A Talbot imaging apparatus includes a radiation source, a plurality of gratings, a capturing control unit, a radiation detector, a setting unit and an irradiation control unit. The radiation source irradiates radiation. The capturing control unit relatively shifts the plurality of gratings and performs control of capturing a plurality of Moire images of a subject to generate a reconstructed image. The radiation detector acquires a captured Moire image. The setting unit sets a capturing condition for capturing a second and further Moire images by making a capturing result of a first Moire image be a reference, or sets a capturing condition for the plurality of Moire images by making another Moire image captured before capturing the plurality of Moire images be a reference. The irradiation control unit controls irradiation of radiation from the radiation source based on the capturing condition set by the setting unit.

Talbot imaging apparatus

A medical image system includes an X-ray imaging device with a Talbot or Talbot-Lau interferometer, a reconstructed image generation unit, an extraction unit, a feature value calculation unit and a determination unit. The generation unit generates, among a differential phase image, an absorption image and a small-angle scattering image, at least the differential phase image based on an image signal obtained by the X-ray imaging device imaging a joint part. The extraction unit extracts a joint cartilage region based on the differential phase image. The calculation unit analyzes the joint cartilage region to calculate a feature value indicating a joint cartilage state. The determination unit compares the feature value with a predetermined reference value and determines, based on the comparison result, into which one of predetermined scores of multiple stages the joint cartilage state falls.

Medical image system and joint cartilage state score determination method

A medical imaging system includes an X-ray Talbot imaging apparatus and an image processing apparatus. The X-ray Talbot imaging apparatus includes a controller which generates reconstructed image(s) including at least a differential phase image from image signals of an imaged subject. The image processing apparatus measures the thickness of cartilage in the joint in the differential phase image or an image generated from the differential phase image, by reference to at least one of i) an edge of a bone in the joint identified in a reconstructed image or an image generated from the reconstructed image and ii) an edge of the cartilage identified in the differential phase image or the image generated from the differential phase image.

The apparatus captures at least a Moire image from which a differential phase image of an object is generated. The equivalent phantom includes a first substance having a first refractive index and a second substance having a second refractive index. A ratio of the first refractive index to the second refractive index is equal to a ratio of a refractive index of a soft tissue to a refractive index of a surrounding tissue. At least a part of a shape of one of the first and second substances is equal to a shape of a corresponding portion of the soft tissue.

Equivalent phantom and method of evaluating quality of X-ray talbot imaging apparatus with the same

A medical imaging system includes an X-ray imaging apparatus and an image processor. The X-ray imaging apparatus is provided with a Talbot or Talbot-Lau interferometer and includes an X-ray source, an X-ray detector, and a subject table. The image processor generates a differential phase image, and optionally, one or both of an X-ray absorption image and a small-angle scattering image of the subject on the basis of the image signal of the subject. The image processor specifies a location of an edge of a bone in the joint on the basis of at least one of the generated images; and detects an edge of a cartilage in the joint in the differential phase image on the basis of the specified location of the bone edge to quantitatively measure a feature of the cartilage.

A joint imaging apparatus includes a subject table and a radiographic unit including a radiation generating section disposed above the subject table to irradiate a joint of a finger, and a detecting section disposed under the subject table to detect radiation passing through the joint. The subject table includes a base unit to fix the wrist, and a subject fixing unit to fix the joint to a predetermined position. The subject fixing unit includes a first fixing member to fix a part on the trunk side of the joint, and a second fixing member to fix a part on the side, opposite to the trunk side, of the joint. A position of the second fixing member is adjustable relative to that of the first fixing member.

To reduce ink bleeding and growing of dot diameters for high image quality, an ink jet recording apparatus for recording a color image includes a first head group including chromatic color ink recording heads, a second head group including at least one of a transparent ink recording head and an achromatic color ink recording head, and light emitting devices for curing a photocurable ink having landed on a recording medium. The first and the second head groups are disposed along a scanning direction. The chromatic color ink recording heads of the first head group do not have the light emitting device therebetween along the scanning direction. And the light emitting device is arranged along the scanning direction between the first and second head groups and further arranged at least on a trailing side, in the scanning direction, of a trailing one of the first and second head groups.

Inkjet recording device and inkjet recording

An ink-jet recording apparatus has ink jetting nozzles through each of which a photocurable ink is jetted for recording an image onto a recording material by an ink jetting method. The apparatus includes a color ink recording head for jetting color ink, a clear ink recording head for jetting clear ink; and an ink amount determining section for determining an amount of the clear ink to be jetted from the clear ink recording head, by causing at least one of the color ink recording head and the clear ink recording head to record a predetermined test pattern on the recording material, and on the basis of a glossiness of the recorded test pattern. A glossiness measuring device measures the glossiness, and the ink amount determining device determines the amount of the clear ink based on the measured glossiness.

Ink-jet recording apparatus

The inkjet recording apparatus has a color ink recording head to jet color ink toward a recording medium; an invisible ink recording head to jet invisible ink toward the recording medium; and a light irradiating device to irradiate light toward the recording medium to cure the ink.
