A signal transmitting device includes a transmitter, a receiver, and four optical fibers. The transmitter includes a first electro-optical converter electro-optically converting original electrical red video signal into optical red video signal in original video signal, a second electro-optical converter electro-optically converting original electrical green video signal into optical green video signal a third electro-optical converter electro-optically converting original electrical blue video signal into optical blue video signal, a parallel/serial converter converting original electrical parallel signal having a lower transfer rate than a transfer rate of the original video signal into original electrical serial signal, and a fourth electro-optical converter electro-optically converting the original electrical serial signal transmitted from the parallel/serial converter into optical serial signal. The receiver includes a first optical-electro converter, a second optical-electro converter, a third optical-electro converter, a fourth optical-electro converter, a clock signal generator, and a serial/parallel converter.

A storage device includes a storage section, a first control section, a communication section, a second control section and a wireless transmission and reception section. The storage section stores data. The first control section controls reading and writing the data from and into the storage section. The communication section transmits and receives the data to and from a higher-level device via a first transmission line. The second control section transmits and receives the data to and from the first control section and the communication section. The wireless transmission and reception section is provided to face a predetermined direction, and wirelessly transmits and receives data to and from another storage device provided in the predetermined direction under control of the second control section.

An optical transmitter includes a light-emitting element, a driving circuit, a temperature detection unit, a storage device and a control circuit. The driving circuit causes, based on an input signal, the light-emitting element to emit an optical signal having a pulse shape. The temperature detection unit detects an ambient temperature of the light-emitting element. The storage device stores temperature characteristics information of the light-emitting element. The control circuit controls the driving circuit based on the ambient temperature detected by the temperature detection unit and the temperature characteristic information stored in the storage device, so that an extinction ratio of the optical signal having the pulse shape becomes substantially constant.

Optical transmitter, optical communication system and method for adjusting optical transmitter

For signals to be transmitted through a signal transmission path constituted by a relay device group for relay for each set of a plurality of channels, a timing adjustment unit is provided in both or one of a receiver-side LSI and a transmitter-side LSI for each set of a plurality of channels transmitted through the relay device group for relay so that the signals can be transmitted with accurate timing. In addition, the timing adjustment unit can adjust the timing for signals transmitted through each relay device group, the timing in one receiver-side LSI in signal transmission through a plurality of relay device groups, and the timing in one-to-many signal transmission in which signals are transmitted from one transmitter-side LSI to a plurality of receiver-side LSIs.

The present invention provides an optical signal transmission apparatus for carrying out bi-directional light transmission. The optical signal transmission apparatus includes: a light sending module, for sending an optical main-signal having at least one data width, and receiving an optical sub-signal including a control signal; a light receiving module for receiving the optical main-signal and sending the optical sub-signal; and an optical cable for connecting between the light sending module and the light receiving module, wherein the light sending module comprises a control component which controls the output of the optical main-signal such that the output of the optical main-signal is stopped, when the optical sub-signal, which includes as data the reception status of the optical main-signal, is not being received, or when the reception status of the optical main-signal is indicating non-receiving.

Optical signal transmission apparatus and optical signal transmission method

A signal transmission system has a master node and plural slave nodes performing data transmission with the master node. The master node has a serial-to-parallel converter for converting a serial data signal from each slave node into a parallel data signal. Each slave node has a transmission aligner for performing word alignment processing upon a parallel data signals, and a parallel-to-serial converter for converting the parallel data signal subjected to the word alignment processing by the transmission aligner into a serial data signal, and outputting the serial data signal to the master node.

In an optical transmission apparatus in which a plurality of nodes are optically connected to one another via an optical transmission path, a light signal which is coded so that a mixture ratio of 1 and 0 constituting data is made close to 50% is transmitted through the optical transmission path. When a light signal is not emitted from all of the nodes, a dummy signal which is an AC-like signal is emitted to the optical transmission path. Therefore, an optoelectric conversion section can be always set to an active state, and the signal recognizability can be prevented from being lowered.

To provide a method of implementing cache logic technique in which total data processing time can be reduced, input data divided into block is sequentially processed in units of block in plural circuits using a programmable logic device provided with a circuit information input controller, a programmable logic circuit sector and a data cache. The plural circuits are sequentially reconfigured in the programmable logic device and execute processing per plural blocks which can be stored in the data cache. Intermediate data in units of plural blocks is stored in the data cache to be input data to a reconfigured circuit and intermediate data as the result of the processing by the reconfigured circuit is overwritten to the data cache. When the processing of the plural circuits is finished, the result of the processing is output to an external device without being stored in the data cache.

By reusing circuit information designed in the past, the amount of computation for combining circuit information for layout and wirings is significantly reduced. A memory part stores a plurality of pieces of circuit information for forming circuits in programmable logic circuits. Each of pieces of the circuit information has an identifier of its own circuit information, and in the case where part or all of the circuit information is formed with other circuit information, has the identifiers of the other circuit information as reference identifiers, as circuit data thereof. An acquisition part passes specification circuit information from an application program to an editing part, obtains circuit information of a specified circuit, sent from the editing part, and forms the specified circuit in the programmable logic circuits according to the circuit information. The editing part generates circuit information of a circuit specified by specification information from the acquisition part from circuit information of the specified circuit and other circuit information indicated by reference identifiers, obtained from the memory part.

An electroluminescent device including an electroluminescent cell, and a switching element connected to the electroluminescent cell. The switching element has an offset area and a unit for applying a voltage to the offset area. According to the electroluminescent device, a higher withstand voltage for the switching element can be obtained, and an adequate flow of drain current in the switching element is insured.
