A belt-like article has fastening elements continuous attached along an entire periphery of a long tape main body. The belt-like article further includes engaging means capable of engaging with/disengaging from each other, each of which has an engaging portion provided at a predetermined position in a longitudinal direction of the tape main body. By winding the belt-like article spirally about an end portion thereof so as to engage the opposing fastening elements successively, a diversified types of the storage bodies can be obtained. Further, by engaging the engaging means with each other, the belt-like article can be used as a neck strap for hanging the storage body for accommodating an object. Therefore, the belt-like article is provided with not only an application as the belt-like article but also an application as a storage body for various objects, which are functionally related to each other, so that it can be used sufficiently for practical purpose.

An object of the present invention is to provide a linear slide fastener capable of maintaining a stabilized condition in which an attachment yarn for attaching a fastener element is never out out by abrasion due to a contact with other object or sliding of a slider. A coil-like or zigzag-like linear fastener element row is attached to a fastener tape with a multi-filament attachment yarn or a sewing yarn of double lock sewing system. Then, synthetic resin material having adhesive property is applied to an entangled portion between a looper yarn disposed on the linear fastener element row and a needle yarn so as to permeate the entangled portion and harden. Consequently, the attachment yarn is coated and fixed with the synthetic resin material, As the attachment yarn, a weaving yarn or a warp knitting yarn is used. The synthetic resin material is applied to the entangled portion or an intersecting portion so as to permeate them. As a result, a strong, abrasion resistant yarn can be formed and the yarns are bonded with each other so as to achieve a stabilized condition which provides an excellent performance for guiding a slider.

Linear slide fastener and manufacturing method thereof

Disclosed is a recyclable slide fastener having substantially all the component parts thereof made of the same type of synthetic resin material. In the fundamental embodiment of the slide fastener having a pair of fastener tapes and coupling elements fixed to the longitudinal edges of the fastener tapes, they are made of a synthetic resin material of the same type selected from the group consisting of a polyamide resin, a polyester resin, a polyolefin resin, and a vinyl chloride resin. When the slide fastener comprises sewing threads for the fixation of the coupling elements to the fastener tapes and/or core cords extended as inserted through the individual coupling elements, they are made of the same type of synthetic resin as the fastener tapes and the coupling elements. In the slide fastener of the type having upper and lower stop members provided respectively at the upper and lower ends of the rows of coupling elements or the open-link type slide fastener which has a pin-and-box separator and a pair of reinforcing sheet-like members fixed to the lower end portions of the fastener tapes, they are made of the same type of synthetic resin material as the other component parts mentioned above. Preferably the slider is also made of the same type of synthetic resin material as the other component parts mentioned above.

A colorful fastener tape for a slide fastener chain and a fastener stringer comprising such a fastener tape have an ornamental portion arranged along an inner longitudinal edge of the fastener tape and formed by multicolored yarns. A multicolored cord or a number of multicolored yarns are woven or knitted into the fastener tape 1 along the inner longitudinal edge to produce a thickened reinforced section, thus producing an ornamental portion such as of rainbow colored. Fastener elements of various types may be fitted to the reinforced section of the fastener tape of the a fastener stringer, thus the fastener stringer has a beautiful ornamental portion. When multicolored yarns are used for several warps or warp knitting yarns located adjacent to the reinforced section, a broadened ornamental portion can be produced to enhance the color effect of the fastener stringer that may be used for a dress to improve its color effect.

Fastener tape and stringer for a slide fastener chain

A separable bottom stop assembly of thermoplastic resin comprising a box molded on a lower end of one of opposite slide fastener stringers and an insert pin molded on a lower end of the other fastener stringer. The box has a straight insert-pin receiving hole off to one side. An outer wall of the insert-pin hole has a side slit having at its lower end a stopper. The insert pin is taper toward its lower end and has a straight tape-side edge. A guide ridge is integrally formed with the insert pin with a thin portion between them. When the insert pin is inserted into the insert-pin hole of the box, a lower end of the guide ridge slides along edges of the side slit, guiding insertion of the insert pin to facilitate smooth insertion without exerting load on the insert pin.

Separable bottom stop assembly for slide fastener

A slide fastener having a split arrester for preventing a pair of interengaged fastener stringers S from accidental splitting when a slider is removed. The split arrester comprises interlocking male and female members mounted on a pair of fastener stringers contiguously to the respective terminal portions of opposed coupling element rows and substantially equal in thickness and width of the coupling elements E. The male member has a locking tongue portion projecting from an attachment base portion toward the female member and terminated in a protuberance. The female member has a locking hollow portion, for receiving the locking tongue portion and having a pair of resilient catch portions for gripping the neck of the protuberance from opposite sides in the direction of thickness of the fastener tape.

Slide fastener

Disclosed are a phosphorescent synthetic resin material capable of absorbing and accumulating light therein in the light and phosphorescing in the dark, a method for the production of the material, and a formed article or molded article made of the phosphorescent synthetic resin material. The phosphorescent synthetic resin material having a phosphorescent pigment, SrAl.sub.2 O.sub.4, uniformly dispersed in the synthetic resin is obtained by mixing the synthetic resin with the phosphorescent pigment and an activator and kneading the resultant mixture at a temperature 10 to 20.degree. C. higher than the melting point of the synthetic resin. In a preferred embodiment, the resultant compound is extruded at a temperature 10.degree. to 20.degree. C. higher than the melting point of the synthetic resin under an extrusion pressure in the range of 50 to 130 kg/cm.sup.2 and the extruded strands are chopped to produce pellets. By injection molding or extrusion molding the produced pellets into a desired shape, the formed article of synthetic resin possessing outstanding phosphorescent properties is obtained.

Phosphorescent synthetic resin material method for production thereof,

A slide fastener of synthetic resin which has regularly spaced elements formed and fixed to the edge of fastener tape by the injection molding of the molten mass of the synthetic resin is disclosed. The fastener tape is formed of polyethylene terephthalate and the elements of slide fastener are made of a polymer alloy of polybutylene terephthalate with polypropylene or polyethylene terephthalate.

The present invention provides fastener elements for use in a slide fastener in which, regardless of the quality of material, a metallic coating layer having an excellent adhesiveness and 0.001 to 1.0 .mu.m in thickness is simply and easily formed on the surface of a fastener element member so that the surface thereof gives out the luster of metal. The surface of the metallic coating layer may further be formed at least thereon with a finishing coat layer. In the present invention, there is further provided a slide fastener having a light weight and flexibility in which such a fastener element member as being made synthetic resin having the luster of metal on the surface thereof.

Slide fastener and fastener elements therefor

A sliding clasp fastener comprising a pair of support tapes carrying rows of coupling elements thereon and a slider adapted to couple and uncouple the rows of elements. The elements are formed from a plastic monofilament into a continuous spiral or meander formation. The monofilament is provided with a multiplicity of indents arranged to extend longitudinally thereof, the indents being filled with a lubricative agent.

Sliding clasp fastener

An improved slide fastener with a separator attached thereto of the type including a pair of fastener stringers and a pair of male and female members constituting the separator is disclosed. A stepped portion is provided for each of the fastener stringers between the lowermost end of the fastener element and the core portion formed at the lower end part of the fastener stringer. Each of the male and female members is formed with a slit-shaped groove at its upper side wall so that it is fixedly secured to the fastener stringer by causing the stepped portion to abut against the engagement groove. Each of the male and female members is preferably fixed to the associated fastener stringer by caulking or notch-like fingers.

Separable slide fastener

An improved separable slide fastener of the type including a pair of fastener stringers, a pair of male and female members and a box, said male and female members and said box constituting a separator, is disclosed. Each of the female member and the male member includes at least one notch-shaped pawl which is bent inwardly of the rear surface to extend through the fastener tape until it reach to cut in the core cord whereby it is fixedly secured to the lower end part of the fastener stringer. At least one notch-shaped pawl is bent inwardly of the rear surface of the box and extends through the rear surface of the female member and the associated fastener tape whereby the box is fixedly secured to the female member. The box is preferably formed with longitudinally spaced two pawls. The pawls on the female member are formed in the superimposed state relative to the pawls on the box at the same time when the latter are formed.

Slide fastener with a separator attached thereto

A warp-knit stringer tape, for slide fasteners, including a pair of transversely non-stretchable longitudinal edge portions and a transversely stretchable intermediate portion extending therebetween. The stringer tape has a knit ground structure composed of chain stitches and tricot stitches. At the stretchable intermediate portion, the tricot stitches are formed of a plurality of elastic yarns such as stretch yarns, while the chain stitches are formed of a plurality of non-elastic yarns such as multifilament yarns. At least one elastic weft yarn is laid in the knit ground structure at the stretchable intermediate portion.

Transversely stretchable stringer tape for slide fasteners

A slide fastener stringer tape has a beaded longitudinal edge comprising a woven tube integral with a tape web and a reinforcing filler extending through the woven tube. The woven tube includes a plurality of threads of synthetic resin, such as textured yarns, which when heated become shrunk to enable the woven tube to fasten the reinforcing filler therein. The woven tube and the reinforcing filler are thus joined firmly together. The reinforcing filler comprises a central core and a warp-knit tube surrounding the central core and extending longitudinally therewith.

Stringer tape for slide fasteners

Disclosed herein is an improvement in a slide fastener tape including a tape body comprising interlaced warp ends and weft picks and a beaded edge having a core member disposed parallel to the tape body at one side thereof and a plurality of appendant warp ends which form a circular weave with the weft picks of the tape body enclosing the core member. According to this invention, the appendant warp ends are placed only on the upper and lower sides of the core member so as to make the cross section of the finished beaded edge generally rectangular with a height greater than the width.
