer for measuring blood pressure based on arterial volume change

In a sphygmomanometer for measuring blood pressure according to a volume compensation method, an upper arm Vequivalent cuff pressure representing a cuff pressure in a state where an inner pressure and an outer pressure of an artery of an upper arm are in equilibrium is specified based on a cuff pressure signal of the upper arm. For example, the upper arm Vequivalent cuff pressure is detected as an average blood pressure obtained from the cuff pressure signal of the upper arm. After a control target value and an initial cuff pressure in the volume compensation are detected, a difference between the initial cuff pressure and the upper arm Vequivalent cuff pressure is calculated as a correction value, and the blood pressure value in the volume compensation method is corrected with the calculated correction value.

A blood pressure information measurement device includes a servo control unit for performing a servo control of a pressure adjustment unit so that a value of an arterial volume signal matches a control target value and a fluctuation detection unit for detecting rapid fluctuation of the arterial volume signal at an initial stage during a period of the servo control. The fluctuation detection unit determines that the rapid fluctuation occurred when a control deviation representing a level of the arterial volume signal having the control target value as a reference becomes greater than or equal to a predetermined magnification of a reference deviation. The blood pressure information measurement device further includes an adjustment processing unit for adjusting a control amount of the pressure adjustment unit by the servo control unit so that an excessive response is not made when the rapid fluctuation is detected by the fluctuation detection unit.

During a period of servo control, an artery volume of a peripheral site is detected by an artery volume sensor arranged at a peripheral site (site on the peripheral side than a measurement site) of a person to be measured. If an amount of change in the artery volume of the peripheral site or a value of the artery volume is greater than or equal to a predetermined ratio of a reference value at the beginning of the measurement, the servo control and a blood pressure determination process are continued. When detected thereafter that the amount of change in the artery volume of the peripheral site or the value of the artery volume is smaller than the predetermined ratio of the reference value at the beginning of the measurement, the measurement is stopped at the relevant time point.
