The present invention provides a manufacturing method of a compressible printing layer, comprising a vulcanizing step comprising a first heating process in which one surface of a compressible printing layer including an unvulcanized compressible layer containing microcapsules is heated by bringing the one surface of the compressible printing layer into contact with the surface of at least one heated metal roll while applying tension to the compressible printing layer, and a second heating process in which the other surface of the compressible printing layer is heated by bringing the other surface of the compressible printing layer into contact with the surface of at least one heated metal roll while applying tension to the compressible printing layer.

Manufacturing method of compressible printing layer and manufacturing method of blanket for printing

A printing blanket is designed to have less sink-down, less variation in thickness along with time, less susceptible to temperature or moisture, and which employs woven fabric having excellent measurement stability, thereby having a sufficient durability against variation in thickness in high-speed printing. The printing rubber blanket includes a surface rubber layer, and at least two fabric layers, in which at least one of the fabric layers other than that located adjacent to the surface rubber layer is woven fabric made of a yarn of No. 10 count or less but No. 6 count or more used for warps of the woven fabric, and a yarn of No. 30 count or less but No. 20 count or more used for wefts of the woven fabric, and the woven fabric is subjected to a stretching process in which the woven fabric is expanded in the warp direction.

Printing rubber blanket

A printing rubber blanket includes a surface rubber layer, a second base fabric layer and a first base fabric layer to be provided between the surface rubber layer and second base fabric layer, wherein the first base fabric layer contains at least one type of fiber selected from the group consisting of nylon-based fiber, polyester-based fiber, polyvinyl-alcohol-based fiber, polyolefin-based fiber, rayon fiber, and cotton fiber, and has a thickness within a range of 0.17 to 0.33 mm, a residual elongation within a range of 7% (inclusive) to 15% (exclusive) in a printing direction, and a breaking strength within a range of 20 to 70 kgf/cm in the printing direction.

Compressible printing blanket and method of manufacturing a compressible printing blanket

The present invention provides a rubber blanket for an offset printing, comprising a surface rubber layer, a first fabric layer, a compressible layer and a second fabric layer, wherein the thickness of the blanket falls within a range of between 1.65 mm and 3 mm, the first fabric layer is a plain weave having a thickness falling within a range of between 0.2 mm and 0.35 mm, the second fabric layer is a plain weave having a thickness falling within a range of between 0.35 mm and 0.55 mm, a tensile strength not lower than 50 kgf/cm, and an elongation at break not higher than 7.5%, and the compressible layer has a thickness falling within a range of between 0.5 mm and 2.15 mm.
