A generator hub adapter is disclosed that is for use on a bicycle generator hub. The generator hub adaptor includes a mounting portion and a contact terminal. The mounting portion has a contact surface dimensioned and arranged to contact an axial outer face of a nut member of the generator hub. The mounting portion is electrically connectable to the nut member and easily mounted on a hub axle supporting the generator hub. The contact terminal is formed integrally with the mounting portion and provides a simple means for completing an electrical circuit without modification to a bicycle frame or the generator hub.

A bicycle shift control device includes a shifter housing, a shift control mechanism and a bicycle light structure. The shift control mechanism is coupled to the shifter housing. The shift control mechanism is configured and arranged to control a bicycle transmission component. The bicycle light structure is coupled to the shifter housing. The bicycle light structure includes a bicycle location light that is arranged and configured to project light outwardly from the shifter housing at a location remote from a gear position indicator. Preferably, the bicycle light structure is also configured and arranged to illuminate the gear position indicator at a location remote from the light projecting outwardly from the shifter housing.

A method of supporting first and second indicators for a bicycle is provided, which involves mounting an indicator holder to a mounting portion of the bicycle; slidably supporting a first housing of the first indicator on the indicator holder for sliding adjustment along a first longitudinal axis of the indicator holder; and slidably supporting a second housing of the second indicator on the indicator holder for sliding adjustment along a second longitudinal axis that is parallel to the first longitudinal axis on a second surface of the indicator holder. In one embodiment, the step of mounting the indicator holder includes mounting the indicator holder on a handlebar that forms the mounting portion of the bicycle.

An indicator assembly for a bicycle is provided with at least two indicators movably coupled to an indicator holder. A first of the indicators has a first housing, a first cable with a first cable end coupled to the first housing and a first indicator member coupled to the first cable for movement relative to the first housing. A second of the indicators has a second housing, a second cable with an end coupled to the second housing and a second indicator member coupled to the second cable for movement relative to the second housing. The indicator holder has an attachment portion adapted to be coupled to a portion of a bicycle and a support portion that movably supports the indicators. In one embodiment, the support portion has at least two coupling members that form a pair of retaining slots to slidably support the indicators. In another embodiment, the indicators are slidably coupled together and slidably coupled in a single retaining slot.

Gear indicator holder for a bicycle

A mounting device adapted to be coupled to a portion of a bicycle to adjustably support at least one bicycle component thereon. The bicycle mounting device has a bar clamp and a support member. The bar clamp has a bar clamping portion adapted to be coupled to the portion of the bicycle and a support portion spaced from the bar clamping portion. One of the bar clamping portion and the support portion has a ball joint with a mounting bore formed therein. The support member is slidably coupled to the support portion and adapted to support at least one bicycle component thereon. In the illustrated embodiment, the ball joint is formed in the support portion for adjusting the orientation of the support member relative to the portion of the bicycle. In the illustrated embodiment, gear indicators are supported on the support portion. Of course, the mounting device can be used to support a cycle computer, a speed indicator and the like.
