The present invention relates to a developer mixture for a thermal recording material, which comprises a mixture of the first organic developer comprising a condensate or a condensed composition represented by the formula (I): wherein R is a lower alkyl group or an aralkyl group, n is an integer of 0 to 5, and X and Y are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group, andthe second organic developer other than the first organic developer (except 2,2-bis(3-methyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propane), a developer mixture for a thermal recording material, and a thermal recording material having a heat-coloring layer containing the developer mixture. Using the developer mixture for a thermal recording material of the present invention, a thermal recording material sufficiently satisfying the recent requirement for high sensitivity, and having superior preservation stability of color images and non-image areas can be realized.

Developer mixture for thermal recording materials and thermal recording materials

The present invention is a thermally sensitive recording medium containing a thermally sensitive color developing layer containing a colorless or pale colored basic leuco dye and a color-developing agent as the main components on a substrate, wherein the thermally sensitive recording layer contains an acrylic polymer obtained by the copolymerization of an alkyl acrylate, alkyl methacrylate and vinylsilane as monomer components and a colloidal. Further, the present invention is a thermally sensitive recording medium, wherein the colloidal silica possesses a chain structure.

Heat-sensitive recording material

A thermally sensitive recording medium including on a support a thermally sensitive color development layer containing: a compound represented by the following general formula (1) as an organic color developing agent; and an oxalate compound represented by the following general formula (2) as a sensitizer. (In the formula (1): M represents CO or NRCO; when M is CO, mis 1; and when mis 0 and M is NRCO, B is not 0.)

Thermally sensitive recording medium

The object of the present invention is to provide a novel developer capable or realizing a thermal recording material superior in preservation stability (i.e., heat resistance, moisture resistance) of color images and non-image areas, while satisfying the recent request for high sensitivity, and a thermal recording material using the developer. The developer for a thermal recording material of the present invention is characterized in that it consists of a composition containing, of condensates represented by the formula (I): wherein R is a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a cyano group, a nitro group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group, R in the number of m may be the same or different and m is an integer of 0&#x2013;3, and n is an integer of 0&#x2013;3, a condensate having two cores wherein n=0 as a main component, and at least one kind of condensate of the formula wherein n=1&#x2013;3, and that a thermal recording material obtained using this developer shows high sensitivity, high dynamic color density, and superior preservation stability.

Developers for thermal recording materials and thermal recording materials

A thermally recording sheet which has high sensitivity in color development, satisfactory background heat resistance, and a satisfactory background color. The sheet contains a dihydroxydiphenylsulfone compound represented by general formula (1) as a color developer and a sulfonamide represented by general formula (2). In the formula, R and R each represents C alkyl, alkenyl, or halogeno; and a and b each is an integer of 0 to 3. In the formula, R represents C alkyl or electron-attracting group; and n is an integer of 0 to 2.

Thermal recording material

The present invention provides a thermally sensitive recording medium that possesses a thermally sensitive color developing layer containing colorless or pale colored basic leuco dye and an organic color developer as main components on a substrate, wherein said thermally sensitive recording medium contains at least one kind of an ultraviolet ray absorbent of aqueous emulsion type polymer composed of an emulsion copolymerized compound of (a) ultraviolet ray absorbing monomer, (b) vinyl compound monomer that can copolymerize with said monomer, (c) hydrophilic monomer and (d) reactive emulsifier.

A thermally sensitive recording paper having a recording surface which when a postage stamp or a revenue stamp is adhered to the recording surface requires at least ten cycles of a removal test procedure to remove at least one third of the adhered surface of the stamp from the recording surface of the thermally sensitive recording paper, wherein the removal test procedure comprises adhering the postage stamp or revenue stamp to the recording surface of the thermally sensitive recording paper, hanging the recording paper over an iron bar of about 8 mm diameter with the postage stamp or revenue stamp on an outer surface of the recording paper, adjusting the recording paper such that equal lengths are on either side of the iron bar, attaching to one end of the thermally sensitive recording paper a weight of about 500 g, holding the other end of the thermally sensitive recording paper by hand and carrying out a pull down ant put back cycle motion of the hand to move the postage stamp or revenue stamp over the iron bar until at least a portion of the postage stamp or revenue stamp is removed from the surface of the recording paper.

A thermally sensitive recording medium which has good printability and surface glossness, by forming a glossing layer on a thermally sensitive recording layer on a substrate, and said glossing layer contains an inorganic pigment and a fixing composition which does not cause sticking at higher temperature than 200&deg; C., and the surface glossiness of the glossing layer based on JIS-P-8142 in which angle of incidence and angle of reflect is 75 degree is bigger than 50%.

A thermally sensitive recording medium which has thermally sensitive recording layer containing colorless or pale colored basic leuco dye and organic color developer as main components on a substrate, wherein said thermally sensitive recording layer contains diphenylsulfone bridgeable type compound represented by general formula (1) and at least one compound represented by general formula (1).

The thermally sensitive recording medium having sufficient color developing density and develops sepia color or light brown color. The color difference a* value of developed image of said thermally sensitive recording medium regulated by JIS-Z-8729 is within the region of 0&tilde;40 and b* value is within the region of 0&tilde;55.
