A braking/driving force control system, during control for maintaining a target vehicle speed, performs fuel cut and then, when a required braking/driving force for maintaining the target vehicle speed reduces, makes a downshift while fuel cut is continued. The braking/driving force control system causes a brake to generate a braking force such that the sum of a braking/driving force that a powertrain generates and the braking force that the brake generates agrees with the required braking/driving force. Thus, good fuel efficiency and riding comfort are obtained.

In a vehicle speed limiter in which an electronic control unit that controls a drive force of an engine based on at least an accelerator opening controls a drive force of a vehicle so that a vehicle speed does not exceed a speed limit, the electronic control unit is configured to allow the vehicle speed to be equal to or higher than the limit vehicle speed and control the drive force generated by the engine based on the accelerator opening when the accelerator opening becomes a value equal to or larger than a increase reference value larger than a decrease reference value after the accelerator opening has decreased to a value equal to or smaller than the decrease reference value within a predetermined time from a time point when the vehicle speed limitation is released during the vehicle speed limitation being executed by the speed limiting control.

A control system for improving the security level of a security device. A portable device is provided with a communication function and has a portable device ID code. A security controller includes a memory for recording a controller ID code. The security controller communicates with the portable device to determine whether the portable device ID code matches the controller ID code, and controls deactivation of security functions for a door lock driver and an engine controller based on the determination result. In response to a restriction request signal, the management apparatus transmits a function restriction signal to the security controller. The security controller prohibits or restricts control of the door lock driver or the engine controller when receiving the function restriction signal and communicating with the portable device.

A security controller includes a memory for recording a controller ID code. The security controller communicates with the portable device and determines whether the portable device ID code matches the controller ID code. In accordance with the determination, the security controller selectively deactivates the security functions of a door lock driver and an engine controller. The security controller records and registers the portable device ID code as the controller ID code in the memory and transmits a registration signal containing the portable device ID code. A portable device management apparatus receives the registration signal from the security controller and manages the portable device based on the registration signal.
